1	הוֹד֣וּ לַ֭יהוָה קִרְא֣וּ בִּשְׁמ֑וֹ הוֹדִ֥יעוּ בָ֝עַמִּ֗ים עֲלִילוֹתָֽיו׃	Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!	Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done.
2	שִֽׁירוּ־ ל֭וֹ זַמְּרוּ־ ל֑וֹ שִׂ֝֗יחוּ בְּכָל־ נִפְלְאוֹתָֽיו׃	Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works!	Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.
3	הִֽ֭תְהַלְלוּ בְּשֵׁ֣ם קָדְשׁ֑וֹ יִ֝שְׂמַ֗ח לֵ֤ב ׀ מְבַקְשֵׁ֬י יְהוָֽה׃	Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice!	Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
4	דִּרְשׁ֣וּ יְהוָ֣ה וְעֻזּ֑וֹ בַּקְּשׁ֖וּ פָנָ֣יו תָּמִֽיד׃	Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!	Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.
5	זִכְר֗וּ נִפְלְאוֹתָ֥יו אֲשֶׁר־ עָשָׂ֑ה מֹ֝פְתָ֗יו וּמִשְׁפְּטֵי־ פִֽיו׃	Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he uttered,	Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,
6	זֶ֭רַע אַבְרָהָ֣ם עַבְדּ֑וֹ בְּנֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֣ב בְּחִירָֽיו׃	O offspring of Abraham, his servant, children of Jacob, his chosen ones!	you his servants, the descendants of Abraham, his chosen ones, the children of Jacob.
7	ה֭וּא יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ בְּכָל־ הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ מִשְׁפָּטָֽיו׃	He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.	He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
8	זָכַ֣ר לְעוֹלָ֣ם בְּרִית֑וֹ דָּבָ֥ר צִ֝וָּ֗ה לְאֶ֣לֶף דּֽוֹר׃	He remembers his covenant forever, the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations,	He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations,
9	אֲשֶׁ֣ר כָּ֭רַת אֶת־ אַבְרָהָ֑ם וּשְׁב֖וּעָת֣וֹ לְיִשְׂחָֽק׃	the covenant that he made with Abraham, his sworn promise to Isaac,	the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.
10	וַיַּֽעֲמִידֶ֣הָ לְיַעֲקֹ֣ב לְחֹ֑ק לְ֝יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל בְּרִ֣ית עוֹלָֽם׃	which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant,	He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:
11	לֵאמֹ֗ר לְךָ֗ אֶתֵּ֥ן אֶת־ אֶֽרֶץ־ כְּנָ֑עַן חֶ֝֗בֶל נַחֲלַתְכֶֽם׃	saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance.”	“To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.”
12	בִּֽ֭הְיוֹתָם מְתֵ֣י מִסְפָּ֑ר כִּ֝מְעַ֗ט וְגָרִ֥ים בָּֽהּ׃	When they were few in number, of little account, and sojourners in it,	When they were but few in number, few indeed, and strangers in it,
13	וַֽ֭יִּתְהַלְּכוּ מִגּ֣וֹי אֶל־ גּ֑וֹי מִ֝מַּמְלָכָ֗ה אֶל־ עַ֥ם אַחֵֽר׃	wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,	they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.
14	לֹֽא־ הִנִּ֣יחַ אָדָ֣ם לְעָשְׁקָ֑ם וַיּ֖וֹכַח עֲלֵיהֶ֣ם מְלָכִֽים׃	he allowed no one to oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account,	He allowed no one to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings:
15	אַֽל־ תִּגְּע֥וּ בִמְשִׁיחָ֑י וְ֝לִנְבִיאַי אַל־ תָּרֵֽעוּ׃	saying, “Touch not my anointed ones, do my prophets no harm!”	“Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.”
16	וַיִּקְרָ֣א רָ֭עָב עַל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ כָּֽל־ מַטֵּה־ לֶ֥חֶם שָׁבָֽר׃	When he summoned a famine on the land and broke all supply of bread,	He called down famine on the land and destroyed all their supplies of food;
17	שָׁלַ֣ח לִפְנֵיהֶ֣ם אִ֑ישׁ לְ֝עֶ֗בֶד נִמְכַּ֥ר יוֹסֵֽף׃	he had sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave.	and he sent a man before them— Joseph, sold as a slave.
