1 These are the iourneis of the children of Israel, which went out of the land of Egypt with their armies, vnder the hand of Moyses and Aaron. These are the stages of the people of Israel, when they went out of the land of Egypt by their companies under the leadership of Moses and Aaron. Here are the stages in the journey of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt by divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.
2 And Moyses wrote their goyng out by their iourneis, accordyng to the commaundement of the Lorde: euen these are the iourneis of their goyng out. Moses wrote down their starting places, stage by stage, by command of the LORD, and these are their stages according to their starting places. At the LORD’s command Moses recorded the stages in their journey. This is their journey by stages:
3 They departed from Rameses the fifteene day of the first moneth, on the morowe after the Passouer: and the childre of Israel went out with an hie hande in the sight of the Egyptians. They set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the day after the Passover, the people of Israel went out triumphantly in the sight of all the Egyptians, The Israelites set out from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover. They marched out defiantly in full view of all the Egyptians,
4 (For the Egyptians buryed all their first borne which the Lord had smitten among them, and vpon their gods also the Lorde dyd execution.) while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck down among them. On their gods also the LORD executed judgments. who were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck down among them; for the LORD had brought judgment on their gods.
5 And the children of Israel remoued from Rameses, and pitched in Sucoth. So the people of Israel set out from Rameses and camped at Succoth. The Israelites left Rameses and camped at Sukkoth.
6 And they departed from Sucoth, and pitched their tentes in Etham, which is in the edge of the wildernesse. And they set out from Succoth and camped at Etham, which is on the edge of the wilderness. They left Sukkoth and camped at Etham, on the edge of the desert.
7 And they remoued from Etham, and turned agayne vnto Pihairoth, which is before Baal Zephon: and they pitched before Migdol. And they set out from Etham and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, which is east of Baal-zephon, and they camped before Migdol. They left Etham, turned back to Pi Hahiroth, to the east of Baal Zephon, and camped near Migdol.
8 And they departed from Pihairoth: and went through the middes of the sea into the wildernesse, and went three dayes iourney in the wildernesse of Etham, and pitched in Marah. And they set out from before Hahiroth and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and they went a three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham and camped at Marah. They left Pi Hahiroth and passed through the sea into the desert, and when they had traveled for three days in the Desert of Etham, they camped at Marah.
9 And they remoued from Marah, and came vnto Elim, where were twelue fountaynes of water, and threescore & ten Palme trees, & they pitched there. And they set out from Marah and came to Elim; at Elim there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they camped there. They left Marah and went to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there.
10 And they remoued from Elim, and camped fast by the red sea. And they set out from Elim and camped by the Red Sea. They left Elim and camped by the Red Sea.
11 And they remoued from the red sea, and camped in the wildernesse of Zin. And they set out from the Red Sea and camped in the wilderness of Sin. They left the Red Sea and camped in the Desert of Sin.
12 And they toke their iourney out of the wildernesse of Zin, and set vp their tentes in Daphka. And they set out from the wilderness of Sin and camped at Dophkah. They left the Desert of Sin and camped at Dophkah.
13 And they departed from Daphka, and lay in Alus. And they set out from Dophkah and camped at Alush. They left Dophkah and camped at Alush.
14 And they remoued from Alus, and lay at Raphidim, where was no water for the people to drynke. And they set out from Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink. They left Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.
15 And they departed from Raphidim, & pitched in the wildernesse of Sinai. And they set out from Rephidim and camped in the wilderness of Sinai. They left Rephidim and camped in the Desert of Sinai.
16 And they remoued from the desert of Sinai, & pitched at the graues of lust. And they set out from the wilderness of Sinai and camped at Kibroth-hattaavah. They left the Desert of Sinai and camped at Kibroth Hattaavah.
17 And they departed from ye sepulchres of lust, and lay at Hazeroth. And they set out from Kibroth-hattaavah and camped at Hazeroth. They left Kibroth Hattaavah and camped at Hazeroth.
18 And they departed from Hazeroth, and pitched in Rithma. And they set out from Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah. They left Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah.
19 And they departed from Rithma, and pitched at Rimon Pharez. And they set out from Rithmah and camped at Rimmon-perez. They left Rithmah and camped at Rimmon Perez.
20 And thei departed from Rimon Pharez, and pitched in Libna. And they set out from Rimmon-perez and camped at Libnah. They left Rimmon Perez and camped at Libnah.
21 And they remoued from Libna, and pitched at Rissa. And they set out from Libnah and camped at Rissah. They left Libnah and camped at Rissah.
22 And they iourneyed from Rissa, and pitched in Kehelatha. And they set out from Rissah and camped at Kehelathah. They left Rissah and camped at Kehelathah.
23 And they went from Kehelatha, and pitched in mount Sepher. And they set out from Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher. They left Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher.
24 And they remoued from mount Sepher, and lay in Harada. And they set out from Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah. They left Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah.
25 And they remoued from Harada, and pitched in Makeloth. And they set out from Haradah and camped at Makheloth. They left Haradah and camped at Makheloth.
26 And they remoued from Makeloth, and lay at Thahath. And they set out from Makheloth and camped at Tahath. They left Makheloth and camped at Tahath.
27 And they departed from Thahath, and pitched at Tharath. And they set out from Tahath and camped at Terah. They left Tahath and camped at Terah.
28 And they remoued from Tharath, and pitched in Mithca. And they set out from Terah and camped at Mithkah. They left Terah and camped at Mithkah.
29 And they went from Mithca, and pitched in Hasinona. And they set out from Mithkah and camped at Hashmonah. They left Mithkah and camped at Hashmonah.
