Isaac Blesses Jacob
(Hebrews 11:20)

1 וַיְהִי֙ (And it came to pass), כִּֽי־ (when) זָקֵ֣ן (was old) יִצְחָ֔ק (Isaac) וַתִּכְהֶ֥יןָ (and were dim) עֵינָ֖יו (his eyes) מֵרְאֹ֑ת (for seeing), וַיִּקְרָ֞א (that he called) אֶת־ (-) עֵשָׂ֣ו׀ (Esau), בְּנ֣וֹ (his son) הַגָּדֹ֗ל (older), וַיֹּ֤אמֶר (and said) אֵלָיו֙ (to him), בְּנִ֔י (My son), וַיֹּ֥אמֶר (and he answered) אֵלָ֖יו (to him) הִנֵּֽנִי׃ (Behold).

2 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר (And he said), הִנֵּה־ (Behold) נָ֖א (please), זָקַ֑נְתִּי (I have grown old), לֹ֥א (not) יָדַ֖עְתִּי (I know) י֥וֹם (the day) מוֹתִֽי׃ (of my death).

3 וְעַתָּה֙ (And now) שָׂא־ (take), נָ֣א (please), כֵלֶ֔יךָ (your weapons)— תֶּלְיְךָ֖ (your quiver) וְקַשְׁתֶּ֑ךָ (and your bow)— וְצֵא֙ (and go out) הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה (to the field), וְצ֥וּדָה (and hunt for) לִּ֖י (me) צֵידָה׃ (game).

4 וַעֲשֵׂה־ (And make) לִ֨י (for me) מַטְעַמִּ֜ים (savory foods), כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר (as) אָהַ֛בְתִּי (I have loved), וְהָבִ֥יאָה (and bring them) לִּ֖י (to me) וְאֹכֵ֑לָה (that I may eat), בַּעֲב֛וּר (that) תְּבָרֶכְךָ֥ (may bless you) נַפְשִׁ֖י (my soul) בְּטֶ֥רֶם (before) אָמֽוּת׃ (I die).

5 וְרִבְקָ֣ה (And Rebekah) שֹׁמַ֔עַת (was listening) בְּדַבֵּ֣ר (when spoke) יִצְחָ֔ק (Isaac) אֶל־ (to) עֵשָׂ֖ו (Esau) בְּנ֑וֹ (his son). וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ (And went) עֵשָׂו֙ (Esau) הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה (to the field) לָצ֥וּד (to hunt) צַ֖יִד (game) לְהָבִֽיא׃ (and to bring it).

6 וְרִבְקָה֙ (And Rebekah) אָֽמְרָ֔ה (spoke) אֶל־ (to) יַעֲקֹ֥ב (Jacob) בְּנָ֖הּ (her son), לֵאמֹ֑ר (saying), הִנֵּ֤ה (Behold), שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ (I have heard) אֶת־ (-) אָבִ֔יךָ (your father) מְדַבֵּ֛ר (speaking) אֶל־ (to) עֵשָׂ֥ו (Esau) אָחִ֖יךָ (your brother), לֵאמֹֽר׃ (saying),

7 הָבִ֨יאָה (Bring) לִּ֥י (me) צַ֛יִד (game), וַעֲשֵׂה־ (and make) לִ֥י (for me) מַטְעַמִּ֖ים (savory foods), וְאֹכֵ֑לָה (and I will eat) וַאֲבָרֶכְכָ֛ה (and bless you) לִפְנֵ֥י (before) יְהוָ֖ה (YHWH) לִפְנֵ֥י (before) מוֹתִֽי׃ (my death).

8 וְעַתָּ֥ה (And now) בְנִ֖י (my son), שְׁמַ֣ע (listen) בְּקֹלִ֑י (to my voice), לַאֲשֶׁ֥ר (according to what) אֲנִ֖י (I) מְצַוָּ֥ה (am commanding) אֹתָֽךְ׃ (you).

9 לֶךְ־ (Go) נָא֙ (now) אֶל־ (to) הַצֹּ֔אן (the flock) וְקַֽח־ (and take) לִ֣י (for me) מִשָּׁ֗ם (from there) שְׁנֵ֛י (two) גְּדָיֵ֥י (kids) עִזִּ֖ים (of the goats) טֹבִ֑ים (good); וְאֶֽעֱשֶׂ֨ה (and I will make) אֹתָ֧ם (them) מַטְעַמִּ֛ים (savory foods) לְאָבִ֖יךָ (for your father), כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר (as) אָהֵֽב׃ (he loves).

