1	בָּרֲכִ֥י נַפְשִׁ֗י אֶת־ יְה֫וָ֥ה יְהוָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהַי גָּדַ֣לְתָּ מְּאֹ֑ד ה֭וֹד וְהָדָ֣ר לָבָֽשְׁתָּ׃	Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty,	Praise the LORD, my soul. LORD my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty.
2	עֹֽטֶה־ א֭וֹר כַּשַּׂלְמָ֑ה נוֹטֶ֥ה שָׁ֝מַ֗יִם כַּיְרִיעָֽה׃	covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent.	The LORD wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent
3	הַ֥מְקָרֶֽה בַמַּ֗יִם עֲ‍ֽלִיּ֫וֹתָ֥יו הַשָּׂם־ עָבִ֥ים רְכוּב֑וֹ הַֽ֝מְהַלֵּ֗ךְ עַל־ כַּנְפֵי־ רֽוּחַ׃	He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind;	and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters. He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind.
4	עֹשֶׂ֣ה מַלְאָכָ֣יו רוּח֑וֹת מְ֝שָׁרְתָ֗יו אֵ֣שׁ לֹהֵֽט׃	he makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire.	He makes winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants.
5	יָֽסַד־ אֶ֭רֶץ עַל־ מְכוֹנֶ֑יהָ בַּל־ תִּ֝מּ֗וֹט עוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃	He set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved.	He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved.
6	תְּ֭הוֹם כַּלְּב֣וּשׁ כִּסִּית֑וֹ עַל־ הָ֝רִ֗ים יַֽעַמְדוּ־ מָֽיִם׃	You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.	You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.
7	מִן־ גַּעֲרָ֣תְךָ֣ יְנוּס֑וּן מִן־ ק֥וֹל רַֽ֝עַמְךָ֗ יֵחָפֵזֽוּן׃	At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder they took to flight.	But at your rebuke the waters fled, at the sound of your thunder they took to flight;
8	יַעֲל֣וּ הָ֭רִים יֵרְד֣וּ בְקָע֑וֹת אֶל־ מְ֝ק֗וֹם זֶ֤ה ׀ יָסַ֬דְתָּ לָהֶֽם׃	The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place that you appointed for them.	they flowed over the mountains, they went down into the valleys, to the place you assigned for them.
9	גְּֽבוּל־ שַׂ֭מְתָּ בַּל־ יַֽעֲבֹר֑וּן בַּל־ יְ֝שׁוּב֗וּן לְכַסּ֥וֹת הָאָֽרֶץ׃	You set a boundary that they may not pass, so that they might not again cover the earth.	You set a boundary they cannot cross; never again will they cover the earth.
10	הַֽמְשַׁלֵּ֣חַ מַ֭עְיָנִים בַּנְּחָלִ֑ים בֵּ֥ין הָ֝רִ֗ים יְהַלֵּכֽוּן׃	You make springs gush forth in the valleys; they flow between the hills;	He makes springs pour water into the ravines; it flows between the mountains.
11	יַ֭שְׁקוּ כָּל־ חַיְת֣וֹ שָׂדָ֑י יִשְׁבְּר֖וּ פְרָאִ֣ים צְמָאָֽם׃	they give drink to every beast of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thirst.	They give water to all the beasts of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12	עֲ֭לֵיהֶם עוֹף־ הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם יִשְׁכּ֑וֹן מִבֵּ֥ין עֳ֝פָאיִ֗ם יִתְּנוּ־ קֽוֹל׃	Beside them the birds of the heavens dwell; they sing among the branches.	The birds of the sky nest by the waters; they sing among the branches.
13	מַשְׁקֶ֣ה הָ֭רִים מֵעֲלִיּוֹתָ֑יו מִפְּרִ֥י מַ֝עֲשֶׂ֗יךָ תִּשְׂבַּ֥ע הָאָֽרֶץ׃	From your lofty abode you water the mountains; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your work.	He waters the mountains from his upper chambers; the land is satisfied by the fruit of his work.
14	מַצְמִ֤יחַ חָצִ֨יר ׀ לַבְּהֵמָ֗ה וְ֭עֵשֶׂב לַעֲבֹדַ֣ת הָאָדָ֑ם לְה֥וֹצִיא לֶ֝֗חֶם מִן־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃	You cause the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food from the earth	He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth:
15	וְיַ֤יִן ׀ יְשַׂמַּ֬ח לְֽבַב־ אֱנ֗וֹשׁ לְהַצְהִ֣יל פָּנִ֣ים מִשָּׁ֑מֶן וְ֝לֶ֗חֶם לְֽבַב־ אֱנ֥וֹשׁ יִסְעָֽד׃	and wine to gladden the heart of man, oil to make his face shine and bread to strengthen man’s heart.	wine that gladdens human hearts, oil to make their faces shine, and bread that sustains their hearts.
16	יִ֭שְׂבְּעוּ עֲצֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה אַֽרְזֵ֥י לְ֝בָנ֗וֹן אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָטָֽע׃	The trees of the LORD are watered abundantly, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.	The trees of the LORD are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.
17	אֲשֶׁר־ שָׁ֭ם צִפֳּרִ֣ים יְקַנֵּ֑נוּ חֲ֝סִידָ֗ה בְּרוֹשִׁ֥ים בֵּיתָֽהּ׃	In them the birds build their nests; the stork has her home in the fir trees.	There the birds make their nests; the stork has its home in the junipers.
18	הָרִ֣ים הַ֭גְּבֹהִים לַיְּעֵלִ֑ים סְ֝לָעִ֗ים מַחְסֶ֥ה לַֽשְׁפַנִּֽים׃	The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.	The high mountains belong to the wild goats; the crags are a refuge for the hyrax.