18	עִנּ֣וּ בַכֶּ֣בֶל רגליו [רַגְל֑וֹ] (בַּ֝רְזֶ֗ל) בָּ֣אָה נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃	His feet were hurt with fetters; his neck was put in a collar of iron;	They bruised his feet with shackles, his neck was put in irons,
19	עַד־ עֵ֥ת בֹּֽא־ דְבָר֑וֹ אִמְרַ֖ת יְהוָ֣ה צְרָפָֽתְהוּ׃	until what he had said came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him.	till what he foretold came to pass, till the word of the LORD proved him true.
20	שָׁ֣לַח מֶ֭לֶךְ וַיַּתִּירֵ֑הוּ מֹשֵׁ֥ל עַ֝מִּ֗ים וַֽיְפַתְּחֵֽהוּ׃	The king sent and released him; the ruler of the peoples set him free;	The king sent and released him, the ruler of peoples set him free.
21	שָׂמ֣וֹ אָד֣וֹן לְבֵית֑וֹ וּ֝מֹשֵׁ֗ל בְּכָל־ קִנְיָנֽוֹ׃	he made him lord of his house and ruler of all his possessions,	He made him master of his household, ruler over all he possessed,
22	לֶאְסֹ֣ר שָׂרָ֣יו בְּנַפְשׁ֑וֹ וּזְקֵנָ֥יו יְחַכֵּֽם׃	to bind his princes at his pleasure and to teach his elders wisdom.	to instruct his princes as he pleased and teach his elders wisdom.
23	וַיָּבֹ֣א יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל מִצְרָ֑יִם וְ֝יַעֲקֹ֗ב גָּ֣ר בְּאֶֽרֶץ־ חָֽם׃	Then Israel came to Egypt; Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.	Then Israel entered Egypt; Jacob resided as a foreigner in the land of Ham.
24	וַיֶּ֣פֶר אֶת־ עַמּ֣וֹ מְאֹ֑ד וַ֝יַּֽעֲצִמֵהוּ מִצָּרָֽיו׃	And the LORD made his people very fruitful and made them stronger than their foes.	The LORD made his people very fruitful; he made them too numerous for their foes,
25	הָפַ֣ךְ לִ֭בָּם לִשְׂנֹ֣א עַמּ֑וֹ לְ֝הִתְנַכֵּ֗ל בַּעֲבָדָֽיו׃	He turned their hearts to hate his people, to deal craftily with his servants.	whose hearts he turned to hate his people, to conspire against his servants.
26	שָׁ֭לַח מֹשֶׁ֣ה עַבְדּ֑וֹ אַ֝הֲרֹ֗ן אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּֽחַר־ בּֽוֹ׃	He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.	He sent Moses his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27	שָֽׂמוּ־ בָ֭ם דִּבְרֵ֣י אֹתוֹתָ֑יו וּ֝מֹפְתִ֗ים בְּאֶ֣רֶץ חָֽם׃	They performed his signs among them and miracles in the land of Ham.	They performed his signs among them, his wonders in the land of Ham.
28	שָׁ֣לַֽח חֹ֭שֶׁךְ וַיַּחְשִׁ֑ךְ וְלֹֽא־ מָ֝ר֗וּ אֶת־ דברוו‪‬ [דְּבָרֽוֹ׃]	He sent darkness, and made the land dark; they did not rebel against his words.	He sent darkness and made the land dark— for had they not rebelled against his words?
29	(הָפַ֣ךְ) אֶת־ מֵימֵיהֶ֣ם לְדָ֑ם וַ֝יָּ֗מֶת אֶת־ דְּגָתָֽם׃	He turned their waters into blood and caused their fish to die.	He turned their waters into blood, causing their fish to die.
30	שָׁרַ֣ץ אַרְצָ֣ם צְפַרְדְּעִ֑ים בְּ֝חַדְרֵ֗י מַלְכֵיהֶֽם׃	Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the chambers of their kings.	Their land teemed with frogs, which went up into the bedrooms of their rulers.
31	אָ֭מַר וַיָּבֹ֣א עָרֹ֑ב כִּ֝נִּ֗ים בְּכָל־ גְּבוּלָֽם׃	He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout their country.	He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout their country.