30 And they departed from Hasmona, and lay at Moseroth. And they set out from Hashmonah and camped at Moseroth. They left Hashmonah and camped at Moseroth.
31 And they departed from Moseroth, and pitched in Bene Iaakan. And they set out from Moseroth and camped at Bene-jaakan. They left Moseroth and camped at Bene Jaakan.
32 And they remoued fro Bene Iaakan, and lay at Horgadgad. And they set out from Bene-jaakan and camped at Hor-haggidgad. They left Bene Jaakan and camped at Hor Haggidgad.
33 And they went from Horgadgad, and pitched in Iethebatha. And they set out from Hor-haggidgad and camped at Jotbathah. They left Hor Haggidgad and camped at Jotbathah.
34 And they remoued from Iethebatha, and lay at Abrona. And they set out from Jotbathah and camped at Abronah. They left Jotbathah and camped at Abronah.
35 And they departed from Abrona, and lay at Ezeon gaber. And they set out from Abronah and camped at Ezion-geber. They left Abronah and camped at Ezion Geber.
36 And they remoued from Ezeon gaber, and pitched in the wyldernesse of Sin, whiche is Cades. And they set out from Ezion-geber and camped in the wilderness of Zin (that is, Kadesh). They left Ezion Geber and camped at Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin.
37 And they remoued from Cades, and pitched in mount Hor, whiche is in the edge of the lande of Edom. And they set out from Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor, on the edge of the land of Edom. They left Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor, on the border of Edom.
38 And Aaron the priest went vp into mount Hor at the commaundement of the Lorde, and dyed there, euen in the fourteeth yere after the chyldren of Israel were come out of ye lande of Egypt, and in the first day of the fifth moneth. And Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor at the command of the LORD and died there, in the fortieth year after the people of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month. At the LORD’s command Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor, where he died on the first day of the fifth month of the fortieth year after the Israelites came out of Egypt.
39 And Aaron was an hundred and twentie and three yeres olde when he dyed in mount Hor. And Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor. Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40 And king Erad the Chanaanite (which dwelt in the south in the lande of Chanaan) heard of the comming of the children of Israel: And the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who lived in the Negeb in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the people of Israel. The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming.
41 And they departed from mount Hor, and pitched in Zalmona. And they set out from Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah. They left Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.
42 And they departed from Zalmona, and pitched in Phunon. And they set out from Zalmonah and camped at Punon. They left Zalmonah and camped at Punon.
43 And they departed from Phunon, and pitched in Oboth. And they set out from Punon and camped at Oboth. They left Punon and camped at Oboth.
44 And they departed from Oboth, and pitched in Iim abarim, in the border of Moab. And they set out from Oboth and camped at Iye-abarim, in the territory of Moab. They left Oboth and camped at Iye Abarim, on the border of Moab.
45 And they departed from Iim abarim, and pitched in Dibon Gad. And they set out from Iyim and camped at Dibon-gad. They left Iye Abarim and camped at Dibon Gad.
46 And they remoued from Dibon Gad, and lay in Almon Diblathaim. And they set out from Dibon-gad and camped at Almon-diblathaim. They left Dibon Gad and camped at Almon Diblathaim.
47 And they remoued from Almon Diblathaim, and pitched in the mountaines of Abarim before Nabo. And they set out from Almon-diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo. They left Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, near Nebo.
48 And they departed from the mountaynes of Abarim, and pitched in the fieldes of Moab, fast by Iordane ouer against Iericho. And they set out from the mountains of Abarim and camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho; They left the mountains of Abarim and camped on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho.
49 And they pitched by Iordane, from Beth Iesimoth, vnto the playne of Sittim in the fieldes of Moab. they camped by the Jordan from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab. There on the plains of Moab they camped along the Jordan from Beth Jeshimoth to Abel Shittim.
50 And the Lorde spake vnto Moyses in the fielde of Moab by Iordane ouer agaynst Iericho, saying: And the LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying, On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho the LORD said to Moses,
51 Speake vnto the chyldren of Israel, and say vnto them: When ye are come ouer Iordane to enter into the lande of Chanaan, “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into Canaan,
52 Ye shall dryue out all the inhabiters of the lande before you, and destroy all their pictures, & breake a sunder al their images of mettall, and plucke downe all their hye places. then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you and destroy all their figured stones and destroy all their metal images and demolish all their high places. drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images and their cast idols, and demolish all their high places.
53 And possesse the lande, and dwell therin: for I haue geuen you the lande to enioy it. And you shall take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given the land to you to possess it. Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.
54 And ye shall deuide the inheritaunce of the land by lot among your kinredes, and geue to the moe, the more inheritounce, and to the fewer, the lesse inheritaunce: And your inheritaunce shalbe in the tribes of your fathers, euery mans inheritaunce in the place where his lot falleth. You shall inherit the land by lot according to your clans. To a large tribe you shall give a large inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a small inheritance. Wherever the lot falls for anyone, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit. Distribute the land by lot, according to your clans. To a larger group give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group a smaller one. Whatever falls to them by lot will be theirs. Distribute it according to your ancestral tribes.
55 But and if ye wyll not dryue out the inhabiters of the lande before you, then those whiche ye let remayne of them, shalbe prickes in your eyes, and dartes in your sides, and shall vexe you in the lande wherein ye dwell. But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those of them whom you let remain shall be as barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land where you dwell. “’But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.
56 Moreouer, it wyll come to passe, that I shall do vnto you, as I thought to do vnto them. And I will do to you as I thought to do to them.” And then I will do to you what I plan to do to them.’”
