Come
now,
you who are
rich,
weep

over
the
misery
to come
upon you.
Go to
now,
[ye] rich men,
weep
and howl
for
your

that shall come upon

Your

Their

against you

fire.
You have hoarded treasure
in
the last

Your

Ye have heaped treasure together
for

Look,
the

you.
The
cries

have reached
the

Behold,
the hire

have reaped down
your

crieth:
and
the cries

You have lived on
earth
in luxury
and
self-indulgence.
You have fattened
your
hearts
in
the day
of slaughter.
Ye have lived in pleasure
on
the earth,
and
been wanton;
ye have nourished
your

as

You have condemned

Ye have condemned

you.

Be patient,
then,
brothers,
until
the
Lord’s
coming.
See how
the
farmer
awaits
the
precious
fruit
of the
soil—
how patient he is
for
the fall
and
spring rains.
Be patient
therefore,
brethren,
unto
the coming
of the Lord.
Behold,
the husbandman
waiteth
for the precious
fruit
of the earth,
and hath long patience
for
it,
until
he receive
the early
and
latter
rain.

You,
too,

the

coming
is near.
Be
ye
also
patient;
stablish
your
hearts:
for
the coming
of the Lord
draweth nigh.

Do not

brothers,
so that
you will not be judged.
Look,
the
Judge

Grudge
not

brethren,
lest
ye be condemned:

Take,
my
brethren,
the prophets,
who
have spoken
in the name
of the Lord,
for an example
of suffering affliction,
and
of patience.

See how
blessed we consider
those who
have persevered.
You have heard
of Job’s
perseverance
and
have seen
the
outcome
from the Lord.
The
Lord
is
full of compassion
and
mercy.
Behold,
we count them happy
which endure.
Ye have heard
of the patience
of Job,
and
have seen
the end
of the Lord;
that
the Lord
is
very pitiful,
and
of tender mercy.

Above
all,

Simply

But
above

Is any one

sick?
He should call

Is

let him call

And
the
prayer offered
in faith
will restore
the one who
is sick.
The
Lord
will raise him up.
If
he
has sinned,
he will be forgiven.
And
the prayer
of faith
shall save
the sick,
and
the Lord

and if

they shall be forgiven
him.

Therefore
confess
your
sins
to each other
and
pray

each other
so that
you may be healed.
The prayer
of a righteous man
has great power
to prevail.
Confess
[your] faults

and

that
ye may be healed.
The effectual fervent
prayer
of a righteous man

much.

Elijah
was
a man
just like
us.
He prayed earnestly
that it would not
rain,
and
it did not rain

land

years.
Elias
was
a man
subject to like passions as
we are,
and
he prayed
earnestly
that it might
not
rain:
and
it rained
not
on
the earth
by the space of three
years

six
months.

Again
he prayed,
and

heavens

and

earth

And
he prayed
again,
and
the heaven
gave
rain,
and
the earth
brought forth
her
fruit.

consider
this:
Whoever

Let

from
death,
and
shall hide
a multitude
of sins.
