How then can they call on the One in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?
He valued disgrace for Christ above the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to his reward.
After these events, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward."
May the LORD repay your work, and may you receive a rich reward from the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have taken refuge."
Then men will say, "There is surely a reward for the righteous! There is surely a God who judges the earth!"
The wicked man earns an empty wage, but he who sows righteousness reaps a true reward.
Rejoice and celebrate, because great is your reward in heaven; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.
