This is the burden of the word of the LORD against the land of Hadrach and Damascus its resting place— for the eyes of men and of all the tribes of Israel are upon the LORD The oracle of the word of the LORD is against the land of Hadrach and Damascus is its resting place. For the LORD has an eye on mankind and on all the tribes of Israel, The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD. The pronouncement of the word of the LORD is against the land of Hadrach, with Damascus as its resting place (for the eyes of mankind, especially of all the tribes of Israel, are toward the LORD), A prophecy: The word of the LORD is against the land of Hadrak and will come to rest on Damascus— for the eyes of all people and all the tribes of Israel are on the LORD—
and also against Hamath, which borders it, as well as Tyre and Sidon, though they are very shrewd. and on Hamath also, which borders on it, Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise. And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise. And Hamath also, which borders on it; Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise. and on Hamath too, which borders on it, and on Tyre and Sidon, though they are very skillful.
Tyre has built herself a fortress; she has heaped up silver like dust, and gold like the dirt of the streets. Tyre has built herself a rampart and heaped up silver like dust, and fine gold like the mud of the streets. And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets. For Tyre built herself a fortress, And piled up silver like dust, And gold like the mud of the streets. Tyre has built herself a stronghold; she has heaped up silver like dust, and gold like the dirt of the streets.
Behold, the Lord will impoverish her and cast her wealth into the sea, and she will be consumed by fire. But behold, the Lord will strip her of her possessions and strike down her power on the sea, and she shall be devoured by fire. Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire. Behold, the Lord will dispossess her And throw her wealth into the sea; And she will be consumed with fire. But the Lord will take away her possessions and destroy her power on the sea, and she will be consumed by fire.
Ashkelon will see and fear; Gaza will writhe in agony, as will Ekron, for her hope will wither. There will cease to be a king in Gaza, and Ashkelon will be uninhabited. Ashkelon shall see it, and be afraid; Gaza too, and shall writhe in anguish; Ekron also, because its hopes are confounded. The king shall perish from Gaza; Ashkelon shall be uninhabited; Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited. Ashkelon will see it and be afraid. Gaza too will writhe in great pain; Also Ekron, because her hope has been ruined. Moreover, the king will perish from Gaza, And Ashkelon will not be inhabited. Ashkelon will see it and fear; Gaza will writhe in agony, and Ekron too, for her hope will wither. Gaza will lose her king and Ashkelon will be deserted.
A mixed race will occupy Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines. a mixed people shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of Philistia. And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines. And a people of mixed origins will live in Ashdod, And I will eliminate the pride of the Philistines. A mongrel people will occupy Ashdod, and I will put an end to the pride of the Philistines.
I will remove the blood from their mouths and the abominations from between their teeth. Then they too will become a remnant for our God; they will become like a clan in Judah, and Ekron will be like the Jebusites. I will take away its blood from its mouth, and its abominations from between its teeth; it too shall be a remnant for our God; it shall be like a clan in Judah, and Ekron shall be like the Jebusites. And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite. And I will remove their blood from their mouth And their detestable things from between their teeth. Then they also will be a remnant for our God, And be like a clan in Judah, And Ekron will be like a Jebusite. I will take the blood from their mouths, the forbidden food from between their teeth. Those who are left will belong to our God and become a clan in Judah, and Ekron will be like the Jebusites.
But I will camp around My house because of an army, because of those who march to and fro, and never again will an oppressor overrun My people, for now I keep watch with My own eyes. Then I will encamp at my house as a guard, so that none shall march to and fro; no oppressor shall again march over them, for now I see with my own eyes. And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes. But I will camp around My house because of an army, Because of him who passes by and returns; And no oppressor will pass over them anymore, For now I have seen with My eyes. But I will encamp at my temple to guard it against marauding forces. Never again will an oppressor overrun my people, for now I am keeping watch.

As for you also, because of the blood of My covenant with you, I have set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit.

For I will bend Judah as My bow and fit it with Ephraim. I will rouse your sons, O Zion, against the sons of Greece. I will make you like the sword of a mighty man. For I have bent Judah as my bow; I have made Ephraim its arrow. I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and wield you like a warrior’s sword. When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man. For I will bend Judah as My bow, I will fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will stir up your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece; And I will make you like a warrior’s sword. I will bend Judah as I bend my bow and fill it with Ephraim. I will rouse your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and make you like a warrior’s sword.
Then the LORD will appear over them, and His arrow will go forth like lightning. The Lord GOD will sound the ram’s horn and advance in the whirlwinds of the south. Then the LORD will appear over them, and his arrow will go forth like lightning; the Lord GOD will sound the trumpet and will march forth in the whirlwinds of the south. And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. 15 The LORD of Hosts will shield them. They will destroy and conquer with slingstones; they will drink and roar as with wine. And they will be filled like sprinkling bowls, drenched like the corners of the altar. The LORD of hosts will protect them, and they shall devour, and tread down the sling stones, and they shall drink and roar as if drunk with wine, and be full like a bowl, drenched like the corners of the altar. The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar. The LORD of armies will protect them. And they will devour and trample on the slingstones; And they will drink and be boisterous as with wine; And they will be filled like a sacrificial basin, Drenched like the corners of the altar. and the LORD Almighty will shield them. On that day the LORD their God will save them, as the flock of his people; for like the jewels of a crown they shall shine on his land. And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land. And the LORD their God will save them on that day As the flock of His people; For they are like the precious stones of a crown, Sparkling on His land. The LORD their God will save his people on that day as a shepherd saves his flock. They will sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown.
How lovely they will be, and how beautiful! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine, the young women. For how great is his goodness, and how great his beauty!
