Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.6Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons.6Now there were six stone waterpots set there for the Jewish custom of purification, containing twenty or thirty gallons each.6And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.6Now six stone water jars had been set there for Jewish purification. Each contained 20 or 30 gallons.
Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.7Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.7Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." So they filled them up to the brim.7Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.7"Fill the jars with water," Jesus told them. So they filled them to the brim.
Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so,8And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it.8And He said to them, "Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter." So they took it to him.8And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.8Then He said to them, "Now draw some out and take it to the chief servant." And they did.
and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside9When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom9When the headwaiter tasted the water which had become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom,9When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,9When the chief servant tasted the water (after it had become wine), he did not know where it came from--though the servants who had drawn the water knew. 10and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."10and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.”10and said to him, "Every man serves the good wine first, and when the people have drunk freely, then he serves the poorer wine; but you have kept the good wine until now."10And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.10and told him, "Everyone sets out the fine wine first, then, after people have drunk freely, the inferior. But you have kept the fine wine until now."
What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.11This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.11This beginning of His signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.11This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.11Jesus performed this first sign in Cana of Galilee. He displayed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.

There they stayed for a few days.12After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother and his brothers and his disciples, and they stayed there for a few days.12After this He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother and His brothers and His disciples; and they stayed there a few days.12After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.12After this, He went down to Capernaum, together with His mother, His brothers, and His disciples, and they stayed there only a few days.
When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.13The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.13The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.13And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,13The Jewish Passover was near, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money.14In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there.14And He found in the temple those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers seated at their tables.14And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:14In the temple complex He found people selling oxen, sheep, and doves, and He also found the money changers sitting there.
So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.15And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables.15And He made a scourge of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables;15And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;15After making a whip out of cords, He drove everyone out of the temple complex with their sheep and oxen. He also poured out the money changers' coins and overturned the tables.

To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father's house into a market!"16And he told those who sold the pigeons, “Take these things away; do not make my Father’s house a house of trade.”16and to those who were selling the doves He said, "Take these things away; stop making My Father's house a place of business."16And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.16He told those who were selling doves, "Get these things out of here! Stop turning My Father's house into a marketplace!"
His disciples remembered that it is written: "Zeal for your house will consume me."17His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.”17His disciples remembered that it was written, "ZEAL FOR YOUR HOUSE WILL CONSUME ME."17And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.17And His disciples remembered that it is written: Zeal for Your house will consume Me.
The Jews then responded to him, "What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?"18So the Jews said to him, “What sign do you show us for doing these things?”18The Jews then said to Him, "What sign do You show us as your authority for doing these things?"18Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?18So the Jews replied to Him, "What sign of authority will You show us for doing these things?"
Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days."19Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”19Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."19Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.19Jesus answered, "Destroy this sanctuary, and I will raise it up in three days."
They replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?"20The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?”20The Jews then said, "It took forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?"20Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?20Therefore the Jews said, "This sanctuary took 46 years to build, and will You raise it up in three days?"

But the temple he had spoken of was his body.21But he was speaking about the temple of his body.21But He was speaking of the temple of His body.21But he spake of the temple of his body.21But He was speaking about the sanctuary of His body.
After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.22When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.22So when He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.22When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.22So when He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this. And they believed the Scripture and the statement Jesus had made.
Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name.23Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing.23Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing.23Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.23While He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many trusted in His name when they saw the signs He was doing.
But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people.24But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people24But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men,24But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,24Jesus, however, would not entrust Himself to them, since He knew them all
He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.25and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.25and because He did not need anyone to testify concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in man.25And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.25and because He did not need anyone to testify about man; for He Himself knew what was in man.
