1
As
they drew near
to
Jerusalem
and
came
to
Bethphage
on
the
Mount
of Olives,
Jesus
sent out
two
disciples.
1
Καὶ
ὅτε
ἤγγισαν
εἰς
Ἱεροσόλυμα
καὶ
ἦλθον
εἰς
Βηθφαγὴ
εἰς
τὸ
ὄρος
τῶν
Ἐλαιῶν
τότε
Ἰησοῦς
ἀπέστειλεν
δύο
μαθητὰς
2
“Go
to
the
village
ahead
of you,”
He told
them,
“and
at once
you will find
a donkey
tied [there],
with
[her] colt
beside
her.
Untie [them]
[and] bring [them]
to Me.
2
λέγων
αὐτοῖς
Πορεύεσθε

καὶ
εὐθέως*
εὑρήσετε
ὄνον
δεδεμένην
καὶ
πῶλον

αὐτῆς
λύσαντες
ἀγάγετέ

3
If
anyone
questions
you,
tell [him]
that
the
Lord
needs
them,
and
he will send
them
right away.”
3
καὶ
ἐάν

τι
ἐρεῖτε
ὅτι
Ὁ
Κύριος
αὐτῶν

αὐτούς
4
This
took place
to
fulfill
what
was spoken
through
the
prophet:
4
Τοῦτο
δὲ
γέγονεν
ἵνα
πληρωθῇ
τὸ
ῥηθὲν
διὰ
τοῦ
προφήτου
λέγοντος
5
“Say
to the
daughter
of Zion,
‘See,
your
King
comes
to you,
gentle
and
riding
on
a donkey,
on
a colt,
[the] foal
of a beast of burden.’”

6
So
the
disciples
went
and
did
as
Jesus
had directed
them.
6
Πορευθέντες
δὲ
οἱ
μαθηταὶ
καὶ
ποιήσαντες
καθὼς

αὐτοῖς
ὁ
Ἰησοῦς
7
They brought
the
donkey
and
the
colt
and
laid
their
cloaks
on
them,
and
[Jesus] sat
on
them.
7
ἤγαγον

τὸν

καὶ

8
A massive
crowd
spread
their
cloaks
on
the
road,
while
others
cut
branches
from
the
trees
and
spread [them]
on
the
road.
8

The
crowds
that
went ahead
of Him
and
those that
followed
were shouting:
“Hosanna
to the
Son
of David!”
“Blessed is
He
who comes
in
[the] name
of [the] Lord!”
“Hosanna

9
Οἱ

When [Jesus]
had entered
Jerusalem,
the
whole
city
was stirred
[and] asked,
“Who
is
this?”
10
Καὶ
εἰσελθόντος
αὐτοῦ
εἰς
Ἱεροσόλυμα
ἐσείσθη
πᾶσα
ἡ
πόλις
λέγουσα
Τίς

11
The
crowds
replied,
“This
is
Jesus,
the
prophet
from
Nazareth
in Galilee.”
11
Οἱ
δὲ
ὄχλοι
ἔλεγον
Οὗτός

Ἰησοῦς

Γαλιλαίας
12
Then
Jesus
went
into
the
temple courts
and
drove out
all
who were
buying
and
selling
[there].
He overturned
the
tables
of the
money changers
and
the
seats
of those
selling
doves.
12
Καὶ
εἰσῆλθεν
Ἰησοῦς
εἰς
τὸ

ἐξέβαλεν

καὶ

13
And
He declared
to them,
“It is written:
‘My
house
will be called
a house
of prayer.’
But
you
are making
it
‘a den
of robbers.’”
13
καὶ

[The] blind
and
[the] lame
came
to Him
at

and
He healed
them.
14
Καὶ
προσῆλθον
αὐτῷ
τυφλοὶ
καὶ
χωλοὶ
ἐν
τῷ
ἱερῷ
καὶ
ἐθεράπευσεν
αὐτούς
15
But
the
chief priests
and
scribes
were indignant
when they saw
the
wonders
He did
and
the
children
shouting
in
the
temple courts,
“Hosanna
to the
Son
of David!”
15

16
“Do you hear
what
these [children]
are saying?”
they asked.
“Yes,”
Jesus
answered,
“have you never read:
‘From
[the] mouths
of children
and
infants
You have ordained

16

17
Then
He left
them
[and] went
out of

where He spent the night.

“May you never bear

He said.
And
immediately
the

withered.

When

“Truly

Jesus

When
[Jesus]

What was the source
of
John’s
baptism?
[Was it] from

They deliberated

themselves
[and] said,

He will ask,
‘Why

another
parable:
There was
a landowner
who
planted
a vineyard.
He put

dug

and
built
a tower.
Then
he rented it out
to [some] tenants
and
went away on a journey.

34
When
the

34
Ὅτε

35
But
the
tenants

They beat

killed
[another],
and
stoned
a third.
35

36
Again,
he sent
other

more
than the

But
[the tenants] did
the same
to them.
36
Πάλιν
ἀπέστειλεν

37
Finally,
he sent
his

to
them.
‘They will respect

he said.
37
Ὕστερον
δὲ
ἀπέστειλεν
πρὸς
αὐτοὺς

38
But when
the
tenants
saw
the
son,
they said
to
themselves,
‘This

come,
let us kill
him,
and
take

38
Οἱ
