They will roam the land, dejected and hungry. When they are famished, they will become enraged, and looking upward, they will curse their king and their God.

These pairs have befallen you: devastation and destruction, famine and sword. Who will grieve for you? Who can comfort you?
Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We hope for light, but there is darkness, for brightness, but we walk in gloom.
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: "My servants will eat, but you will go hungry; My servants will drink, but you will go thirsty; My servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame.
