Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. “Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak, and let the earth hear the words of my mouth. Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. “Listen, you heavens, and I will speak; And let the earth hear the words of my mouth! Listen, you heavens, and I will speak; hear, you earth, the words of my mouth.
Let my teaching fall like rain and my speech settle like dew, like gentle rain on new grass, like showers on tender plants. May my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distill as the dew, like gentle rain upon the tender grass, and like showers upon the herb. My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass: “May my teaching drip as the rain, My speech trickle as the dew, As droplets on the fresh grass, And as the showers on the vegetation. Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.
For I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Ascribe greatness to our God! For I will proclaim the name of the LORD; ascribe greatness to our God! Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. “For I proclaim the name of the LORD; Ascribe greatness to our God! I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!
He is the Rock, His work is perfect; all His ways are just. A God of faithfulness without injustice, righteous and upright is He. “The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he. He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. “The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and just is He. He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
His people have acted corruptly toward Him; the spot on them is not that of His children, but of a perverse and crooked generation. They have dealt corruptly with him; they are no longer his children because they are blemished; they are a crooked and twisted generation. They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation. “They have acted corruptly against Him, They are not His children, because of their defect; But are a perverse and crooked generation. They are corrupt and not his children; to their shame they are a warped and crooked generation.
Is this how you repay the LORD, O foolish and senseless people? Is He not your Father and Creator? Has He not made you and established you? Do you thus repay the LORD, you foolish and senseless people? Is not he your father, who created you, who made you and established you? Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee? “Is this what you do to the LORD, You foolish and unwise people? Is He not your Father who has purchased you? He has made you and established you. Is this the way you repay the LORD, you foolish and unwise people? Is he not your Father, your Creator, who made you and formed you?
Remember the days of old; consider the years long past. Ask your father, and he will tell you, your elders, and they will inform you. Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you. Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee. “Remember the days of old, Consider the years of all generations. Ask your father and he will inform you, Your elders, and they will tell you. Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past. Ask your father and he will tell you, your elders, and they will explain to you.
When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when He divided the sons of man, He set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. “When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, When He separated the sons of mankind, He set the boundaries of the peoples According to the number of the sons of Israel. When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided all mankind, he set up boundaries for the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel.
But the LORD’s portion is His people, Jacob His allotted inheritance. But the LORD’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage. For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. “For the LORD’S portion is His people; Jacob is the allotment of His inheritance. For the LORD’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance.
He found him in a desert land, in a barren, howling wilderness; He surrounded him, He instructed him, He guarded him as the apple of His eye. “He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; he encircled him, he cared for him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. “He found him in a desert land, And in the howling wasteland of a wilderness; He encircled him, He cared for him, He guarded him as the apple of His eye. In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye,
As an eagle stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, He spread His wings to catch them and carried them on His pinions. Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young, spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions, As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: “As an eagle stirs up its nest, And hovers over its young, He spread His wings, He caught them, He carried them on His pinions. like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them aloft.
The LORD alone led him, and no foreign god was with him. the LORD alone guided him, no foreign god was with him. So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him. “The LORD alone guided him, And there was no foreign god with him. The LORD alone led him; no foreign god was with him.
He made him ride on the heights of the land and fed him the produce of the field. He nourished him with honey from the rock and oil from the flinty crag, He made him ride on the high places of the land, and he ate the produce of the field, and he suckled him with honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock. He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock; “He had him ride on the high places of the earth, And he ate the produce of the field; And He had him suck honey from the rock, And oil from the flinty rock, He made him ride on the heights of the land and fed him with the fruit of the fields. He nourished him with honey from the rock, and with oil from the flinty crag,
with curds from the herd and milk from the flock, with the fat of lambs, with rams from Bashan, and goats, with the choicest grains of wheat. From the juice of the finest grapes you drank the wine. Curds from the herd, and milk from the flock, with fat of lambs, rams of Bashan and goats, with the very finest of the wheat— and you drank foaming wine made from the blood of the grape. Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape. Curds of the herd, and milk of the flock, With fat of lambs And rams, the breed of Bashan, and of goats, With the best of the wheat; And you drank wine of the blood of grapes. with curds and milk from herd and flock and with fattened lambs and goats, with choice rams of Bashan and the finest kernels of wheat. 15 But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked— becoming fat, bloated, and gorged. He abandoned the God who made him and scorned the Rock of his salvation. “But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked; you grew fat, stout, and sleek; then he forsook God who made him and scoffed at the Rock of his salvation. But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation. “But Jeshurun became fat and kicked— You have become fat, thick, and obstinate— Then he abandoned God who made him, And rejected the Rock of his salvation. Jeshurun grew fat and kicked; filled with food, they became heavy and sleek. They abandoned the God who made them and rejected the Rock their Savior.
