From the blue, purple, and scarlet yarn they made woven garments for serving in the sanctuary; they made holy garments that were for Aaron, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 1From the blue, purple, and scarlet material they made finely woven garments for ministering in the Holy Place, and they made the holy garments for Aaron, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
He made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen.2He made the ephod out of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet material and fine woven linen.
They hammered the gold into thin sheets and cut it into narrow strips to weave them into the blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and into the fine linen, the work of an artistic designer.3They hammered out gold sheets and cut off threads to work into the blue, purple, and scarlet material and into the fine linen, a work of skillful design.
They made shoulder pieces for it, attached to two of its corners, so it could be joined together.4They made connecting shoulder pieces for the ephod and attached them to its two edges.
The artistically woven waistband of the ephod that was on it was like it, of one piece with it, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twisted linen, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 5The skillfully woven band that was on it was made like it, of one piece with it: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet material and fine woven linen, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
They set the onyx stones in gold filigree settings, engraved as with the engravings of a seal with the names of the sons of Israel.6They prepared the onyx stones, engraved with the names of the sons of Israel like the engraving on a signet, and mounted them in settings of gold filigree.
He put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as stones of memorial for the Israelites, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 7He put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
He made the breastpiece, the work of an artistic designer, in the same fashion as the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet, and fine twisted linen.8He made a breast piece, skillfully worked, like the work of the ephod: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet material and fine woven linen.
It was square--they made the breastpiece doubled, nine inches long and nine inches wide when doubled.9They made the breast piece square when folded double: one span in length and one span in width when folded double.
They set on it four rows of stones: a row with a ruby, a topaz, and a beryl--the first row;10They mounted on it four rows of stones. The first row was a row of carnelian, topaz, and emerald;
and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and an emerald;11the second row ruby, sapphire, and crystal;
and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;12the third row jacinth, agate, and amethyst;
and the fourth row, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in gold filigree settings.13and the fourth row beryl, onyx, and jasper. They were set in gold filigree when they were mounted.
The stones were for the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, corresponding to the number of their names. Each name corresponding to one of the twelve tribes was like the engravings of a seal. 14The stones corresponded to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve stones corresponding to their names, with the engraving of a signet, each with the name of one of the twelve tribes.
They made for the breastpiece braided chains like cords of pure gold,15They made chains of pure gold twisted like cords for the breast piece.
and they made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and they attached the two rings to the upper two ends of the breastpiece.16They made two settings of gold filigree and two gold rings, and they put the two rings on the two edges of the breast piece.
They attached the two gold chains to the two rings at the ends of the breastpiece;17They put the two gold cords on the two gold rings at the edges of the breast piece,
the other two ends of the two chains they attached to the two settings, and they attached them to the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front of it.18and they attached the other two ends of the two cords to the filigree settings, and then attached them to the shoulder pieces of the ephod in front.
They made two rings of gold and put them on the other two ends of the breastpiece on its edge, which is on the inner side of the ephod.19They made two gold rings and attached them to the two edges of the breast piece, on the side of it which is toward the inner side of the ephod.
They made two more gold rings and attached them to the bottom of the two shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod, close to the juncture above the waistband of the ephod.20They made two gold rings and attached them in front, on the lower part of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, close to the place where it's joined, above the skillfully woven band of the ephod.
They tied the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod by blue cord, so that it was above the waistband of the ephod, so that the breastpiece would not be loose from the ephod, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 21They tied the breast piece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord so it would rest on the skillfully woven band of the ephod and so the breast piece would not come loose from the ephod.
He made the robe of the ephod completely blue, the work of a weaver.22He made the robe of the ephod of woven work, entirely of blue.
There was an opening in the center of the robe, like the opening of a collar, with an edge all around the opening so that it could not be torn.23The opening of the robe was in the middle, like the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding around the opening so it would not be torn.
They made pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and twisted linen around the hem of the robe.24On the hem of the robe, they placed pomegranates made of blue, purple, and scarlet material and woven linen.
They made bells of pure gold and attached the bells between the pomegranates around the hem of the robe between the pomegranates.25They made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates, on the hem of the robe, all around between the pomegranates.
There was a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe, to be used in ministering, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 26There was a bell and a pomegranate, then a bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe for when the High Priest ministered, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
They made tunics of fine linen--the work of a weaver, for Aaron and for his sons--27They made tunics for Aaron and his sons, woven from fine linen,
and the turban of fine linen, the headbands of fine linen, and the undergarments of fine twisted linen.28the turban of fine linen, decorated head coverings of fine linen, linen undergarments of fine woven linen,
The sash was of fine twisted linen and blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, the work of an embroiderer, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.29and the sash of fine woven linen, woven of blue, purple, and scarlet material, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
They made a plate, the holy diadem, of pure gold and wrote on it an inscription, as on the engravings of a seal, "Holiness to the LORD."30They made the medallion for the holy crown of pure gold, and they wrote on it an inscription like the engraving on a seal: "Holy to the LORD."
They attached to it a blue cord, to attach it to the turban above, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 31They fastened a blue cord to it in order to fasten it on the turban above, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
So all the work of the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, was completed, and the Israelites did according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses--they did it exactly so.32All the work on the Tent of Meeting was completed, and the Israelis had crafted it according to everything that the LORD had commanded Moses, as they should have.
They brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its furnishings, clasps, frames, bars, posts, and bases;33They brought to Moses the tent, all its furnishings, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets,
and the coverings of ram skins dyed red, the covering of fine leather, and the protecting curtain;34the covering of ram skins dyed red, the covering of dolphin skins, the curtain,
the ark of the testimony and its poles, and the atonement lid;35the Ark of the Testimony and its poles, the Mercy Seat,
the table, all its utensils, and the Bread of the Presence;36the table and all its utensils, the bread of the presence,
the pure lampstand, its lamps, with the lamps set in order, and all its accessories, and oil for the light;37the lamp stand of pure gold, its lamps (with the lamps in order), its furnishings, its oil for lighting,
and the gold altar, and the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense; and the curtain for the entrance to the tent;38the altar of gold, anointing oil, aromatic incense, the screen for the doorway to the tent,
the bronze altar and its bronze grating, its poles, and all its utensils; the large basin with its pedestal;39the bronze altar and the bronze lattice for it, its poles, all its furnishings, the basin and its base,
the hangings of the courtyard, its posts and its bases, and the curtain for the gateway of the courtyard, its ropes and its tent pegs, and all the furnishings for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting;40the hangings for the court, its pillars, its sockets, the screen for the gate of the court, its cords, its pegs, all the furnishings for the service of the tent, for the Tent of Meeting,
the woven garments for serving in the sanctuary, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments for his sons to minister as priests. 41the woven garments for Aaron the priest for ministering in the Holy Place, and the garments for his sons for serving as priests.
The Israelites did all the work according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses.42The Israelis had done all the work according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses.
Moses inspected all the work--and they had done it just as the LORD had commanded--they had done it exactly--and Moses blessed them. 43Moses blessed them when he saw all the work and that they had completed it. They had done it just as the LORD had commanded.
