Bless Yahweh, O My Soul

לְדָוִ֨ד׀ (Of David).

1בָּרֲכִ֣י (Bless) נַ֭פְשִׁי (O my soul), אֶת־ (-) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH),

וְכָל־ (and all) קְ֝רָבַ֗י (within me) אֶת־ (-) שֵׁ֥ם (name) קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃ (His holy).

2  בָּרֲכִ֣י (Bless), נַ֭פְשִׁי (O my soul), אֶת־ (-) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH),

וְאַל־ (and not) תִּ֝שְׁכְּחִ֗י (do forget) כָּל־ (all) גְּמוּלָֽיו׃ (His benefits),

3  הַסֹּלֵ֥חַ (the One forgiving) לְכָל־ (all) עֲוֺנֵ֑כִי (your iniquities),

הָ֝רֹפֵ֗א (the One healing) לְכָל־ (all) תַּחֲלֻאָֽיְכִי׃ (your diseases),

4  הַגּוֹאֵ֣ל (the One redeeming) מִשַּׁ֣חַת (from destruction) חַיָּ֑יְכִי (your life),

הַֽ֝מְעַטְּרֵ֗כִי (the One crowning you) חֶ֣סֶד (with loving devotion) וְרַחֲמִֽים׃ (and compassion),

5  הַמַּשְׂבִּ֣יַע (the One filling) בַּטּ֣וֹב (with the good) עֶדְיֵ֑ךְ (your beauty)—

תִּתְחַדֵּ֖שׁ (is renewed) כַּנֶּ֣שֶׁר (like the eagle) נְעוּרָֽיְכִי׃ (your youth).

6  עֹשֵׂ֣ה (Is doing) צְדָק֣וֹת (righteousness) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH),

וּ֝מִשְׁפָּטִ֗ים (and justice) לְכָל־ (for all) עֲשׁוּקִֽים׃ (being oppressed).

7  יוֹדִ֣יעַ (He made known) דְּרָכָ֣יו (His ways) לְמֹשֶׁ֑ה (to Moses),

לִבְנֵ֥י (to the sons) יִ֝שְׂרָאֵ֗ל (of Israel) עֲלִילֽוֹתָיו׃ (His deeds).

8  רַח֣וּם (Compassionate) וְחַנּ֣וּן (and gracious) יְהוָ֑ה (is YHWH).

אֶ֖רֶךְ (Slow to) אַפַּ֣יִם (anger) וְרַב־ (and abounding in) חָֽסֶד׃ (loving devotion).

9  לֹֽא־ (Not) לָנֶ֥צַח (forever) יָרִ֑יב (will He contend),

וְלֹ֖א (and not) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) יִטּֽוֹר׃ (He will keep it).

10  לֹ֣א (Not) כַ֭חֲטָאֵינוּ (according to our sins) עָ֣שָׂה (has He done) לָ֑נוּ (to us),

וְלֹ֥א (and not) כַ֝עֲוֺנֹתֵ֗ינוּ (according to our iniquities) גָּמַ֥ל (has He dealt) עָלֵֽינוּ׃ (with us).

11  כִּ֤י (For) כִגְבֹ֣הַּ (as are high) שָׁ֭מַיִם (the heavens) עַל־ (above) הָאָ֑רֶץ (the earth),

גָּבַ֥ר (mighty is) חַ֝סְדּ֗וֹ (His loving devotion) עַל־ (for) יְרֵאָֽיו׃ (those fearing Him).

12  כִּרְחֹ֣ק (As far as) מִ֭זְרָח (the east is) מִֽמַּֽעֲרָ֑ב (from the west)

הִֽרְחִ֥יק (has He put far) מִ֝מֶּ֗נּוּ (from us) אֶת־ (-) פְּשָׁעֵֽינוּ׃ (our transgressions).

13  כְּרַחֵ֣ם (As has compassion) אָ֭ב (a father) עַל־ (for) בָּנִ֑ים (his children),

רִחַ֥ם (has compassion) יְ֝הוָ֗ה (YHWH) עַל־ (for) יְרֵאָֽיו׃ (those fearing Him).

14  כִּי־ (For) ה֖וּא (He) יָדַ֣ע (knows) יִצְרֵ֑נוּ (our form);

זָ֝כ֗וּר (He remembers) כִּי־ (that) עָפָ֥ר (dust) אֲנָֽחְנוּ׃ (we are).

15  אֱ֭נוֹשׁ (A man), כֶּחָצִ֣יר (like grass) יָמָ֑יו (are his days),

כְּצִ֥יץ (like the flower) הַ֝שָּׂדֶ֗ה (of the field) כֵּ֣ן (so) יָצִֽיץ׃ (he blossoms).

16  כִּ֤י (For) ר֣וּחַ (the wind) עָֽבְרָה־ (passes) בּ֣וֹ (over it) וְאֵינֶ֑נּוּ (and it is no more),

וְלֹא־ (and not) יַכִּירֶ֖נּוּ (does recognize it) ע֣וֹד (anymore) מְקוֹמֽוֹ׃ (and its place).

17  וְחֶ֤סֶד (And the loving devotion) יְהוָ֨ה׀ (of YHWH) מֵעוֹלָ֣ם (is from forever) וְעַד־ (and even to) ע֭וֹלָם (forever)

עַל־ (upon) יְרֵאָ֑יו (those fearing Him),

וְ֝צִדְקָת֗וֹ (and His righteousness) לִבְנֵ֥י (to the sons) בָנִֽים׃ (of the sons)—

18  לְשֹׁמְרֵ֥י (to those keeping) בְרִית֑וֹ (His covenant),

וּלְזֹכְרֵ֥י (and to those remembering) פִ֝קֻּדָ֗יו (His precepts), לַעֲשׂוֹתָֽם׃ (to do them).

19  יְֽהוָ֗ה (YHWH) בַּ֭שָּׁמַיִם (in the heavens) הֵכִ֣ין (has established) כִּסְא֑וֹ (His throne),

וּ֝מַלְכוּת֗וֹ (and His kingdom) בַּכֹּ֥ל (over all) מָשָֽׁלָה׃ (rules).

20  בָּרֲכ֥וּ (Bless) יְהוָ֗ה (YHWH), מַלְאָ֫כָ֥יו (His angels) גִּבֹּ֣רֵי (mighty) כֹ֭חַ (of power),

עֹשֵׂ֣י (doing) דְבָר֑וֹ (His word),

לִ֝שְׁמֹ֗עַ (to listen) בְּק֣וֹל (to the voice) דְּבָרֽוֹ׃ (of His word).

21  בָּרֲכ֣וּ (Bless) יְ֭הוָה (YHWH), כָּל־ (all) צְבָאָ֑יו (His hosts),

מְ֝שָׁרְתָ֗יו (His ministering ones) עֹשֵׂ֥י (doing) רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃ (His pleasure).

22  בָּרֲכ֤וּ (Bless) יְהוָ֨ה׀ (YHWH), כָּֽל־ (all) מַעֲשָׂ֗יו (His works),

בְּכָל־ (in all) מְקֹמ֥וֹת (places) מֶמְשַׁלְתּ֑וֹ (of His dominion).

בָּרֲכִ֥י (Bless), נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י (O my soul). אֶת־ (-) יְהוָֽה׃ (YHWH),