They provoked His jealousy with foreign gods; they enraged Him with abominations. They stirred him to jealousy with strange gods; with abominations they provoked him to anger. They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger. “They made Him jealous with strange gods; With abominations they provoked Him to anger. They made him jealous with their foreign gods and angered him with their detestable idols.
They sacrificed to demons, not to God, to gods they had not known, to newly arrived gods, which your fathers did not fear. They sacrificed to demons that were no gods, to gods they had never known, to new gods that had come recently, whom your fathers had never dreaded. They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. “They sacrificed to demons, who were not God, To gods whom they have not known, New gods who came lately, Whom your fathers did not know. They sacrificed to false gods, which are not God— gods they had not known, gods that recently appeared, gods your ancestors did not fear.
You ignored the Rock who brought you forth; you forgot the God who gave you birth. You were unmindful of the Rock that bore you, and you forgot the God who gave you birth. Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee. “You forgot the Rock who fathered you, And forgot the God who gave you birth. You deserted the Rock, who fathered you; you forgot the God who gave you birth.
When the LORD saw this, He rejected them, provoked to anger by His sons and daughters. “The LORD saw it and spurned them, because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters. And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. “The LORD saw this, and spurned them Because of the provocation by His sons and daughters. The LORD saw this and rejected them because he was angered by his sons and daughters.
He said: “I will hide My face from them; I will see what will be their end. For they are a perverse generation— children of unfaithfulness. And he said, ‘I will hide my face from them; I will see what their end will be, for they are a perverse generation, children in whom is no faithfulness. And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith. “Then He said, ‘I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end will be; For they are a perverse generation, Sons in whom there is no faithfulness. “I will hide my face from them,” he said, “and see what their end will be; for they are a perverse generation, children who are unfaithful.
They have provoked My jealousy by that which is not God; they have enraged Me with their worthless idols. So I will make them jealous by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation without understanding. They have made me jealous with what is no god; they have provoked me to anger with their idols. So I will make them jealous with those who are no people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation. They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation. ‘They have made Me jealous with what is not God; They have provoked Me to anger with their idols. So I will make them jealous with those who are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation, They made me jealous by what is no god and angered me with their worthless idols. I will make them envious by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding.
For a fire has been kindled by My anger, and it burns to the depths of Sheol; it consumes the earth and its produce, and scorches the foundations of the mountains. For a fire is kindled by my anger, and it burns to the depths of Sheol, devours the earth and its increase, and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains. For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. For a fire has flared in My anger, And it burns to the lowest part of Sheol, And devours the earth with its yield, And sets on fire the foundations of the mountains. For a fire will be kindled by my wrath, one that burns down to the realm of the dead below. It will devour the earth and its harvests and set afire the foundations of the mountains.
I will heap disasters upon them; I will spend My arrows against them. “‘And I will heap disasters upon them; I will spend my arrows on them; I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them. ‘I will add misfortunes to them; I will use up My arrows on them. “I will heap calamities on them and spend my arrows against them.
They will be wasted from hunger and ravaged by pestilence and bitter plague; I will send the fangs of wild beasts against them, with the venom of vipers that slither in the dust. they shall be wasted with hunger, and devoured by plague and poisonous pestilence; I will send the teeth of beasts against them, with the venom of things that crawl in the dust. They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust. ‘They will be wasted by famine, and emaciated by plague And a bitter epidemic; And the teeth of beasts I will send against them, With the venom of crawling things of the dust. I will send wasting famine against them, consuming pestilence and deadly plague; I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts, the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.
Outside, the sword will take their children, and inside, terror will strike the young man and the young woman, the infant and the gray-haired man. Outdoors the sword shall bereave, and indoors terror, for young man and woman alike, the nursing child with the man of gray hairs. The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs. ‘Outside the sword will make them childless, And inside, terror— Both young man and virgin, The nursing child with the man of gray hair. In the street the sword will make them childless; in their homes terror will reign. The young men and young women will perish, the infants and those with gray hair.
