NIV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionNew Living Translation
Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD.1Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the LORD.
Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart--2Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts.
they do no wrong but follow his ways.3They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths.
You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed.4You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully.
Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees!5Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees!
Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands.6Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands.
I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws.7As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!
I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me.8I will obey your decrees. Please don’t give up on me! Beth
How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.9How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word.
I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.10I have tried hard to find you— don’t let me wander from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.11I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
Praise be to you, LORD; teach me your decrees.12I praise you, O LORD; teach me your decrees.
With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth.13I have recited aloud all the regulations you have given us.
I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.14I have rejoiced in your laws as much as in riches.
I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways.15I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways.
I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.16I will delight in your decrees and not forget your word. Gimel
Be good to your servant while I live, that I may obey your word.17Be good to your servant, that I may live and obey your word.
Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.18Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions.
I am a stranger on earth; do not hide your commands from me.19I am only a foreigner in the land. Don’t hide your commands from me!
My soul is consumed with longing for your laws at all times.20I am always overwhelmed with a desire for your regulations.
You rebuke the arrogant, who are accursed, those who stray from your commands.21You rebuke the arrogant; those who wander from your commands are cursed.
Remove from me their scorn and contempt, for I keep your statutes.22Don’t let them scorn and insult me, for I have obeyed your laws.
Though rulers sit together and slander me, your servant will meditate on your decrees.23Even princes sit and speak against me, but I will meditate on your decrees.
Your statutes are my delight; they are my counselors.24Your laws please me; they give me wise advice. Daleth
I am laid low in the dust; preserve my life according to your word.25I lie in the dust; revive me by your word.
I gave an account of my ways and you answered me; teach me your decrees.26I told you my plans, and you answered. Now teach me your decrees.
Cause me to understand the way of your precepts, that I may meditate on your wonderful deeds.27Help me understand the meaning of your commandments, and I will meditate on your wonderful deeds.
My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.28I weep with sorrow; encourage me by your word.
Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me and teach me your law.29Keep me from lying to myself; give me the privilege of knowing your instructions.
I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on your laws.30I have chosen to be faithful; I have determined to live by your regulations.
I hold fast to your statutes, LORD; do not let me be put to shame.31I cling to your laws. LORD, don’t let me be put to shame!
I run in the path of your commands, for you have broadened my understanding.32I will pursue your commands, for you expand my understanding. He
Teach me, LORD, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end.33Teach me your decrees, O LORD; I will keep them to the end.
Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart.34Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into practice with all my heart.
Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.35Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found.
Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.36Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money!
Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.37Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word.
Fulfill your promise to your servant, so that you may be feared.38Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you.
Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good.39Help me abandon my shameful ways; for your regulations are good.
How I long for your precepts! In your righteousness preserve my life.40I long to obey your commandments! Renew my life with your goodness. Waw
May your unfailing love come to me, LORD, your salvation, according to your promise;41LORD, give me your unfailing love, the salvation that you promised me.
then I can answer anyone who taunts me, for I trust in your word.42Then I can answer those who taunt me, for I trust in your word.
Never take your word of truth from my mouth, for I have put my hope in your laws.43Do not snatch your word of truth from me, for your regulations are my only hope.
I will always obey your law, for ever and ever.44I will keep on obeying your instructions forever and ever.
I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.45I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.
I will speak of your statutes before kings and will not be put to shame,46I will speak to kings about your laws, and I will not be ashamed.
for I delight in your commands because I love them.47How I delight in your commands! How I love them!
I reach out for your commands, which I love, that I may meditate on your decrees.48I honor and love your commands. I meditate on your decrees. Zayin
Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.49Remember your promise to me; it is my only hope.
My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.50Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles.
The arrogant mock me unmercifully, but I do not turn from your law.51The proud hold me in utter contempt, but I do not turn away from your instructions.
I remember, LORD, your ancient laws, and I find comfort in them.52I meditate on your age-old regulations; O LORD, they comfort me.
Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law.53I become furious with the wicked, because they reject your instructions.
Your decrees are the theme of my song wherever I lodge.54Your decrees have been the theme of my songs wherever I have lived.
In the night, LORD, I remember your name, that I may keep your law.55I reflect at night on who you are, O LORD; therefore, I obey your instructions.