10 וְהֵבֵאתָ֥ (And you shall bring it) לְאָבִ֖יךָ (to your father) וְאָכָ֑ל (that he may eat it), בַּעֲבֻ֛ר (so that) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (-) יְבָרֶכְךָ֖ (he may bless you) לִפְנֵ֥י (before) מוֹתֽוֹ׃ (his death).

11 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (And said) יַעֲקֹ֔ב (Jacob) אֶל־ (to) רִבְקָ֖ה (Rebekah) אִמּ֑וֹ (his mother), הֵ֣ן (Behold), עֵשָׂ֤ו (Esau) אָחִי֙ (my brother is) אִ֣ישׁ (a man) שָׂעִ֔ר (hairy), וְאָנֹכִ֖י (and I am) אִ֥ישׁ (a man) חָלָֽק׃ (smooth).

12 אוּלַ֤י (Perhaps) יְמֻשֵּׁ֙נִי֙ (will feel me) אָבִ֔י (my father)? וְהָיִ֥יתִי (And I will be) בְעֵינָ֖יו (in his eyes) כִּמְתַעְתֵּ֑עַ (as a deceiver), וְהֵבֵאתִ֥י (and I shall bring) עָלַ֛י (on myself) קְלָלָ֖ה (a curse) וְלֹ֥א (and not) בְרָכָֽה׃ (a blessing).

13 וַתֹּ֤אמֶר (And said) לוֹ֙ (to him) אִמּ֔וֹ (his mother), עָלַ֥י (On me) קִלְלָתְךָ֖ (be your curse), בְּנִ֑י (my son). אַ֛ךְ (Only) שְׁמַ֥ע (listen) בְּקֹלִ֖י (to my voice) וְלֵ֥ךְ (and go) קַֽח־ (get them) לִֽי׃ (for me).

14 וַיֵּ֙לֶךְ֙ (And he went) וַיִּקַּ֔ח (and he got them) וַיָּבֵ֖א (and he brought them) לְאִמּ֑וֹ (to his mother), וַתַּ֤עַשׂ (and made) אִמּוֹ֙ (his mother) מַטְעַמִּ֔ים (savory foods), כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר (as) אָהֵ֥ב (loved) אָבִֽיו׃ (his father).

15 וַתִּקַּ֣ח (And took) רִ֠בְקָה (Rebekah) אֶת־ (-) בִּגְדֵ֨י (the clothes) עֵשָׂ֜ו (of Esau), בְּנָ֤הּ (her son) הַגָּדֹל֙ (elder), הַחֲמֻדֹ֔ת (the finest) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that were) אִתָּ֖הּ (with her) בַּבָּ֑יִת (in the house), וַתַּלְבֵּ֥שׁ (and she clothed) אֶֽת־ (-) יַעֲקֹ֖ב (Jacob) בְּנָ֥הּ (her son) הַקָּטָֽן׃ (younger).

16 וְאֵ֗ת (And) עֹרֹת֙ (the skins) גְּדָיֵ֣י (of the kids) הָֽעִזִּ֔ים (of the goats) הִלְבִּ֖ישָׁה (she put) עַל־ (on) יָדָ֑יו (his hands) וְעַ֖ל (and on) חֶלְקַ֥ת (the smooth part) צַוָּארָֽיו׃ (of his neck).

17 וַתִּתֵּ֧ן (And she gave) אֶת־ (-) הַמַּטְעַמִּ֛ים (the savory foods) וְאֶת־ (and) הַלֶּ֖חֶם (the bread), אֲשֶׁ֣ר (that) עָשָׂ֑תָה (she had made), בְּיַ֖ד (into the hand) יַעֲקֹ֥ב (of Jacob) בְּנָֽהּ׃ (her son).

18 וַיָּבֹ֥א (And he went) אֶל־ (to) אָבִ֖יו (his father) וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (and said), אָבִ֑י (My father). וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (And he said), הִנֶּ֔נִּי (Behold, it is I). מִ֥י (Who are) אַתָּ֖ה (you), בְּנִֽי׃ (my son)?