I would have said that I would cut them to pieces and blot out their memory from mankind, I would have said, “I will cut them to pieces; I will wipe them from human memory,” I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men: ‘I would have said, “I will wipe them out, I will remove the mention of their name from humanity,” I said I would scatter them and erase their name from human memory,
if I had not dreaded the taunt of the enemy, lest their adversaries misunderstand and say: ‘Our own hand has prevailed; it was not the LORD who did all this.’ ” had I not feared provocation by the enemy, lest their adversaries should misunderstand, lest they should say, “Our hand is triumphant, it was not the LORD who did all this.”’ Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this. Had I not feared the provocation by the enemy, That their adversaries would misjudge, That they would say, “Our hand is triumphant, And the LORD has not performed all this.”’ but I dreaded the taunt of the enemy, lest the adversary misunderstand and say, ‘Our hand has triumphed; the LORD has not done all this.’”
Israel is a nation devoid of counsel, with no understanding among them. “For they are a nation void of counsel, and there is no understanding in them. For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them. “For they are a nation destitute of counsel, And there is no understanding in them. They are a nation without sense, there is no discernment in them.
If only they were wise, they would understand it; they would comprehend their fate. If they were wise, they would understand this; they would discern their latter end! O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end! “If only they were wise and they understood this; If only they would discern their future! If only they were wise and would understand this and discern what their end will be!
How could one man pursue a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up? How could one have chased a thousand, and two have put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had given them up? How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up? “How could one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Unless their Rock had sold them, And the LORD had given them up? How could one man chase a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up?
For their rock is not like our Rock, even our enemies concede. For their rock is not as our Rock; our enemies are by themselves. For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. “Indeed, their rock is not like our Rock; Even our enemies themselves judge this. For their rock is not like our Rock, as even our enemies concede.
But their vine is from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are poisonous; their clusters are bitter. For their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah; their grapes are grapes of poison; their clusters are bitter; For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: “For their vine is from the vine of Sodom, And from the fields of Gomorrah; Their grapes are grapes of poison, Their clusters, bitter. Their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are filled with poison, and their clusters with bitterness.
Their wine is the venom of serpents, the deadly poison of cobras. their wine is the poison of serpents and the cruel venom of asps. Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps. “Their wine is the venom of serpents, And the deadly poison of vipers. Their wine is the venom of serpents, the deadly poison of cobras.
“Have I not stored up these things, sealed up within My vaults? “‘Is not this laid up in store with me, sealed up in my treasuries? Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures? ‘Is it not stored up with Me, Sealed up in My treasuries? “Have I not kept this in reserve and sealed it in my vaults?
Vengeance is Mine; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; for their day of disaster is near, and their doom is coming quickly.” Vengeance is mine, and recompense, for the time when their foot shall slip; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and their doom comes swiftly.’ To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. ‘Vengeance is Mine, and retribution; In due time their foot will slip. For the day of their disaster is near, And the impending things are hurrying to them.’ It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.”
For the LORD will vindicate His people and have compassion on His servants when He sees that their strength is gone and no one remains, slave or free. For the LORD will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone and there is none remaining, bond or free. For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left. “For the LORD will vindicate His people, And will have compassion on His servants, When He sees that their strength is gone, And there is none remaining, bond or free. The LORD will vindicate his people and relent concerning his servants when he sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free.
He will say: “Where are their gods, the rock in which they took refuge, Then he will say, ‘Where are their gods, the rock in which they took refuge, And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted, “And He will say, ‘Where are their gods, The rock in which they took refuge? He will say: “Now where are their gods, the rock they took refuge in,
which ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up and help you; let them give you shelter! who ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you; let them be your protection! Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection. ‘Those who ate the fat of their sacrifices, And drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you, Let them be your protection! the gods who ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up to help you! Let them give you shelter!
See now that I am He; there is no God besides Me. I bring death and I give life; I wound and I heal, and there is no one who can deliver from My hand. “‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand. See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. ‘See now that I, I am He, And there is no god besides Me; It is I who put to death and give life. I have wounded and it is I who heal, And there is no one who can save anyone from My hand. “See now that I myself am he! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand.