32	נָתַ֣ן גִּשְׁמֵיהֶ֣ם בָּרָ֑ד אֵ֖שׁ לֶהָב֣וֹת בְּאַרְצָֽם׃	He gave them hail for rain, and fiery lightning bolts through their land.	He turned their rain into hail, with lightning throughout their land;
33	וַיַּ֣ךְ גַּ֭פְנָם וּתְאֵנָתָ֑ם וַ֝יְשַׁבֵּ֗ר עֵ֣ץ גְּבוּלָֽם׃	He struck down their vines and fig trees, and shattered the trees of their country.	he struck down their vines and fig trees and shattered the trees of their country.
34	אָ֭מַר וַיָּבֹ֣א אַרְבֶּ֑ה וְ֝יֶ֗לֶק וְאֵ֣ין מִסְפָּֽר׃	He spoke, and the locusts came, young locusts without number,	He spoke, and the locusts came, grasshoppers without number;
35	וַיֹּ֣אכַל כָּל־ עֵ֣שֶׂב בְּאַרְצָ֑ם וַ֝יֹּ֗אכַל פְּרִ֣י אַדְמָתָֽם׃	which devoured all the vegetation in their land and ate up the fruit of their ground.	they ate up every green thing in their land, ate up the produce of their soil.
36	וַיַּ֣ךְ כָּל־ בְּכ֣וֹר בְּאַרְצָ֑ם רֵ֝אשִׁ֗ית לְכָל־ אוֹנָֽם׃	He struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their strength.	Then he struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their manhood.
37	וַֽ֭יּוֹצִיאֵם בְּכֶ֣סֶף וְזָהָ֑ב וְאֵ֖ין בִּשְׁבָטָ֣יו כּוֹשֵֽׁל׃	Then he brought out Israel with silver and gold, and there was none among his tribes who stumbled.	He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold, and from among their tribes no one faltered.
38	שָׂמַ֣ח מִצְרַ֣יִם בְּצֵאתָ֑ם כִּֽי־ נָפַ֖ל פַּחְדָּ֣ם עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃	Egypt was glad when they departed, for dread of them had fallen upon it.	Egypt was glad when they left, because dread of Israel had fallen on them.
39	פָּרַ֣שׂ עָנָ֣ן לְמָסָ֑ךְ וְ֝אֵ֗שׁ לְהָאִ֥יר לָֽיְלָה׃	He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light by night.	He spread out a cloud as a covering, and a fire to give light at night.
40	שָׁאַ֣ל וַיָּבֵ֣א שְׂלָ֑ו וְלֶ֥חֶם שָׁ֝מַ֗יִם יַשְׂבִּיעֵֽם׃	They asked, and he brought quail, and gave them bread from heaven in abundance.	They asked, and he brought them quail; he fed them well with the bread of heaven.
41	פָּ֣תַח צ֭וּר וַיָּז֣וּבוּ מָ֑יִם הָ֝לְכ֗וּ בַּצִּיּ֥וֹת נָהָֽר׃	He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed through the desert like a river.	He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed like a river in the desert.
42	כִּֽי־ זָ֭כַר אֶת־ דְּבַ֣ר קָדְשׁ֑וֹ אֶֽת־ אַבְרָהָ֥ם עַבְדּֽוֹ׃	For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham, his servant.	For he remembered his holy promise given to his servant Abraham.
43	וַיּוֹצִ֣א עַמּ֣וֹ בְשָׂשׂ֑וֹן בְּ֝רִנָּ֗ה אֶת־ בְּחִירָֽיו׃	So he brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with singing.	He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy;
44	וַיִּתֵּ֣ן לָ֭הֶם אַרְצ֣וֹת גּוֹיִ֑ם וַעֲמַ֖ל לְאֻמִּ֣ים יִירָֽשׁוּ׃	And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples’ toil,	he gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for—
45	בַּעֲב֤וּר ׀ יִשְׁמְר֣וּ חֻ֭קָּיו וְתוֹרֹתָ֥יו יִנְצֹ֗רוּ הַֽלְלוּ־ יָֽהּ׃	that they might keep his statutes and observe his laws. Praise the LORD!	that they might keep his precepts and observe his laws. Praise the LORD.