19 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר (And said) יַעֲקֹ֜ב (Jacob) אֶל־ (to) אָבִ֗יו (his father), אָנֹכִי֙ (I am) עֵשָׂ֣ו (Esau), בְּכֹרֶ֔ךָ (your firstborn). עָשִׂ֕יתִי (I have done) כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר (as) דִּבַּ֖רְתָּ (you told) אֵלָ֑י (to me) קֽוּם־ (arise), נָ֣א (please), שְׁבָ֗ה (sit) וְאָכְלָה֙ (and eat) מִצֵּידִ֔י (of my game), בַּעֲב֖וּר (that) תְּבָרֲכַ֥נִּי (may bless me) נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ (your soul).

20 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר (And said) יִצְחָק֙ (Isaac) אֶל־ (to) בְּנ֔וֹ (his son), מַה־ (What is) זֶּ֛ה (this) מִהַ֥רְתָּ (you have so quickly) לִמְצֹ֖א (found it), בְּנִ֑י (my son)? וַיֹּ֕אמֶר (And he said), כִּ֥י (Because) הִקְרָ֛ה (caused it to happen) יְהוָ֥ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ (your God) לְפָנָֽי׃ (before me).

21 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר (And said) יִצְחָק֙ (Isaac) אֶֽל־ (to) יַעֲקֹ֔ב (Jacob), גְּשָׁה־ (Come near), נָּ֥א (please), וַאֲמֻֽשְׁךָ֖ (and I will feel you) בְּנִ֑י (my son). הַֽאַתָּ֥ה (Are you) זֶ֛ה (he) בְּנִ֥י (my son) עֵשָׂ֖ו (Esau), אִם־ (or) לֹֽא׃ (not).

22 וַיִּגַּ֧שׁ (And went near) יַעֲקֹ֛ב (Jacob) אֶל־ (to) יִצְחָ֥ק (Isaac) אָבִ֖יו (his father), וַיְמֻשֵּׁ֑הוּ (and he felt him) וַיֹּ֗אמֶר (and said), הַקֹּל֙ (The voice) ק֣וֹל (is the voice) יַעֲקֹ֔ב (of Jacob), וְהַיָּדַ֖יִם (and the hands) יְדֵ֥י (are the hands) עֵשָֽׂו׃ (of Esau).

23 וְלֹ֣א (And not) הִכִּיר֔וֹ (he did recognize him), כִּֽי־ (because) הָי֣וּ (were) יָדָ֗יו (his hands) כִּידֵ֛י (like the hands) עֵשָׂ֥ו (of Esau) אָחִ֖יו (his brother), שְׂעִרֹ֑ת (hairy); וַֽיְבָרְכֵֽהוּ׃ (and he blessed him,).

24 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר (And he said), אַתָּ֥ה (You) זֶ֖ה (are he) בְּנִ֣י (my son) עֵשָׂ֑ו (Esau)? וַיֹּ֖אמֶר (And he said), אָֽנִי׃ (I am).

25 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר (And He said), הַגִּ֤שָׁה (Bring it near) לִּי֙ (to me) וְאֹֽכְלָה֙ (and I will eat) מִצֵּ֣יד (of the game) בְּנִ֔י (my son), לְמַ֥עַן (so that) תְּבָֽרֶכְךָ֖ (may bless you) נַפְשִׁ֑י (my soul). וַיַּגֶּשׁ־ (And he brought it near) לוֹ֙ (to him) וַיֹּאכַ֔ל (and he ate); וַיָּ֧בֵא (and he brought) ל֦וֹ (to him) יַ֖יִן (wine), וַיֵּֽשְׁתְּ׃ (and he drank).

26 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר (And said) אֵלָ֖יו (to him) יִצְחָ֣ק (Isaac) אָבִ֑יו (his father), גְּשָׁה־ (Come near) נָּ֥א (please) וּשְׁקָה־ (and kiss) לִּ֖י (me) בְּנִֽי׃ (my son).

