Awaken, awaken! Rise up, O Jerusalem, you who have drunk from the hand of the LORD the cup of His fury; you who have drained the goblet to the dregs, the cup that makes men stagger.

I trampled nations in My anger; in My wrath I made them drunk and poured out their blood on the ground."
then you are to tell them that this is what the LORD says: 'I am going to fill with drunkenness all who live in this land--the kings who sit on David's throne, the priests, the prophets, and all the people of Jerusalem.
This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: "Take from My hand this cup of the wine of wrath, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink from it.
to make them a ruin, an object of horror and contempt and cursing, as they are this day--Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, its kings and officials;
Therefore My wrath and anger poured out and burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, so they have become the desolate ruin they are today.
This is what the Lord GOD says: 'You will drink your sister's cup, a cup deep and wide. It will bring scorn and derision, for it holds so much.
You will drink it dry; you will dash it to pieces, and tear your breasts. For I have spoken,' declares the Lord GOD.