This has been my practice: I obey your precepts.56This is how I spend my life: obeying your commandments. Heth
You are my portion, LORD; I have promised to obey your words.57LORD, you are mine! I promise to obey your words!
I have sought your face with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise.58With all my heart I want your blessings. Be merciful as you promised.
I have considered my ways and have turned my steps to your statutes.59I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws.
I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands.60I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands.
Though the wicked bind me with ropes, I will not forget your law.61Evil people try to drag me into sin, but I am firmly anchored to your instructions.
At midnight I rise to give you thanks for your righteous laws.62I rise at midnight to thank you for your just regulations.
I am a friend to all who fear you, to all who follow your precepts.63I am a friend to anyone who fears you— anyone who obeys your commandments.
The earth is filled with your love, LORD; teach me your decrees.64O LORD, your unfailing love fills the earth; teach me your decrees. Teth
Do good to your servant according to your word, LORD.65You have done many good things for me, LORD, just as you promised.
Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I trust your commands.66I believe in your commands; now teach me good judgment and knowledge.
Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word.67I used to wander off until you disciplined me; but now I closely follow your word.
You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees.68You are good and do only good; teach me your decrees.
Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies, I keep your precepts with all my heart.69Arrogant people smear me with lies, but in truth I obey your commandments with all my heart.
Their hearts are callous and unfeeling, but I delight in your law.70Their hearts are dull and stupid, but I delight in your instructions.
It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.71My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your decrees.
The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.72Your instructions are more valuable to me than millions in gold and silver. Yodh
Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands.73You made me; you created me. Now give me the sense to follow your commands.
May those who fear you rejoice when they see me, for I have put my hope in your word.74May all who fear you find in me a cause for joy, for I have put my hope in your word.
I know, LORD, that your laws are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.75I know, O LORD, that your regulations are fair; you disciplined me because I needed it.
May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.76Now let your unfailing love comfort me, just as you promised me, your servant.
Let your compassion come to me that I may live, for your law is my delight.77Surround me with your tender mercies so I may live, for your instructions are my delight.
May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause; but I will meditate on your precepts.78Bring disgrace upon the arrogant people who lied about me; meanwhile, I will concentrate on your commandments.
May those who fear you turn to me, those who understand your statutes.79Let me be united with all who fear you, with those who know your laws.
May I wholeheartedly follow your decrees, that I may not be put to shame.80May I be blameless in keeping your decrees; then I will never be ashamed. Kaph
My soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word.81I am worn out waiting for your rescue, but I have put my hope in your word.
My eyes fail, looking for your promise; I say, "When will you comfort me?"82My eyes are straining to see your promises come true. When will you comfort me?
Though I am like a wineskin in the smoke, I do not forget your decrees.83I am shriveled like a wineskin in the smoke, but I have not forgotten to obey your decrees.
How long must your servant wait? When will you punish my persecutors?84How long must I wait? When will you punish those who persecute me?
The arrogant dig pits to trap me, contrary to your law.85These arrogant people who hate your instructions have dug deep pits to trap me.
All your commands are trustworthy; help me, for I am being persecuted without cause.86All your commands are trustworthy. Protect me from those who hunt me down without cause.
They almost wiped me from the earth, but I have not forsaken your precepts.87They almost finished me off, but I refused to abandon your commandments.
In your unfailing love preserve my life, that I may obey the statutes of your mouth.88In your unfailing love, spare my life; then I can continue to obey your laws. Lamedh
Your word, LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.89Your eternal word, O LORD, stands firm in heaven.
Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures.90Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created.
Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you.91Your regulations remain true to this day, for everything serves your plans.
If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.92If your instructions hadn’t sustained me with joy, I would have died in my misery.
I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life.93I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life.
Save me, for I am yours; I have sought out your precepts.94I am yours; rescue me! For I have worked hard at obeying your commandments.
The wicked are waiting to destroy me, but I will ponder your statutes.95Though the wicked hide along the way to kill me, I will quietly keep my mind on your laws.
To all perfection I see a limit, but your commands are boundless.96Even perfection has its limits, but your commands have no limit. Mem
Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.97Oh, how I love your instructions! I think about them all day long.
Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies.98Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are my constant guide.
I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.99Yes, I have more insight than my teachers, for I am always thinking of your laws.
I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.100I am even wiser than my elders, for I have kept your commandments.