27 וַיִּגַּשׁ֙ (And he came near) וַיִּשַּׁק־ (and kissed) ל֔וֹ (him), וַיָּ֛רַח (and he smelled) אֶת־ (-) רֵ֥יחַ (the smell) בְּגָדָ֖יו (of his clothing), וַֽיְבָרֲכֵ֑הוּ (and he blessed him) וַיֹּ֗אמֶר (and said), רְאֵה֙ (See), רֵ֣יחַ (the smell) בְּנִ֔י (of my son) כְּרֵ֣יחַ (is like the smell) שָׂדֶ֔ה (of a field) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that) בֵּרֲכ֖וֹ (has blessed) יְהוָֽה׃ (YHWH).

28 וְיִֽתֶּן־ (And may give) לְךָ֙ (to you) הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים (God) מִטַּל֙ (from the dew) הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם (of the heavens), וּמִשְׁמַנֵּ֖י (and from the fatness) הָאָ֑רֶץ (of the earth), וְרֹ֥ב (and abundance) דָּגָ֖ן (of grain) וְתִירֹֽשׁ׃ (and new wine).

29 יַֽעַבְד֣וּךָ (Let serve you) עַמִּ֗ים (peoples) וְיִשְׁתַּחוּ (and let bow down) לְךָ֙ (to you) לְאֻמִּ֔ים (nations). הֱוֵ֤ה (Be) גְבִיר֙ (master) לְאַחֶ֔יךָ (over your brothers), וְיִשְׁתַּחֲוּ֥וּ (and let bow down) לְךָ֖ (to you) בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) אִמֶּ֑ךָ (of your mother). אֹרְרֶ֣יךָ (Those who curse you) אָר֔וּר (be cursed) וּֽמְבָרֲכֶ֖יךָ (and those who bless you) בָּרֽוּךְ׃ (be blessed).

Esau’s Lost Hope

30 וַיְהִ֗י (And it came to pass), כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר (as) כִּלָּ֣ה (finished) יִצְחָק֮ (Isaac) לְבָרֵ֣ךְ (blessing) אֶֽת־ (-) יַעֲקֹב֒ (Jacob), וַיְהִ֗י (then it came to pass) אַ֣ךְ (only just) יָצֹ֤א (going out) יָצָא֙ (had gone out) יַעֲקֹ֔ב (Jacob) מֵאֵ֥ת (from) פְּנֵ֖י (the presence) יִצְחָ֣ק (of Isaac) אָבִ֑יו (his father), וְעֵשָׂ֣ו (that Esau) אָחִ֔יו (his brother) בָּ֖א (came in) מִצֵּידֽוֹ׃ (from his hunting).

31 וַיַּ֤עַשׂ (And made) גַּם־ (also) הוּא֙ (he) מַטְעַמִּ֔ים (savory foods), וַיָּבֵ֖א (and he brought them) לְאָבִ֑יו (to his father), וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (and said) לְאָבִ֗יו (to his father), יָקֻ֤ם (Arise), אָבִי֙ (my father), וְיֹאכַל֙ (and eat) מִצֵּ֣יד (of the game) בְּנ֔וֹ (of his son), בַּעֲב֖וּר (that) תְּבָרֲכַ֥נִּי (may bless me) נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ (your soul).

32 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר (And said) ל֛וֹ (to him) יִצְחָ֥ק (Isaac) אָבִ֖יו (his father), מִי־ (Who are) אָ֑תָּה (you)? וַיֹּ֕אמֶר (And he said), אֲנִ֛י (I am) בִּנְךָ֥ (your son), בְכֹֽרְךָ֖ (your firstborn), עֵשָֽׂו׃ (Esau).

33 וַיֶּחֱרַ֨ד (And trembled) יִצְחָ֣ק (Isaac) חֲרָדָה֮ (trembling) גְּדֹלָ֣ה (great), עַד־ (with an) מְאֹד֒ (exceedingly), וַיֹּ֡אמֶר (and said), מִֽי־ (Who) אֵפ֡וֹא (then) ה֣וּא (is) הַצָּֽד־ (the one who hunted) צַיִד֩ (game) וַיָּ֨בֵא (and brought it) לִ֜י (to me), וָאֹכַ֥ל (and I ate) מִכֹּ֛ל (of it all) בְּטֶ֥רֶם (before) תָּב֖וֹא (you came), וָאֲבָרֲכֵ֑הוּ (and I have blessed him)? גַּם־ (And indeed), בָּר֖וּךְ (blessed) יִהְיֶֽה׃ (he shall be).