19	עָשָׂ֣ה יָ֭רֵחַ לְמוֹעֲדִ֑ים שֶׁ֝֗מֶשׁ יָדַ֥ע מְבוֹאֽוֹ׃	He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting.	He made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down.
20	תָּֽשֶׁת־ חֹ֭שֶׁךְ וִ֣יהִי לָ֑יְלָה בּֽוֹ־ תִ֝רְמֹ֗שׂ כָּל־ חַיְתוֹ־ יָֽעַר׃	You make darkness, and it is night, when all the beasts of the forest creep about.	You bring darkness, it becomes night, and all the beasts of the forest prowl.
21	הַ֭כְּפִירִים שֹׁאֲגִ֣ים לַטָּ֑רֶף וּלְבַקֵּ֖שׁ מֵאֵ֣ל אָכְלָֽם׃	The young lions roar for their prey, seeking their food from God.	The lions roar for their prey and seek their food from God.
22	תִּזְרַ֣ח הַ֭שֶּׁמֶשׁ יֵאָסֵפ֑וּן וְאֶל־ מְ֝עוֹנֹתָ֗ם יִרְבָּצֽוּן׃	When the sun rises, they steal away and lie down in their dens.	The sun rises, and they steal away; they return and lie down in their dens.
23	יֵצֵ֣א אָדָ֣ם לְפָעֳל֑וֹ וְֽלַעֲבֹ֖דָת֣וֹ עֲדֵי־ עָֽרֶב׃	Man goes out to his work and to his labor until the evening.	Then people go out to their work, to their labor until evening.
24	מָֽה־ רַבּ֬וּ מַעֲשֶׂ֨יךָ ׀ יְֽהוָ֗ה כֻּ֭לָּם בְּחָכְמָ֣ה עָשִׂ֑יתָ מָלְאָ֥ה הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ קִנְיָנֶֽךָ׃	O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.	How many are your works, LORD! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.
25	זֶ֤ה ׀ הַיָּ֥ם גָּדוֹל֮ וּרְחַ֪ב יָ֫דָ֥יִם שָֽׁם־ רֶ֭מֶשׂ וְאֵ֣ין מִסְפָּ֑ר חַיּ֥וֹת קְ֝טַנּ֗וֹת עִם־ גְּדֹלֽוֹת׃	Here is the sea, great and wide, which teems with creatures innumerable, living things both small and great.	There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number— living things both large and small.
26	שָׁ֭ם אֳנִיּ֣וֹת יְהַלֵּכ֑וּן לִ֝וְיָתָ֗ן זֶֽה־ יָצַ֥רְתָּ לְשַֽׂחֶק־ בּֽוֹ׃	There go the ships, and Leviathan, which you formed to play in it.	There the ships go to and fro, and Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.
27	כֻּ֭לָּם אֵלֶ֣יךָ יְשַׂבֵּר֑וּן לָתֵ֖ת אָכְלָ֣ם בְּעִתּֽוֹ׃	These all look to you, to give them their food in due season.	All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time.
28	תִּתֵּ֣ן לָ֭הֶם יִלְקֹט֑וּן תִּפְתַּ֥ח יָֽ֝דְךָ֗ יִשְׂבְּע֥וּן טֽוֹב׃	When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are filled with good things.	When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things.
29	תַּסְתִּ֥יר פָּנֶיךָ֮ יִֽבָּהֵ֫ל֥וּן תֹּסֵ֣ף ר֭וּחָם יִגְוָע֑וּן וְֽאֶל־ עֲפָרָ֥ם יְשׁוּבֽוּן׃	When you hide your face, they are dismayed; when you take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.	When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust.
30	תְּשַׁלַּ֣ח ר֭וּחֲךָ יִבָּרֵא֑וּן וּ֝תְחַדֵּ֗שׁ פְּנֵ֣י אֲדָמָֽה׃	When you send forth your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.	When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.
31	יְהִ֤י כְב֣וֹד יְהוָ֣ה לְעוֹלָ֑ם יִשְׂמַ֖ח יְהוָ֣ה בְּמַעֲשָֽׂיו׃	May the glory of the LORD endure forever; may the LORD rejoice in his works,	May the glory of the LORD endure forever; may the LORD rejoice in his works—
32	הַמַּבִּ֣יט לָ֭אָרֶץ וַתִּרְעָ֑ד יִגַּ֖ע בֶּהָרִ֣ים וְֽיֶעֱשָֽׁנוּ׃	who looks on the earth and it trembles, who touches the mountains and they smoke!	he who looks at the earth, and it trembles, who touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33	אָשִׁ֣ירָה לַיהוָ֣ה בְּחַיָּ֑י אֲזַמְּרָ֖ה לֵאלֹהַ֣י בְּעוֹדִֽי׃	I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being.	I will sing to the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
34	יֶעֱרַ֣ב עָלָ֣יו שִׂיחִ֑י אָ֝נֹכִ֗י אֶשְׂמַ֥ח בַּיהוָֽה׃	May my meditation be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the LORD.	May my meditation be pleasing to him, as I rejoice in the LORD.
35	יִתַּ֤מּוּ חַטָּאִ֨ים ׀ מִן־ הָאָ֡רֶץ וּרְשָׁעִ֤ים ׀ ע֤וֹד אֵינָ֗ם בָּרֲכִ֣י נַ֭פְשִׁי אֶת־ יְהוָ֗ה הַֽלְלוּ־ יָֽהּ׃	Let sinners be consumed from the earth, and let the wicked be no more! Bless the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD!	But may sinners vanish from the earth and the wicked be no more. Praise the LORD, my soul. Praise the LORD.
