1	“You shall not spread a false report. Do not join the wicked by being a malicious witness.	“You shall not spread a false report. 2	You shall not follow the crowd in wrongdoing. When you testify in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd.	You shall not fall in with the many to do evil, nor shall you bear witness in a lawsuit, siding with the many, so as to pervert justice,	Thou shalt not follow a multitude to <i>do</i> evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest <i>judgment</i>:	You shall not follow the crowd in doing evil, nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to join together with a crowd in order to pervert <i>justice;</i>	“Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd,
3	And do not show favoritism to a poor man in his lawsuit.	nor shall you be partial to a poor man in his lawsuit.	Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.	nor shall you show favor to a poor person in his dispute.	and do not show favoritism to a poor person in a lawsuit.
4	If you encounter your enemy’s stray ox or donkey, you must return it to him.	“If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall bring it back to him.	If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.	“If you encounter your enemy’s ox or his donkey wandering away, you must return it to him.	“If you come across your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it.
5	If you see the donkey of one who hates you fallen under its load, do not leave it there; you must help him with it.	If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying down under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving him with it; you shall rescue it with him.	If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.	If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying <i>helpless</i> under its load, you shall not leave it <i>helpless</i> for its owner; you must arrange <i>the load</i> with him.	If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help them with it.
6	You shall not deny justice to the poor in their lawsuits.	“You shall not pervert the justice due to your poor in his lawsuit.	Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.	“You shall not pervert the justice <i>due</i> to your needy <i>brother</i> in his dispute.	“Do not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits.
7	Stay far away from a false accusation. Do not kill the innocent or the just, for I will not acquit the guilty.	Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked.	Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.	Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent or the righteous, for I will not acquit the guilty.	Have nothing to do with a false charge and do not put an innocent or honest person to death, for I will not acquit the guilty.
8	Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the righteous.	And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of those who are in the right.	And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.	“You shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of the just.	“Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.
9	Do not oppress a foreign resident, since you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners; for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.	“You shall not oppress a sojourner. You know the heart of a sojourner, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.	Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.	“You shall not oppress a stranger, since you yourselves know the feelings of a stranger, for you <i>also</i> were strangers in the land of Egypt.	“Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.
10	For six years you are to sow your land and gather its produce,	“For six years you shall sow your land and gather in its yield,	And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:	“Now you shall sow your land for six years and gather in its yield,	“For six years you are to sow your fields and harvest the crops,
11	but in the seventh year you must let it rest and lie fallow, so that the poor among your people may eat from the field and the wild animals may consume what they leave. Do the same with your vineyard and olive grove.	but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave the beasts of the field may eat. You shall do likewise with your vineyard, and with your olive orchard.	But the seventh <i>year</i> thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, <i>and</i> with thy oliveyard.	but <i>in</i> the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie uncultivated, so that the needy of your people may eat; and whatever they leave the animal of the field may eat. You are to do the same with your vineyard <i>and</i> your olive grove.	but during the seventh year let the land lie unplowed and unused. Then the poor among your people may get food from it, and the wild animals may eat what is left. Do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.
12	For six days you are to do your work, but on the seventh day you must cease, so that your ox and your donkey may rest and the son of your maidservant may be refreshed, as well as the foreign resident.	“Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant woman, and the alien, may be refreshed.	Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.	“For six days you are to do your work, but on the seventh day you shall cease <i>from labor</i> so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your female slave, as well as the stranger <i>residing with you, may</i> refresh themselves.	“Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and so that the slave born in your household and the foreigner living among you may be refreshed.
13	Pay close attention to everything I have said to you. You must not invoke the names of other gods; they must not be heard on your lips.	“Pay attention to all that I have said to you, and make no mention of the names of other gods, nor let it be heard on your lips.	And in all <i>things</i> that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.	Now concerning everything which I have said to you, be careful; and do not mention the name of other gods, nor let <i>them</i> be heard from your mouth.	“Be careful to do everything I have said to you. Do not invoke the names of other gods; do not let them be heard on your lips.
14	Three times a year you are to celebrate a feast to Me.	“Three times in the year you shall keep a feast to me.	Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.	“Three times a year you shall celebrate a feast to Me.	“Three times a year you are to celebrate a festival to me.
15	You are to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread as I commanded you: At the appointed time in the month of Abib you are to eat unleavened bread for seven days, because that was the month you came out of Egypt. No one may appear before Me empty-handed.	You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. As I commanded you, you shall eat unleavened bread for seven days at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. None shall appear before me empty-handed.	Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)	You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread; for seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in that month you came out of Egypt. And no one is to appear before Me empty-handed.	“Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread; for seven days eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you. Do this at the appointed time in the month of Aviv, for in that month you came out of Egypt. “No one is to appear before me empty-handed.
