So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and told him, "This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: 'How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, so that they may worship Me.
and I acted with hostility toward them and brought them into the land of their enemies--and if their uncircumcised hearts will be humbled and they will make amends for their iniquity,
1 Kings 21:29

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.
Brothers, as an example of patience in affliction, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.
But I know that the king of Egypt will not allow you to go unless a mighty hand compels him.
But Moses entreated the LORD his God, saying, "O LORD, why does Your anger burn against Your people, whom You brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand?
Mighty is Your arm, strong is Your hand; Your right hand is exalted.
1 Corinthians 10:22
Are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?
Behold, God is exalted in His power. Who is a teacher like Him?
"All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous will be exalted."

For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
He has brought down rulers from their thrones, but has exalted the humble.
James 1:9, 10
The brother in humble circumstances should exult in his high position. . . .
