1 Peter 3:3-5
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment such as braided hair or gold jewelry or fine clothes, . . .
Then a woman came out to meet him, with attire of a prostitute and cunning of heart.
The LORD says, "Because the daughters of Zion are haughty--walking with heads held high and wanton eyes, prancing and skipping as they go, jingling the bracelets on their ankles--
Older women, likewise, are to be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers or addicted to much wine, but teachers of good. . . .
Then he brought out jewels of silver and gold, and articles of clothing, and gave them to Rebekah. He also gave precious gifts to her brother and her mother.
Exodus 35:22, 23

Does a maiden forget her jewelry or a bride her wedding sash? Yet My people have forgotten Me for days without number.
And you, O devastated one, what will you do, though you dress yourself in scarlet, though you adorn yourself with gold jewelry, though you enlarge your eyes with paint? You adorn yourself in vain; your lovers despise you; they want to take your life.
Then I bathed you with water, rinsed off your blood, and anointed you with oil. . . .
And why do you worry about clothes? Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin.
Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.
What then did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Look, those who wear fine clothing are found in kings' palaces.
