| 1Meanwhile, when many thousands of the crowd had gathered so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. | 1In these circumstances, a crowd of many thousands came together, so that they were trampling on one another. He began to say to His disciples first: "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. |
| 2Nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing is secret that will not be made known. | 2There is nothing covered that won't be uncovered, nothing hidden that won't be made known. |

| 46then the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not foresee, and will cut him in two, and assign him a place with the unfaithful. | 46that slave's master will come on a day he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know. | 47That servant who knew his master's will but did not get ready or do what his master asked will receive a severe beating. | 47And that slave who knew his master's will and didn't prepare himself or do it will be severely beaten. |
| 48But the one who did not know his master's will and did things worthy of punishment will receive a light beating.
