Moreover, from the blue and purple and scarlet material, they made finely woven garments for ministering in the holy place as well as the holy garments which were for Aaron, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.1They made specially woven garments for ministry in the sanctuary, and the holy garments for Aaron from the blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
He made the ephod of gold, and of blue and purple and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen.2Bezalel made the ephod of gold, of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and of finely spun linen.
Then they hammered out gold sheets and cut them into threads to be woven in with the blue and the purple and the scarlet material, and the fine linen, the work of a skillful workman.3They hammered out thin sheets of gold, and he cut threads from them to interweave with the blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and the fine linen in a skillful design.
They made attaching shoulder pieces for the ephod; it was attached at its two upper ends.4They made shoulder pieces for attaching it; it was joined together at its two edges.
The skillfully woven band which was on it was like its workmanship, of the same material: of gold and of blue and purple and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.5The artistically woven waistband that was on the ephod was of one piece with the ephod, according to the same workmanship of gold, of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and of finely spun linen, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
They made the onyx stones, set in gold filigree settings; they were engraved like the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel.6Then they mounted the onyx stones surrounded with gold filigree settings, engraved with the names of Israel's sons as a gem cutter engraves a seal.
And he placed them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.7He fastened them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the Israelites, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
He made the breastpiece, the work of a skillful workman, like the workmanship of the ephod: of gold and of blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen.8He also made the embroidered breastpiece with the same workmanship as the ephod of gold, of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and of finely spun linen.
It was square; they made the breastpiece folded double, a span long and a span wide when folded double.9They made the breastpiece square and folded double, nine inches long and nine inches wide.
And they mounted four rows of stones on it. The first row was a row of ruby, topaz, and emerald;10They mounted four rows of gemstones on it. The first row was a row of carnelian, topaz, and emerald;
and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire and a diamond;11the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond;
and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;12the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;
and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were set in gold filigree settings when they were mounted.13and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were surrounded with gold filigree in their settings.
The stones were corresponding to the names of the sons of Israel; they were twelve, corresponding to their names, engraved with the engravings of a signet, each with its name for the twelve tribes.14The 12 stones corresponded to the names of Israel's sons. Each stone was engraved like a seal with one of the names of the 12 tribes.
They made on the breastpiece chains like cords, of twisted cordage work in pure gold.15They made braided chains of pure gold cord for the breastpiece.
They made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastpiece.16They also fashioned two gold filigree settings and two gold rings and attached the two rings to its two corners.
Then they put the two gold cords in the two rings at the ends of the breastpiece.17Then they attached the two gold cords to the two gold rings on the corners of the breastpiece.
They put the other two ends of the two cords on the two filigree settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front of it.18They attached the other ends of the two cords to the two filigree settings and, in this way, attached them to the ephod's shoulder pieces in front.
They made two gold rings and placed them on the two ends of the breastpiece, on its inner edge which was next to the ephod.19They made two other gold rings and put them at the two other corners of the breastpiece on the edge that is next to the inner border of the ephod.
Furthermore, they made two gold rings and placed them on the bottom of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, on the front of it, close to the place where it joined, above the woven band of the ephod.20They made two more gold rings and attached them to the bottom of the ephod's two shoulder pieces on its front, close to its seam, above the ephod's woven waistband.
They bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord, so that it would be on the woven band of the ephod, and that the breastpiece would not come loose from the ephod, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.21Then they tied the breastpiece from its rings to the rings of the ephod with a cord of blue yarn, so that the breastpiece was above the ephod's waistband and did not come loose from the ephod. They did just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Then he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue;22They made the woven robe of the ephod entirely of blue yarn.
and the opening of the robe was at the top in the center, as the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding all around its opening, so that it would not be torn.23There was an opening in the center of the robe like that of body armor with a collar around the opening so that it would not tear.
They made pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet material and twisted linen on the hem of the robe.24They made pomegranates of finely spun blue, purple, and scarlet yarn on the lower hem of the robe.
They also made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates all around on the hem of the robe,25They made bells of pure gold and attached the bells between the pomegranates, all around the hem of the robe between the pomegranates,
alternating a bell and a pomegranate all around on the hem of the robe for the service, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.26a bell and a pomegranate alternating all around the lower hem of the robe to be worn for ministry. They made it just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
They made the tunics of finely woven linen for Aaron and his sons,27They made the tunics of fine woven linen for Aaron and his sons.
and the turban of fine linen, and the decorated caps of fine linen, and the linen breeches of fine twisted linen,28They also made the turban and the ornate headbands of fine linen, the undergarments,
and the sash of fine twisted linen, and blue and purple and scarlet material, the work of the weaver, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.29and the sash of finely spun linen of embroidered blue, purple, and scarlet yarn. They did just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and inscribed it like the engravings of a signet, "Holy to the LORD."30They also made a medallion, the holy diadem, out of pure gold and wrote on it an inscription like the engraving on a seal: HOLY TO THE LORD.
They fastened a blue cord to it, to fasten it on the turban above, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.31Then they attached a cord of blue yarn to it in order to mount it on the turban, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was completed; and the sons of Israel did according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses; so they did.32So all the work for the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, was finished. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
They brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its furnishings: its clasps, its boards, its bars, and its pillars and its sockets;33Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses: the tent with all its furnishings, its clasps, its planks, its crossbars, and its posts and bases;
and the covering of rams' skins dyed red, and the covering of porpoise skins, and the screening veil;34the covering of ram skins dyed red and the covering of manatee skins; the veil for the screen;
the ark of the testimony and its poles and the mercy seat;35the ark of the testimony with its poles and the mercy seat;
the table, all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence;36the table, all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence;
the pure gold lampstand, with its arrangement of lamps and all its utensils, and the oil for the light;37the pure gold lampstand, with its lamps arranged and all its utensils, as well as the oil for the light;
and the gold altar, and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the veil for the doorway of the tent;38the gold altar; the anointing oil; the fragrant incense; the screen for the entrance to the tent;
the bronze altar and its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils, the laver and its stand;39the bronze altar with its bronze grate, its poles, and all its utensils; the basin with its stand;
the hangings for the court, its pillars and its sockets, and the screen for the gate of the court, its cords and its pegs and all the equipment for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting;40the hangings of the courtyard, its posts and bases, the screen for the gate of the courtyard, its ropes and tent pegs, and all the equipment for the service of the tabernacle, the tent of meeting;
the woven garments for ministering in the holy place and the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests.41and the specially woven garments for ministering in the sanctuary, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons to serve as priests.
So the sons of Israel did all the work according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses.42The Israelites had done all the work according to everything the LORD had commanded Moses.
And Moses examined all the work and behold, they had done it; just as the LORD had commanded, this they had done. So Moses blessed them.43Moses inspected all the work they had accomplished. They had done just as the LORD commanded. Then Moses blessed them.