For I lift up My hand to heaven and declare: As surely as I live forever, For I lift up my hand to heaven and swear, As I live forever, For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever. ‘Indeed, I raise My hand to heaven, And say, as I live forever, I lift my hand to heaven and solemnly swear: As surely as I live forever,
when I sharpen My flashing sword, and My hand grasps it in judgment, I will take vengeance on My adversaries and repay those who hate Me. if I sharpen my flashing sword and my hand takes hold on judgment, I will take vengeance on my adversaries and will repay those who hate me. If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me. If I have sharpened My flashing sword, And My hand has taken hold of justice, I will return vengeance on My adversaries, And I will repay those who hate Me. when I sharpen my flashing sword and my hand grasps it in judgment, I will take vengeance on my adversaries and repay those who hate me.
I will make My arrows drunk with blood, while My sword devours flesh— the blood of the slain and captives, the heads of the enemy leaders.” I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh— with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the long-haired heads of the enemy.’ I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy. ‘I will make My arrows drunk with blood, And My sword will devour flesh, With the blood of the slain and the captives, From the long-haired leaders of the enemy.’ I will make my arrows drunk with blood, while my sword devours flesh: the blood of the slain and the captives, the heads of the enemy leaders.”
Rejoice, O heavens, with Him, and let all God’s angels worship Him. Rejoice, O nations, with His people; for He will avenge the blood of His children. He will take vengeance on His adversaries and repay those who hate Him; He will cleanse His land and His people. “Rejoice with him, O heavens; bow down to him, all gods, for he avenges the blood of his children and takes vengeance on his adversaries. He repays those who hate him and cleanses his people’s land.” Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people. “Rejoice, you nations, with His people; For He will avenge the blood of His servants, And will return vengeance on His adversaries, And will atone for His land and His people.” Rejoice, you nations, with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants; he will take vengeance on his enemies and make atonement for his land and people.
Then Moses came with Joshua son of Nun and recited all the words of this song in the hearing of the people. Moses came and recited all the words of this song in the hearing of the people, he and Joshua the son of Nun. And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun. Then Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people, he, with Joshua the son of Nun. Moses came with Joshua son of Nun and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people.
When Moses had finished reciting all these words to all Israel, And when Moses had finished speaking all these words to all Israel, And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel: When Moses had finished speaking all these words to all Israel, When Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel,
he said to them, “Take to heart all these words I testify among you today, so that you may command your children to carefully follow all the words of this law. he said to them, “Take to heart all the words by which I am warning you today, that you may command them to your children, that they may be careful to do all the words of this law. And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law. he said to them, “Take to your heart all the words with which I am warning you today, which you will command your sons to follow carefully, all the words of this Law. he said to them, “Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law.
For they are not idle words to you, because they are your life, and by them you will live long in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.” For it is no empty word for you, but your very life, and by this word you shall live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.” For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it. For it is not a trivial matter for you; indeed it is your life. And by this word you will prolong your days in the land, which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess.” They are not just idle words for you—they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”
On that same day the LORD said to Moses, That very day the LORD spoke to Moses, And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying, Now the LORD spoke to Moses that very same day, saying, On that same day the LORD told Moses,
“Go up into the Abarim Range to Mount Nebo, in the land of Moab across from Jericho, and view the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites as their own possession. “Go up this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, opposite Jericho, and view the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel for a possession. Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession: “Go up to this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab opposite Jericho, and look at the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the sons of Israel as a possession. “Go up into the Abarim Range to Mount Nebo in Moab, across from Jericho, and view Canaan, the land I am giving the Israelites as their own possession.
And there on the mountain that you climb, you will die and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people. And die on the mountain which you go up, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died in Mount Hor and was gathered to his people, And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people: Then you are to die on the mountain where you ascend, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people, There on the mountain that you have climbed you will die and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people.
For at the waters of Meribah-kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin, both of you broke faith with Me among the Israelites by failing to treat Me as holy in their presence. because you broke faith with me in the midst of the people of Israel at the waters of Meribah-kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin, and because you did not treat me as holy in the midst of the people of Israel. Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of MeribahKadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel. because you broke faith with Me in the midst of the sons of Israel at the waters of Meribah-kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin, because you did not treat Me as holy in the midst of the sons of Israel. This is because both of you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites.
Although you shall see from a distance the land that I am giving the Israelites, you shall not enter it.” For you shall see the land before you, but you shall not go there, into the land that I am giving to the people of Israel.” Yet thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel. For you will see the land at a distance but you will not go there, into the land which I am giving the sons of Israel.” Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”