34 כִּשְׁמֹ֤עַ (And heard) עֵשָׂו֙ (Esau) אֶת־ (-) דִּבְרֵ֣י (the words) אָבִ֔יו (of his father), וַיִּצְעַ֣ק (and he cried) צְעָקָ֔ה (a cry) גְּדֹלָ֥ה (great) וּמָרָ֖ה (and bitter) עַד־ (out) מְאֹ֑ד (an exceedingly), וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (and he said) לְאָבִ֔יו (to his father), בָּרֲכֵ֥נִי (Bless) גַם־ (also) אָ֖נִי (me), אָבִֽי׃ (my father)!

35 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר (And he said), בָּ֥א (Came) אָחִ֖יךָ (Your brother) בְּמִרְמָ֑ה (with deceit) וַיִּקַּ֖ח (and took) בִּרְכָתֶֽךָ׃ (your blessing).

36 וַיֹּ֡אמֶר (And Esau said), הֲכִי֩ (Is it because) קָרָ֨א (is called) שְׁמ֜וֹ (his name) יַעֲקֹ֗ב (Jacob)? וַֽיַּעְקְבֵ֙נִי֙ (And he has supplanted me) זֶ֣ה (these) פַעֲמַ֔יִם (two times). אֶת־ (-) בְּכֹרָתִ֣י (my birthright) לָקָ֔ח (he has taken), וְהִנֵּ֥ה (and behold), עַתָּ֖ה (now) לָקַ֣ח (he has taken) בִּרְכָתִ֑י (my blessing). וַיֹּאמַ֕ר (And he said), הֲלֹא־ (Have not) אָצַ֥לְתָּ (you reserved) לִּ֖י (for me) בְּרָכָֽה׃ (a blessing).

37 וַיַּ֨עַן (And answered) יִצְחָ֜ק (Isaac) וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (and said) לְעֵשָׂ֗ו (to Esau), הֵ֣ן (Behold), גְּבִ֞יר (master) שַׂמְתִּ֥יו (I have made him) לָךְ֙ (over you), וְאֶת־ (and) כָּל־ (all) אֶחָ֗יו (his brothers) נָתַ֤תִּי (I have given) לוֹ֙ (to him) לַעֲבָדִ֔ים (as servants); וְדָגָ֥ן (and grain) וְתִירֹ֖שׁ (and new wine) סְמַכְתִּ֑יו (I have sustained him with). וּלְכָ֣ה (And for you) אֵפ֔וֹא (now) מָ֥ה (what) אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֖ה (shall I do), בְּנִֽי׃ (my son)?

38 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר (And said) עֵשָׂ֜ו (Esau) אֶל־ (to) אָבִ֗יו (his father), הַֽבְרָכָ֨ה (Blessing) אַחַ֤ת (one) הִֽוא־ (is it) לְךָ֙ (that you have) אָבִ֔י (my father)? בָּרֲכֵ֥נִי (Bless) גַם־ (also) אָ֖נִי (me), אָבִ֑י (O my father). וַיִּשָּׂ֥א (And lifted up) עֵשָׂ֛ו (Esau) קֹל֖וֹ (his voice) וַיֵּֽבְךְּ׃ (and wept).

39 וַיַּ֛עַן (And answered) יִצְחָ֥ק (Isaac) אָבִ֖יו (his father) וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (and said) אֵלָ֑יו (to him) הִנֵּ֞ה (Behold), מִשְׁמַנֵּ֤י (of the fatness) הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ (of the earth) יִהְיֶ֣ה (shall be) מֽוֹשָׁבֶ֔ךָ (your dwelling), וּמִטַּ֥ל (and of the dew) הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם (of the heavens) מֵעָֽל׃ (above).

40 וְעַל־ (And by) חַרְבְּךָ֣ (your sword) תִֽחְיֶ֔ה (you shall live), וְאֶת־ (and) אָחִ֖יךָ (your brother) תַּעֲבֹ֑ד (you shall serve). וְהָיָה֙ (And it shall come to pass) כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר (when) תָּרִ֔יד (you become restless), וּפָרַקְתָּ֥ (that you shall break) עֻלּ֖וֹ (his yoke) מֵעַ֥ל (from) צַוָּארֶֽךָ׃ (your neck).

