How Many Are Your Works, O LORD!

בָּרֲכִ֥י (Bless), נַפְשִׁ֗י (O my soul), אֶת־ (-) יְה֫וָ֥ה (YHWH).

יְהוָ֣ה (O YHWH) אֱ֭לֹהַי (my God), גָּדַ֣לְתָּ (You are great) מְּאֹ֑ד (very);

ה֭וֹד (honor) וְהָדָ֣ר (and majesty) לָבָֽשְׁתָּ׃ (You are clothed with).

2  עֹֽטֶה־ (Covering Himself) א֭וֹר (with light) כַּשַּׂלְמָ֑ה (as a garment),

נוֹטֶ֥ה (stretching out) שָׁ֝מַ֗יִם (the heavens) כַּיְרִיעָֽה׃ (like a curtain),

3  הַ֥מְקָרֶֽה (the One laying the beams) בַמַּ֗יִם (in the waters)

עֲ‍ֽלִיּ֫וֹתָ֥יו (of His upper chambers),

הַשָּׂם־ (the One making) עָבִ֥ים (the clouds) רְכוּב֑וֹ (His chariot),

הַֽ֝מְהַלֵּ֗ךְ (the One walking) עַל־ (on) כַּנְפֵי־ (the wings) רֽוּחַ׃ (of the wind),

4  עֹשֶׂ֣ה (making) מַלְאָכָ֣יו (His messengers) רוּח֑וֹת (the winds),

מְ֝שָׁרְתָ֗יו (His servants) אֵ֣שׁ (fire) לֹהֵֽט׃ (flaming).

5  יָֽסַד־ (He set) אֶ֭רֶץ (the earth) עַל־ (upon) מְכוֹנֶ֑יהָ (its foundations);

בַּל־ (it should not) תִּ֝מּ֗וֹט (it should be shaken) עוֹלָ֥ם (forever) וָעֶֽד׃ (and ever).

6  תְּ֭הוֹם (The deep) כַּלְּב֣וּשׁ (as with a garment) כִּסִּית֑וֹ (You covered it);

עַל־ (upon) הָ֝רִ֗ים (the mountains) יַֽעַמְדוּ־ (were standing) מָֽיִם׃ (the waters).

7  מִן־ (From) גַּעֲרָ֣תְךָ֣ (Your rebuke) יְנוּס֑וּן (they fled);

מִן־ (from) ק֥וֹל (the voice) רַֽ֝עַמְךָ֗ (of Your thunder) יֵחָפֵזֽוּן׃ (they hurried away).

8  יַעֲל֣וּ (Upon) הָ֭רִים (the mountains); יֵרְד֣וּ (they went down) בְקָע֑וֹת (to the valleys),

אֶל־ (to) מְ֝ק֗וֹם (the place) זֶ֤ה׀ (that) יָסַ֬דְתָּ (You established) לָהֶֽם׃ (for them).

9  גְּֽבוּל־ (A boundary) שַׂ֭מְתָּ (You have set); בַּל־ (that not) יַֽעֲבֹר֑וּן (they may cross over);

בַּל־ (not) יְ֝שׁוּב֗וּן (may they return) לְכַסּ֥וֹת (to cover) הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (the earth).

10  הַֽמְשַׁלֵּ֣חַ (He sends) מַ֭עְיָנִים (the springs) בַּנְּחָלִ֑ים (into the valleys);

בֵּ֥ין (between) הָ֝רִ֗ים (the hills) יְהַלֵּכֽוּן׃ (they flow).

11  יַ֭שְׁקוּ (They give drink) כָּל־ (to every) חַיְת֣וֹ (beast) שָׂדָ֑י (of the field);

יִשְׁבְּר֖וּ (break) פְרָאִ֣ים (the wild donkeys) צְמָאָֽם׃ (their thirst).

12  עֲ֭לֵיהֶם (Nearby them) עוֹף־ (the birds) הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם (of the heavens) יִשְׁכּ֑וֹן (are dwelling);

מִבֵּ֥ין (and from between) עֳ֝פָאיִ֗ם (the branches) יִתְּנוּ־ (they give forth) קֽוֹל׃ (a voice).

