1	These are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt according to their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.	These are the stages of the people of Israel, when they went out of the land of Egypt by their companies under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.	Here are the stages in the journey of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt by divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.
2	And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Jehovah; and these are their journeys according to their goings out.	Moses wrote down their starting places, stage by stage, by command of the LORD, and these are their stages according to their starting places.	At the LORD’s command Moses recorded the stages in their journey. This is their journey by stages:
3	They journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.	They set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the day after the Passover, the people of Israel went out triumphantly in the sight of all the Egyptians,	The Israelites set out from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover. They marched out defiantly in full view of all the Egyptians,
4	And the Egyptians buried those whom Jehovah had smitten among them, all the firstborn; and upon their gods Jehovah executed judgments.	while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck down among them. On their gods also the LORD executed judgments.	who were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck down among them; for the LORD had brought judgment on their gods.
5	And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.	So the people of Israel set out from Rameses and camped at Succoth.	The Israelites left Rameses and camped at Sukkoth.
6	And they removed from Succoth and encamped in Etham, which is at the end of the wilderness.	And they set out from Succoth and camped at Etham, which is on the edge of the wilderness.	They left Sukkoth and camped at Etham, on the edge of the desert.
7	And they removed from Etham, and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, which is opposite Baal-Zephon, and encamped before Migdol.	And they set out from Etham and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, which is east of Baal-zephon, and they camped before Migdol.	They left Etham, turned back to Pi Hahiroth, to the east of Baal Zephon, and camped near Migdol.
8	And they removed from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.	And they set out from before Hahiroth and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and they went a three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham and camped at Marah.	They left Pi Hahiroth and passed through the sea into the desert, and when they had traveled for three days in the Desert of Etham, they camped at Marah.
9	And they removed from Marah, and came to Elim; and in Elim were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm-trees, and they encamped there.	And they set out from Marah and came to Elim; at Elim there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they camped there.	They left Marah and went to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there.
10	And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea.	And they set out from Elim and camped by the Red Sea.	They left Elim and camped by the Red Sea.
11	And they removed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.	And they set out from the Red Sea and camped in the wilderness of Sin.	They left the Red Sea and camped in the Desert of Sin.
12	And they removed from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.	And they set out from the wilderness of Sin and camped at Dophkah.	They left the Desert of Sin and camped at Dophkah.
13	And they removed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.	And they set out from Dophkah and camped at Alush.	They left Dophkah and camped at Alush.
14	And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.	And they set out from Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.	They left Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

18	And they removed from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.	And they set out from Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah.	They left Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah.
19	And they removed from Rithmah, and encamped at Rimmon-perez.	And they set out from Rithmah and camped at Rimmon-perez.	They left Rithmah and camped at Rimmon Perez.
20	And they removed from Rimmon-perez, and encamped in Libnah.	And they set out from Rimmon-perez and camped at Libnah.	They left Rimmon Perez and camped at Libnah.
21	And they removed from Libnah, and encamped at Rissah.	And they set out from Libnah and camped at Rissah.	They left Libnah and camped at Rissah.
22	And they removed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.	And they set out from Rissah and camped at Kehelathah.	They left Rissah and camped at Kehelathah.
23	And they removed from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shapher.	And they set out from Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher.	They left Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher.
24	And they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Haradah.	And they set out from Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah.	They left Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah.
25	And they removed from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth.	And they set out from Haradah and camped at Makheloth.	They left Haradah and camped at Makheloth.
26	And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath.	And they set out from Makheloth and camped at Tahath.	They left Makheloth and camped at Tahath.
27	And they removed from Tahath, and encamped at Terah.	And they set out from Tahath and camped at Terah.	They left Tahath and camped at Terah.

37	And they removed from Kadesh, and encamped in mount Hor, in the border of the land of Edom.	And they set out from Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor, on the edge of the land of Edom.	They left Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor, on the border of Edom.
38	And Aaron the priest went up mount Hor by the commandment of Jehovah, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month.	And Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor at the command of the LORD and died there, in the fortieth year after the people of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month.	At the LORD’s command Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor, where he died on the first day of the fifth month of the fortieth year after the Israelites came out of Egypt.
39	And Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on mount Hor.	And Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.	Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40	And the Canaanite, the king of Arad who dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.	And the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who lived in the Negeb in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the people of Israel.	The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming.
41	And they removed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.	And they set out from Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.	They left Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.
42	And they removed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.	And they set out from Zalmonah and camped at Punon.	They left Zalmonah and camped at Punon.
43	And they removed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.	And they set out from Punon and camped at Oboth.	They left Punon and camped at Oboth.
44	And they removed from Oboth, and encamped in Ijim-Abarim, in the border of Moab.	And they set out from Oboth and camped at Iye-abarim, in the territory of Moab.	They left Oboth and camped at Iye Abarim, on the border of Moab.
45	And they removed from Ijim, and encamped in Dibon-Gad.	And they set out from Iyim and camped at Dibon-gad.	They left Iye Abarim and camped at Dibon Gad.
46	And they removed from Dibon-Gad, and encamped in Almon-Diblathaim.	And they set out from Dibon-gad and camped at Almon-diblathaim.	They left Dibon Gad and camped at Almon Diblathaim.
47	And they removed from Almon-Diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.	And they set out from Almon-diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.	They left Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, near Nebo.
48	And they removed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho.	And they set out from the mountains of Abarim and camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho;	They left the mountains of Abarim and camped on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho.
49	And they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth unto Abel-Shittim, in the plains of Moab.	they camped by the Jordan from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.	There on the plains of Moab they camped along the Jordan from Beth Jeshimoth to Abel Shittim.
50	And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho, saying,	And the LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,	On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho the LORD said to Moses,
51	Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over Jordan into the land of Canaan,	“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,	“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into Canaan,
52	then ye shall dispossess all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and ye shall destroy all their figured images, and all their molten images shall ye destroy, and all their high places shall ye lay waste;	then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you and destroy all their figured stones and destroy all their metal images and demolish all their high places.	drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images and their cast idols, and demolish all their high places.
53	and ye shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein, for to you have I given the land to possess it.	And you shall take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given the land to you to possess it.	Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.
54	And ye shall take for yourselves the land as an inheritance by lot according to your families: to the many ye shall increase their inheritance, and to the few thou shalt diminish their inheritance: where the lot falleth to him, there shall be each man's [inheritance]; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye take for yourselves the inheritance.	You shall inherit the land by lot according to your clans. To a large tribe you shall give a large inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a small inheritance. Wherever the lot falls for anyone, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit.	Distribute the land by lot, according to your clans. To a larger group give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group a smaller one. Whatever falls to them by lot will be theirs. Distribute it according to your ancestral tribes.
55	But if ye will not dispossess the inhabitants of the land from before you, those that ye let remain of them shall be thorns in your eyes, and pricks in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land wherein ye dwell.	But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those of them whom you let remain shall be as barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land where you dwell.	“’But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.
56	And it shall come to pass that I will do unto you as I thought to do unto them.	And I will do to you as I thought to do to them.”	And then I will do to you what I plan to do to them.’”