41 וַיִּשְׂטֹ֤ם (And hated) עֵשָׂו֙ (Esau) אֶֽת־ (-) יַעֲקֹ֔ב (Jacob) עַל־ (because) הַ֨בְּרָכָ֔ה (of the blessing) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (with which) בֵּרֲכ֖וֹ (had blessed him) אָבִ֑יו (his father). וַיֹּ֨אמֶר (And said) עֵשָׂ֜ו (Esau) בְּלִבּ֗וֹ (in his heart), יִקְרְבוּ֙ (Draw near) יְמֵי֙ (the days) אֵ֣בֶל (of mourning for) אָבִ֔י (my father); וְאַֽהַרְגָ֖ה (then I will kill) אֶת־ (-) יַעֲקֹ֥ב (Jacob) אָחִֽי׃ (my brother).

42 וַיֻּגַּ֣ד (And were told) לְרִבְקָ֔ה (to Rebekah) אֶת־ (-) דִּבְרֵ֥י (the words) עֵשָׂ֖ו (of Esau) בְּנָ֣הּ (her son) הַגָּדֹ֑ל (older), וַתִּשְׁלַ֞ח (and she sent) וַתִּקְרָ֤א (and called) לְיַעֲקֹב֙ (for Jacob) בְּנָ֣הּ (her son) הַקָּטָ֔ן (younger), וַתֹּ֣אמֶר (and she said) אֵלָ֔יו (to him), הִנֵּה֙ (Behold) עֵשָׂ֣ו (Esau) אָחִ֔יךָ (your brother) מִתְנַחֵ֥ם (is comforting himself) לְךָ֖ (concerning you) לְהָרְגֶֽךָ׃ (to kill you).

43 וְעַתָּ֥ה (And now) בְנִ֖י (my son), שְׁמַ֣ע (listen) בְּקֹלִ֑י (to my voice) וְק֧וּם (and arise); בְּרַח־ (flee) לְךָ֛ (for yourself) אֶל־ (to) לָבָ֥ן (Laban) אָחִ֖י (my brother) חָרָֽנָה׃ (in Haran).

44 וְיָשַׁבְתָּ֥ (And you shall stay) עִמּ֖וֹ (with him) יָמִ֣ים (days) אֲחָדִ֑ים (a few), עַ֥ד (until) אֲשֶׁר־ (the) תָּשׁ֖וּב (turns back) חֲמַ֥ת (fury) אָחִֽיךָ׃ (of your brother).

45 עַד־ (Until) שׁ֨וּב (turns away) אַף־ (the anger) אָחִ֜יךָ (of your brother) מִמְּךָ֗ (from you) וְשָׁכַח֙ (and he forgets) אֵ֣ת (-) אֲשֶׁר־ (that which) עָשִׂ֣יתָ (you did) לּ֔וֹ (to him), וְשָׁלַחְתִּ֖י (Then I will send) וּלְקַחְתִּ֣יךָ (and I will take you) מִשָּׁ֑ם (from there). לָמָ֥ה (Why) אֶשְׁכַּ֛ל (should I be bereaved) גַּם־ (also) שְׁנֵיכֶ֖ם (of you⁺ both) י֥וֹם (day) אֶחָֽד׃ (in one)?

46 וַתֹּ֤אמֶר (And said) רִבְקָה֙ (Rebekah) אֶל־ (to) יִצְחָ֔ק (Isaac), קַ֣צְתִּי (I am weary) בְחַיַּ֔י (of my life) מִפְּנֵ֖י (because) בְּנ֣וֹת (of the daughters) חֵ֑ת (of Heth). אִם־ (If) לֹקֵ֣חַ (takes) יַ֠עֲקֹב (Jacob) אִשָּׁ֨ה (a wife) מִבְּנֽוֹת־ (from the daughters) חֵ֤ת (of Heth), כָּאֵ֙לֶּה֙ (like these) מִבְּנ֣וֹת (from the daughters) הָאָ֔רֶץ (of the land), לָ֥מָּה (why) לִּ֖י (to me) חַיִּֽים׃ (is life)?
