The Guilt Offering 1“ And this is the law of the guilt offering: It is holy of holies.† 2In the place where they kill the burnt offering, they shall kill the guilt offering; and he shall sprinkle its blood on the altar all around. 3And he shall offer all its fat from it, the fat tail, and the fat that covers the entrails, 4and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them that is by the flanks, and the lobe of the liver above the kidneys—he shall remove it. 5And the priest shall burn them on the altar as a fire offering to YHWH; it is a guilt offering. 6Every male among the priests may eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place; it is holy of holies; 7As the sin offering, so is the guilt offering; one law is for them. The priest who makes atonement with it, unto him it shall be. 8And the priest who offers a burnt offering for anyone—the skin of the burnt offering that he has offered, it is unto that priest, unto him. 9And every grain offering that is baked in the oven, and all that is prepared in the pan† or on a griddle†—the priest who offers it, unto him it shall be. 10And every grain offering, whether mixed with the oil or dry, it shall be unto all sons of Aaron, to one as to his brother. The Peace Offering 11And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings that he shall offer to YHWH: 12If he offers it for thanksgiving, then he shall offer it with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mixed with the oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with the oil, and well-kneaded cakes of fine flour mixed with the oil. 13Besides the cakes, he shall offer leavened bread as his offering with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings. 14And he shall offer from it one cake from each offering as a contribution to YHWH. To the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings, unto him it shall be. 15And the flesh of the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offering, in the day of its offering it shall be eaten; he shall not leave any of it until morning. 16But if the sacrifice of his offering is a vow or a voluntary offering, in the day of his bringing near his sacrifice, it shall be eaten; and on the next day even the remainder of it may be eaten; 17and the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day must be burned with the fire. 18And if the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings is eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted for him who is bringing it near, nor shall it be imputed to him. It shall be an abomination, and the person who eats of it shall bear guilt. 19And the flesh that touches any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with the fire. And as for the clean flesh, all who are clean may eat of it. 20And the person who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace offerings that are unto YHWH, and his uncleanness is on him, indeed that person shall be cut off from his people. 21And if a person touches any unclean thing of the uncleanness of man, or an unclean animal, or any unclean detestable thing, and he eats the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace offerings that is unto YHWH, then that person shall be cut off from his people.” Fat and Blood Forbidden 22And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 23“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘Any of the fat of an ox, or sheep, or goat, you⁺ shall not eat. 24And the fat of a carcass, and the fat of a torn thing, may be used in any other way; and by no means shall you⁺ ever eat it. 25For whoever eats the fat of the animal of which men offer a fire offering to YHWH, indeed the person who eats it shall be cut off from his people. 26And any blood you⁺ shall not eat in any of your⁺ dwellings, of the bird or of the beast. 27Any person who eats any blood, indeed that person shall be cut off from his people.’” The Priests’ Portion 28And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 29“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘He who is bringing near the sacrifice of his peace offerings to YHWH shall bring his offering to YHWH, from the sacrifice of his peace offerings. 30His own hands shall bring the fire offerings to YHWH; the fat with the breast he shall bring with the breast to wave as a wave offering before the face of YHWH. 31And the priest shall burn the fat on the altar, and the breast shall belong to Aaron and his sons. 32And the right thigh you⁺ shall give as a contribution to the priest from the sacrifices of your⁺ peace offerings. 33He among the sons of Aaron who offers the blood of the peace offerings and the fat, to him shall be the right thigh as a portion. 34For the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the contribution I have taken from the sons of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons by an everlasting statute from the sons of Israel.’” 35This is the consecrated portion for Aaron and his sons from the fire offerings to YHWH on the day when Moses presented them to minister as priests to YHWH, 36which YHWH commanded to be given to them on the day He anointed them by the sons of Israel by an everlasting statute throughout their generations. 37This is the law of the burnt offering, the grain offering, and the sin offering, and the guilt offering, and the ordination offerings, and the sacrifice of the peace offerings, 38that YHWH commanded Moses on Mount Sinai, on the day when He commanded the sons of Israel to offer their offerings to YHWH in the Wilderness of Sinai.