13  מַשְׁקֶ֣ה (Watering) הָ֭רִים (the hills) מֵעֲלִיּוֹתָ֑יו (from His upper chambers);

מִפְּרִ֥י (with the fruit) מַ֝עֲשֶׂ֗יךָ (of Your works) תִּשְׂבַּ֥ע (is satisfied) הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (the earth).

14  מַצְמִ֤יחַ (Causing to sprout) חָצִ֨יר׀ (the grass) לַבְּהֵמָ֗ה (for the cattle),

וְ֭עֵשֶׂב (and vegetation) לַעֲבֹדַ֣ת (for the service) הָאָדָ֑ם (of man),

לְה֥וֹצִיא (to bring forth) לֶ֝֗חֶם (food) מִן־ (from) הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (the earth).

15  וְיַ֤יִן׀ (And wine) יְשַׂמַּ֬ח (makes glad) לְֽבַב־ (the heart) אֱנ֗וֹשׁ (of man),

לְהַצְהִ֣יל (to make shine) פָּנִ֣ים (his face) מִשָּׁ֑מֶן (from oil),

וְ֝לֶ֗חֶם (and bread) לְֽבַב־ (the heart) אֱנ֥וֹשׁ (of man) יִסְעָֽד׃ (supports).

16  יִ֭שְׂבְּעוּ (Are satisfied) עֲצֵ֣י (the trees) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH),

אַֽרְזֵ֥י (the cedars) לְ֝בָנ֗וֹן (of Lebanon) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (that) נָטָֽע׃ (He planted),

17  אֲשֶׁר־ (where) שָׁ֭ם (in it) צִפֳּרִ֣ים (the birds) יְקַנֵּ֑נוּ (make their nests);

חֲ֝סִידָ֗ה (the stork)— בְּרוֹשִׁ֥ים (the cypresses) בֵּיתָֽהּ׃ (are her house).

18  הָרִ֣ים (The mountains) הַ֭גְּבֹהִים (high) לַיְּעֵלִ֑ים (are for the wild goats),

סְ֝לָעִ֗ים (the crags) מַחְסֶ֥ה (a refuge) לַֽשְׁפַנִּֽים׃ (for the rock badgers).

19  עָשָׂ֣ה (He appointed) יָ֭רֵחַ (the moon) לְמוֹעֲדִ֑ים (for appointed times);

שֶׁ֝֗מֶשׁ (and the sun) יָדַ֥ע (knows) מְבוֹאֽוֹ׃ (its entrance).

20  תָּֽשֶׁת־ (You make) חֹ֭שֶׁךְ (darkness), וִ֣יהִי (and becomes night) לָ֑יְלָה (night);

בּֽוֹ־ (in it) תִ֝רְמֹ֗שׂ (creep about) כָּל־ (all) חַיְתוֹ־ (the living things) יָֽעַר׃ (of the forest).

21  הַ֭כְּפִירִים (The young lions) שֹׁאֲגִ֣ים (roar) לַטָּ֑רֶף (for the prey)

וּלְבַקֵּ֖שׁ (and seek) מֵאֵ֣ל (from God) אָכְלָֽם׃ (their food).

22  תִּזְרַ֣ח (Rises) הַ֭שֶּׁמֶשׁ (the sun); יֵאָסֵפ֑וּן (they are gathered);

וְאֶל־ (and in) מְ֝עוֹנֹתָ֗ם (their dens) יִרְבָּצֽוּן׃ (they stretch out).

23  יֵצֵ֣א (Goes out) אָדָ֣ם (man) לְפָעֳל֑וֹ (to his work),

וְֽלַעֲבֹ֖דָת֣וֹ (and to his labor) עֲדֵי־ (until) עָֽרֶב׃ (the evening).

24  מָֽה־ (How) רַבּ֬וּ (many are) מַעֲשֶׂ֨יךָ׀ (Your works), יְֽהוָ֗ה (O YHWH)!

כֻּ֭לָּם (All of them) בְּחָכְמָ֣ה (in wisdom) עָשִׂ֑יתָ (You have made);

מָלְאָ֥ה (is full) הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ (the earth) קִנְיָנֶֽךָ׃ (of Your creatures).

