1	Then Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God arrive with power.”	And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.”	And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.”
2	After six days Jesus took with Him Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There He was transfigured before them. 7	Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud: “This is My beloved Son. Listen to him!”

9	As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus admonished them not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead. 13	But I tell you that Elijah has indeed come, and they have done to him whatever they wished, just as it is written about him.”	But I tell you that Elijah has come, and they did to him whatever they pleased, as it is written of him.”	But I tell you, Elijah has come, and they have done to him everything they wished, just as it is written about him.”
14	When Jesus returned to the other disciples, He saw a large crowd around them, and scribes arguing with them.	And when they came to the disciples, they saw a great crowd around them, and scribes arguing with them. 18	Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked Your disciples to drive it out, but they were unable.”	And whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. 19	“O unbelieving generation!” Jesus replied. “How long must I remain with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy to Me.”	And he answered them, “O faithless generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to me.”	“You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”
20	So they brought him, and seeing Jesus, the spirit immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.	And they brought the boy to him. And when the spirit saw him, immediately it convulsed the boy, and he fell on the ground and rolled about, foaming at the mouth.	So they brought him. 22	“It often throws him into the fire or into the water, trying to kill him. 24	Immediately the boy’s father cried out with tears, “Lord, I do believe; help my unbelief!”	Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”	Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
25	When Jesus saw that a crowd had come running, He rebuked the unclean spirit. “You mute and deaf spirit,” He said, “I command you to come out and never enter him again.”	And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”	When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”
26	After shrieking and convulsing him violently, the spirit came out. The boy became like a corpse, so that many said, “He is dead.”	And after crying out and convulsing him terribly, it came out, and the boy was like a corpse, so that most of them said, “He is dead.”	The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.”

38	John said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us driving out demons in Your name, and we forbade him, because he does not accompany us.”	John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he was not following us.”	“Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.”
39	“Do not stop him,” Jesus replied. “For no one who performs a miracle in My name can turn around and speak evil of Me.	But Jesus said, “Do not stop him, for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me.	“Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me,
40	For whoever is not against you is for you.	For the one who is not against us is for us.	for whoever is not against us is for us.
41	Indeed, if anyone gives you even a cup of water in My name because you are Christ’s, truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward.	For truly, I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ will by no means lose his reward.	Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.
42	But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea.	“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.	“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.
43	If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two hands and go into hell, into the unquenchable fire,	And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire.	If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out.