I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word.101I have refused to walk on any evil path, so that I may remain obedient to your word.
I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me.102I haven’t turned away from your regulations, for you have taught me well.
How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!103How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey.
I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.104Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life. Nun
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.105Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.106I’ve promised it once, and I’ll promise it again: I will obey your righteous regulations.
I have suffered much; preserve my life, LORD, according to your word.107I have suffered much, O LORD; restore my life again as you promised.
Accept, LORD, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws.108LORD, accept my offering of praise, and teach me your regulations.
Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget your law.109My life constantly hangs in the balance, but I will not stop obeying your instructions.
The wicked have set a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts.110The wicked have set their traps for me, but I will not turn from your commandments.
Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.111Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight.
My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end.112I am determined to keep your decrees to the very end. Samekh
I hate double-minded people, but I love your law.113I hate those with divided loyalties, but I love your instructions.
You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.114You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope.
Away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God!115Get out of my life, you evil-minded people, for I intend to obey the commands of my God.
Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed.116LORD, sustain me as you promised, that I may live! Do not let my hope be crushed.
Uphold me, and I will be delivered; I will always have regard for your decrees.117Sustain me, and I will be rescued; then I will meditate continually on your decrees.
You reject all who stray from your decrees, for their delusions come to nothing.118But you have rejected all who stray from your decrees. They are only fooling themselves.
All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross; therefore I love your statutes.119You skim off the wicked of the earth like scum; no wonder I love to obey your laws!
My flesh trembles in fear of you; I stand in awe of your laws.120I tremble in fear of you; I stand in awe of your regulations. Ayin
I have done what is righteous and just; do not leave me to my oppressors.121Don’t leave me to the mercy of my enemies, for I have done what is just and right.
Ensure your servant's well-being; do not let the arrogant oppress me.122Please guarantee a blessing for me. Don’t let the arrogant oppress me!
My eyes fail, looking for your salvation, looking for your righteous promise.123My eyes strain to see your rescue, to see the truth of your promise fulfilled.
Deal with your servant according to your love and teach me your decrees.124I am your servant; deal with me in unfailing love, and teach me your decrees.
I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.125Give discernment to me, your servant; then I will understand your laws.
It is time for you to act, LORD; your law is being broken.126LORD, it is time for you to act, for these evil people have violated your instructions.
Because I love your commands more than gold, more than pure gold,127Truly, I love your commands more than gold, even the finest gold.
and because I consider all your precepts right, I hate every wrong path.128Each of your commandments is right. That is why I hate every false way. Pe
Your statutes are wonderful; therefore I obey them.129Your laws are wonderful. No wonder I obey them!
The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.130The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand.
I open my mouth and pant, longing for your commands.131I pant with expectation, longing for your commands.
Turn to me and have mercy on me, as you always do to those who love your name.132Come and show me your mercy, as you do for all who love your name.

The statutes you have laid down are righteous; they are fully trustworthy.138Your laws are perfect and completely trustworthy.
My zeal wears me out, for my enemies ignore your words.139I am overwhelmed with indignation, for my enemies have disregarded your words.
Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them.140Your promises have been thoroughly tested; that is why I love them so much.
Though I am lowly and despised, I do not forget your precepts.141I am insignificant and despised, but I don’t forget your commandments.
Your righteousness is everlasting and your law is true.142Your justice is eternal, and your instructions are perfectly true.
Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands give me delight.143As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands.

Those who devise wicked schemes are near, but they are far from your law.150Lawless people are coming to attack me; they live far from your instructions.
Yet you are near, LORD, and all your commands are true.151But you are near, O LORD, and all your commands are true.
Long ago I learned from your statutes that you established them to last forever.152I have known from my earliest days that your laws will last forever. Resh

Your compassion, LORD, is great; preserve my life according to your laws.156LORD, how great is your mercy; let me be revived by following your regulations.
Many are the foes who persecute me, but I have not turned from your statutes.157Many persecute and trouble me, yet I have not swerved from your laws.

May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commands are righteous.172Let my tongue sing about your word, for all your commands are right.
May your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts.173Give me a helping hand, for I have chosen to follow your commandments.
I long for your salvation, LORD, and your law gives me delight.174O LORD, I have longed for your rescue, and your instructions are my delight.