25  זֶ֤ה׀ (This is) הַיָּ֥ם (the sea) גָּדוֹל֮ (great) וּרְחַ֪ב (and) יָ֫דָ֥יִם (wide)—

שָֽׁם־ (in it are) רֶ֭מֶשׂ (teeming things) וְאֵ֣ין (and without) מִסְפָּ֑ר (number),

חַיּ֥וֹת (living things) קְ֝טַנּ֗וֹת (small) עִם־ (with) גְּדֹלֽוֹת׃ (the great).

26  שָׁ֭ם (There) אֳנִיּ֣וֹת (the ships) יְהַלֵּכ֑וּן (go about),

לִ֝וְיָתָ֗ן (and Leviathan) זֶֽה־ (which) יָצַ֥רְתָּ (You formed) לְשַֽׂחֶק־ (to play) בּֽוֹ׃ (in it).

27  כֻּ֭לָּם (All of them) אֵלֶ֣יךָ (to You) יְשַׂבֵּר֑וּן (look)

לָתֵ֖ת (to give) אָכְלָ֣ם (their food) בְּעִתּֽוֹ׃ (in its season).

28  תִּתֵּ֣ן (You give) לָ֭הֶם (to them);

יִלְקֹט֑וּן (and they gather in).

תִּפְתַּ֥ח (You open) יָֽ֝דְךָ֗ (Your hand);

יִשְׂבְּע֥וּן (and they are satisfied) טֽוֹב׃ (with good).

29  תַּסְתִּ֥יר (You hide) פָּנֶיךָ֮ (Your face);

יִֽבָּהֵ֫ל֥וּן (they are troubled).

תֹּסֵ֣ף (You gather) ר֭וּחָם (their spirit);

יִגְוָע֑וּן (they die) וְֽאֶל־ (and to) עֲפָרָ֥ם (their dust) יְשׁוּבֽוּן׃ (they return).

30  תְּשַׁלַּ֣ח (You send forth) ר֭וּחֲךָ (Your Spirit);

יִבָּרֵא֑וּן (they are created).

וּ֝תְחַדֵּ֗שׁ (And You renew)

פְּנֵ֣י (the face) אֲדָמָֽה׃ (of the earth).

31  יְהִ֤י (Be) כְב֣וֹד (the glory) יְהוָ֣ה (of YHWH) לְעוֹלָ֑ם (forever);

יִשְׂמַ֖ח (rejoice) יְהוָ֣ה (YHWH) בְּמַעֲשָֽׂיו׃ (in His works).

32  הַמַּבִּ֣יט (The One looking) לָ֭אָרֶץ (on the earth),

וַתִּרְעָ֑ד (and it trembles);

יִגַּ֖ע (He touches) בֶּהָרִ֣ים (the mountains),

וְֽיֶעֱשָֽׁנוּ׃ (and they smoke).

33  אָשִׁ֣ירָה (I will sing) לַיהוָ֣ה (to YHWH) בְּחַיָּ֑י (during my life);

אֲזַמְּרָ֖ה (I will sing praise) לֵאלֹהַ֣י (to my God) בְּעוֹדִֽי׃ (while I live).

34  יֶעֱרַ֣ב (May it be pleasing) עָלָ֣יו (to Him) שִׂיחִ֑י (my melody);

אָ֝נֹכִ֗י (I) אֶשְׂמַ֥ח (rejoice) בַּיהוָֽה׃ (in YHWH).

35  יִתַּ֤מּוּ (May be consumed) חַטָּאִ֨ים׀ (the sinful ones) מִן־ (from) הָאָ֡רֶץ (the earth),

וּרְשָׁעִ֤ים׀ (and the wicked) ע֤וֹד (anymore) אֵינָ֗ם (they are not).

בָּרֲכִ֣י (Bless), נַ֭פְשִׁי (O my soul), אֶת־ (-) יְהוָ֗ה (YHWH).

הַֽלְלוּ־ (Hallelu) יָֽהּ׃ (YAH)!