16	You are also to keep the Feast of Harvest with the firstfruits of the produce from what you sow in the field. And keep the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather your produce from the field.	You shall keep the Feast of Harvest, of the firstfruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field. You shall keep the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in from the field the fruit of your labor.	And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, <i>which is</i> in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.	Also <i>you shall keep</i> the Feast of the Harvest <i>of</i> the first fruits of your labors <i>from</i> what you sow in the field; also the Feast of the Ingathering at the end of the year when you gather in <i>the fruit of</i> your labors from the field.	“Celebrate the Festival of Harvest with the firstfruits of the crops you sow in your field. “Celebrate the Festival of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in your crops from the field.
17	Three times a year all your males are to appear before the Lord GOD.	Three times in the year shall all your males appear before the Lord GOD.	Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.	Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord GOD.	“Three times a year all the men are to appear before the Sovereign LORD.
18	You must not offer the blood of My sacrifices with anything leavened, nor may the fat of My feast remain until morning.	“You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with anything leavened, or let the fat of my feast remain until the morning.	Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.	“You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leavened bread; nor is the fat of My feast to remain overnight until morning.	“Do not offer the blood of a sacrifice to me along with anything containing yeast. “The fat of my festival offerings must not be kept until morning.
19	Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God. You must not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.	“The best of the firstfruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.	The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.	“You shall bring the choice first fruits of your soil into the house of the LORD your God. “You are not to boil a young goat in the milk of its mother.	“Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God. “Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.
20	Behold, I am sending an angel before you to protect you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.	“Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.	Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.	“Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.	“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.
21	Pay attention to him and listen to his voice; do not defy him, for he will not forgive rebellion, since My Name is in him.	Pay careful attention to him and obey his voice; do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgression, for my name is in him.	Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name <i>is</i> in him.	Be attentive to him and obey his voice; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your rebellion, since My name is in him.	Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him.
22	But if you will listen carefully to his voice and do everything I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and a foe to your foes.	“But if you carefully obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.	But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.	But if you truly obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.	If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.
23	For My angel will go before you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites, and I will annihilate them.	“When my angel goes before you and brings you to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, and I blot them out,	For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, <i>and</i> the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.	For My angel will go before you and bring you into <i>the land of</i> the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I will completely destroy them.	My angel will go ahead of you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites, and I will wipe them out.
24	You must not bow down to their gods or serve them or follow their practices. Instead, you are to demolish them and smash their sacred stones to pieces.	you shall not bow down to their gods nor serve them, nor do as they do, but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their pillars in pieces.	Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.	You shall not worship their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their deeds; but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their memorial stones in pieces.	Do not bow down before their gods or worship them or follow their practices. You must demolish them and break their sacred stones to pieces.
25	So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take away sickness from among you.	You shall serve the LORD your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.	And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.	And you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst.	Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,
26	No woman in your land will miscarry or be barren; I will fulfill the number of your days.	None shall miscarry or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.	There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.	There will be no one miscarrying or unable to have children in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.	and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.
27	I will send My terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn and run.	I will send my terror before you and will throw into confusion all the people against whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.	I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.	I will send My terror ahead of you, and throw into confusion all the people among whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn <i>their</i> backs to you.	“I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.
28	I will send the hornet before you to drive the Hivites and Canaanites and Hittites out of your way.	And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from before you.	And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.	And I will send hornets ahead of you so that they will drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from you.	I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way.
29	I will not drive them out before you in a single year; otherwise the land would become desolate and wild animals would multiply against you.	I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you.	I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.	I will not drive them out from you in a single year, so that the land will not become desolate and the animals of the field become too numerous for you.	But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you.
30	Little by little I will drive them out ahead of you, until you become fruitful and possess the land.	Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and possess the land.	By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.	I will drive them out from you little by little, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land.	Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.
31	And I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the Euphrates. For I will deliver the inhabitants into your hand, and you will drive them out before you.	And I will set your border from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates, for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.	And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.	I will set your boundary from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the <i>Euphrates</i> River; for I will hand over the inhabitants of the land to you, and you will drive them out from you.	“I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the desert to the Euphrates River. 33	They must not remain in your land, lest they cause you to sin against Me. For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”	They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me; for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”	They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.	They shall not live in your land, otherwise they will make you sin against Me; for <i>if</i> you serve their gods, it is certain to be a snare to you.”	Do not let them live in your land or they will cause you to sin against me, because the worship of their gods will certainly be a snare to you.”
