New American Standard Bible 1995Berean Study Bible
'Now this is the law of the guilt offering; it is most holy.1“Now this is the law of the guilt offering, which is most holy:
'In the place where they slay the burnt offering they are to slay the guilt offering, and he shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar.2The guilt offering must be slaughtered in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered, and the priest shall sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar.
'Then he shall offer from it all its fat: the fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails,3And all the fat from it shall be offered: the fat tail, the fat that covers the entrails,
and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the lobe on the liver he shall remove with the kidneys.4both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which is to be removed with the kidneys.
'The priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar as an offering by fire to the LORD; it is a guilt offering.5The priest shall burn them on the altar as an offering made by fire to the LORD; it is a guilt offering.
'Every male among the priests may eat of it. It shall be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy.6Every male among the priests may eat of it. It must be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy.
'The guilt offering is like the sin offering, there is one law for them; the priest who makes atonement with it shall have it.7The guilt offering is like the sin offering; the same law applies to both. It belongs to the priest who makes atonement with it.
'Also the priest who presents any man's burnt offering, that priest shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering which he has presented.8As for the priest who presents a burnt offering for anyone, the hide of that offering belongs to him.
'Likewise, every grain offering that is baked in the oven and everything prepared in a pan or on a griddle shall belong to the priest who presents it.9Likewise, every grain offering that is baked in an oven or cooked in a pan or on a griddle belongs to the priest who presents it,
'Every grain offering, mixed with oil or dry, shall belong to all the sons of Aaron, to all alike.10and every grain offering, whether dry or mixed with oil, belongs equally to all the sons of Aaron.
'Now this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings which shall be presented to the LORD.11Now this is the law of the peace offering that one may present to the LORD:
If he offers it by way of thanksgiving, then along with the sacrifice of thanksgiving he shall offer unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil, and cakes of well stirred fine flour mixed with oil.12If he offers it in thanksgiving, then along with the sacrifice of thanksgiving he shall offer unleavened cakes mixed with olive oil, unleavened wafers coated with oil, and well-kneaded cakes of fine flour mixed with oil.
'With the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving, he shall present his offering with cakes of leavened bread.13Along with his peace offering of thanksgiving he is to present an offering with cakes of leavened bread.
'Of this he shall present one of every offering as a contribution to the LORD; it shall belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings.14From the cakes he must present one portion of each offering as a contribution to the LORD. It belongs to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offering.
Now as for the flesh of the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offerings, it shall be eaten on the day of his offering; he shall not leave any of it over until morning.15The meat of the sacrifice of his peace offering of thanksgiving must be eaten on the day he offers it; none of it may be left until morning.
'But if the sacrifice of his offering is a votive or a freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day that he offers his sacrifice, and on the next day what is left of it may be eaten;16If, however, the sacrifice he offers is a vow or a freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day he presents his sacrifice, but the remainder may be eaten on the next day.
but what is left over from the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned with fire.17But any meat of the sacrifice remaining until the third day must be burned up.
So if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings should ever be eaten on the third day, he who offers it will not be accepted, and it will not be reckoned to his benefit. It shall be an offensive thing, and the person who eats of it will bear his own iniquity.18If any of the meat from his peace offering is eaten on the third day, it will not be accepted. It will not be credited to the one who presented it; it shall be an abomination, and the one who eats of it shall bear his iniquity.
Also the flesh that touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with fire. As for other flesh, anyone who is clean may eat such flesh.19Meat that touches anything unclean must not be eaten; it is to be burned up. As for any other meat, anyone who is ceremonially clean may eat it.
'But the person who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to the LORD, in his uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from his people.20But if anyone who is unclean eats meat from the peace offering that belongs to the LORD, that person must be cut off from his people.
'When anyone touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness, or an unclean animal, or any unclean detestable thing, and eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to the LORD, that person shall be cut off from his people.'"21If one touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness, an unclean animal, or any unclean, detestable thing, and then eats any of the meat of the peace offering that belongs to the LORD, that person must be cut off from his people.”
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,22Then the LORD said to Moses,
"Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'You shall not eat any fat from an ox, a sheep or a goat.23“Speak to the Israelites and say, ‘You are not to eat any of the fat of an ox, a sheep, or a goat.
Also the fat of an animal which dies and the fat of an animal torn by beasts may be put to any other use, but you must certainly not eat it.24The fat of an animal found dead or mauled by wild beasts may be used for any other purpose, but you must not eat it.
'For whoever eats the fat of the animal from which an offering by fire is offered to the LORD, even the person who eats shall be cut off from his people.25If anyone eats the fat of an animal from which an offering made by fire may be presented to the LORD, the one who eats it must be cut off from his people.
'You are not to eat any blood, either of bird or animal, in any of your dwellings.26You must not eat the blood of any bird or animal in any of your dwellings.
'Any person who eats any blood, even that person shall be cut off from his people.'"27If anyone eats blood, that person must be cut off from his people.’ ”
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,28Then the LORD said to Moses,
"Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'He who offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings to the LORD shall bring his offering to the LORD from the sacrifice of his peace offerings.29“Speak to the Israelites and say, ‘Anyone who presents a peace offering to the LORD must bring it as his sacrifice to the LORD.
'His own hands are to bring offerings by fire to the LORD. He shall bring the fat with the breast, that the breast may be presented as a wave offering before the LORD.30With his own hands he is to bring the offerings made by fire to the LORD; he shall bring the fat, together with the breast, and wave the breast as a wave offering before the LORD.
'The priest shall offer up the fat in smoke on the altar, but the breast shall belong to Aaron and his sons.31The priest is to burn the fat on the altar, but the breast belongs to Aaron and his sons.
'You shall give the right thigh to the priest as a contribution from the sacrifices of your peace offerings.32And you are to give the right thigh to the priest as a contribution from your peace offering.
The one among the sons of Aaron who offers the blood of the peace offerings and the fat, the right thigh shall be his as his portion.33The son of Aaron who presents the blood and fat of the peace offering shall have the right thigh as a portion.
For I have taken the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the contribution from the sons of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons as their due forever from the sons of Israel.34I have taken from the sons of Israel the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the contribution of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and his sons as a permanent portion from the sons of Israel.’ ”
'This is that which is consecrated to Aaron and that which is consecrated to his sons from the offerings by fire to the LORD, in that day when he presented them to serve as priests to the LORD.35This is the portion of the offerings made by fire to the LORD for Aaron and his sons since the day they were presented to serve the LORD as priests.
These the LORD had commanded to be given them from the sons of Israel in the day that He anointed them. It is their due forever throughout their generations.'"36On the day they were anointed, the LORD commanded that this be given them by the sons of Israel. It is a permanent portion for the generations to come.
This is the law of the burnt offering, the grain offering and the sin offering and the guilt offering and the ordination offering and the sacrifice of peace offerings,37This is the law of the burnt offering, the grain offering, the sin offering, the guilt offering, the ordination offering, and the peace offering,
which the LORD commanded Moses at Mount Sinai in the day that He commanded the sons of Israel to present their offerings to the LORD in the wilderness of Sinai.38which the LORD gave Moses on Mount Sinai on the day He commanded the Israelites to present their offerings to the LORD in the Wilderness of Sinai.
