Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker--one clay pot among many. Does the clay ask the potter, 'What are you making?' Does your work say, 'He has no hands'?

Are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?
If He snatches away, who can hinder Him? Who can say to Him, 'What are You doing?'
For he has stretched out his hand against God and has vaunted himself against the Almighty,
Why do you contend with Him that He answers nothing a man asks?
"Will the faultfinder contend with the Almighty? Let him who argues with God give an answer."
Would you really annul My justice? Would you condemn Me to justify yourself?
Do you have an arm like God's? Can you thunder with a voice like His?
The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together, against the LORD and against His Anointed One:
No wisdom, no understanding, and no counsel can prevail against the LORD.
Whatever exists was named long ago, and what happens to a man is foreknown; but he cannot contend with one stronger than he.
Does an ax raise itself above the one who swings it? Does a saw boast over him who saws with it? It would be like a staff waving the one who lifts it! It would be like a staff lifting him who is not wood!
You have turned things upside down, as if the potter were regarded as clay. Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, "He did not make me"? Can the pottery say of the potter, "He has no understanding"?
Woe to him who says to his father, 'What have you begotten?' or to his mother, 'What have you brought forth?'
But now, O LORD, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You are the potter; we are all the work of Your hand.
"O house of Israel, can I not treat you as this potter treats his clay? declares the LORD. Just like clay in the potter's hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.
You are to proclaim concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah that this is what the LORD says: You have burned the scroll and said, 'Why have you written on it that the king of Babylon would surely come and destroy this land and deprive it of man and beast?'
I laid a snare for you, O Babylon, and you were caught before you knew it. You were found and captured because you challenged the LORD.
All the peoples of the earth are counted as nothing, and He does as He pleases with the army of heaven and the peoples of the earth. There is no one who can restrain His hand or say to Him, 'What have You done?'"
