Awaken, awaken, put on strength, O arm of the LORD. Wake up as in days past, as in generations of long ago. Was it not You who cut Rahab to pieces, who pierced through the dragon?

Or has any god tried to take as his own a nation out of another nation--by trials, signs, wonders, and war, by a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and by great terrors--as the LORD your God did for you in Egypt, before your eyes?
God does not restrain His anger; the helpers of Rahab cower beneath Him.
By His power He stilled the sea, and by His understanding He shattered Rahab.
We have heard with our ears, O God; our fathers have told us the work You did in their days, in days of long ago.
You divided the sea by Your strength; You smashed the heads of the dragons of the sea;
I considered days of old, years long in the past.
You crushed Rahab like a carcass; You scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.
The LORD reigns! He is robed in majesty; The LORD has clothed and armed Himself with strength. The world indeed is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
In that day the LORD will take His sharp, great, and mighty sword, and bring judgment on Leviathan, the fleeing serpent--Leviathan, the coiling serpent--and He will slay the dragon of the sea.
Egypt's help is vain and empty; therefore I have called her, 'Rahab Who Just Sits Still.'
Awaken, awaken! Rise up, O Jerusalem, you who have drunk from the hand of the LORD the cup of His fury; you who have drained the goblet to the dregs, the cup that makes men stagger.
Awaken, awaken, clothe yourself with strength, O Zion! Put on your garments of splendor, O Jerusalem, Holy City! For the uncircumcised and unclean will not again enter you.
The LORD has bared His holy arm in the sight of all the nations; all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.
Be silent before the LORD, all people, for He has roused Himself from His holy dwelling."
They will pass through the sea of distress and strike the waves of the sea; all the depths of the Nile will dry up. The pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will depart.
