PRAISE the Lord. O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his mercy endures for ever. Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can show forth all his praise? Who can utter the mighty deeds of the LORD, or declare all his praise? Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the LORD or fully declare his praise?
Blessed are they that keep his judgments, and they that do righteousness at all times. Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times! Blessed are those who act justly, who always do what is right.
Remember us, O LORD, with the favor that thou bearest to thy people; O visit us with thy salvation, Remember me, O LORD, when you show favor to your people; help me when you save them, Remember me, LORD, when you show favor to your people, come to my aid when you save them,
That we may see the good of thy chosen, that we may rejoice in thy joy, and be glorified with thine inheritance. that I may look upon the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance. that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may share in the joy of your nation and join your inheritance in giving praise.
We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly. Both we and our fathers have sinned; we have committed iniquity; we have done wickedness. We have sinned, even as our ancestors did; we have done wrong and acted wickedly.
Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red Sea. Our fathers, when they were in Egypt, did not consider your wondrous works; they did not remember the abundance of your steadfast love, but rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea. When our ancestors were in Egypt, they gave no thought to your miracles; they did not remember your many kindnesses, and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea.
Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known. Yet he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make known his mighty power. Yet he saved them for his name’s sake, to make his mighty power known.
He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness. He rebuked the Red Sea, and it became dry, and he led them through the deep as through a desert. He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; he led them through the depths as through a desert.
And he saved them from the hand of the enemy and delivered them from the hand of the oppressor. So he saved them from the hand of the foe and redeemed them from the power of the enemy. He saved them from the hand of the foe; from the hand of the enemy he redeemed them.
And the waters covered their enemies; there was not one of them left. And the waters covered their adversaries; not one of them was left. The waters covered their adversaries; not one of them survived.
Then believed they his words; they sang his praise. Then they believed his words; they sang his praise. Then they believed his promises and sang his praise.
But they soon forgot God; they trusted not in his counsel, But they soon forgot his works; they did not wait for his counsel. But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold.
But craved exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert. But they had a wanton craving in the wilderness, and put God to the test in the desert; In the desert they gave in to their craving; in the wilderness they put God to the test.
And he gave them their request; and he supplied them with abundance. he gave them what they asked, but sent a wasting disease among them. So he gave them what they asked for, but sent a wasting disease among them.
They plotted against Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD. When men in the camp were jealous of Moses and Aaron, the holy one of the LORD, In the camp they grew envious of Moses and of Aaron, who was consecrated to the LORD.
The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram. the earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram. The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; it buried the company of Abiram.
And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked. Fire also broke out in their company; the flame burned up the wicked. Fire blazed among their followers; a flame consumed the wicked.
They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image. They made a calf in Horeb and worshiped a metal image. At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped an idol cast from metal.
Thus they changed their Glorious One into the likeness of an ox that eats grass. They exchanged the glory of God for the image of an ox that eats grass. They exchanged their glorious God for an image of a bull, which eats grass.
They forgot God their Saviour, who had done great things in Egypt, They forgot God, their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt, They forgot the God who saved them, who had done great things in Egypt,
Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red Sea. wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the Red Sea. miracles in the land of Ham and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.
Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them. Therefore he said he would destroy them— had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him, to turn away his wrath from destroying them. So he said he would destroy them— had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him to keep his wrath from destroying them.
Yea, they despised the desired land, they believed not his word, Then they despised the pleasant land, having no faith in his promise. Then they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe his promise.
But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not to the voice of the LORD. They murmured in their tents, and did not obey the voice of the LORD. They grumbled in their tents and did not obey the LORD.
Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to scatter them among the Gentiles, Therefore he raised his hand and swore to them that he would make them fall in the wilderness, So he swore to them with uplifted hand that he would make them fall in the wilderness,
To scatter their descendants also among the nations, and to lose them in the lands. and would make their offspring fall among the nations, scattering them among the lands. make their descendants fall among the nations and scatter them throughout the lands.
They worshipped also the idols of Baal-peor, and ate sacrifices offered for the dead. Then they yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor, and ate sacrifices offered to the dead; They yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods;
Thus they provoked him to anger with their acts; they made him angry with their images, and the plague came upon them suddenly. they provoked the LORD to anger with their deeds, and a plague broke out among them. they aroused the LORD’s anger by their wicked deeds, and a plague broke out among them.
Then Phinehas stood up and prayed, and so the plague was stopped. Then Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was stayed. But Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was checked.
And that was counted to him for a victory to all generations for evermore. And that was counted to him as righteousness from generation to generation forever. This was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.
They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes, They angered him at the waters of Meribah, and it went ill with Moses on their account, By the waters of Meribah they angered the LORD, and trouble came to Moses because of them;
Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spoke unadvisedly with his lips. for they made his spirit bitter, and he spoke rashly with his lips. for they rebelled against the Spirit of God, and rash words came from Moses’ lips.
And they did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them; They did not destroy the peoples, as the LORD commanded them, They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them,
But they were mingled among the Gentiles, and learned their works. but they mixed with the nations and learned to do as they did. but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.
And they served their idols, which were a snare to them. They served their idols, which became a snare to them. They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.
Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons, They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons; They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to false gods.
And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood. they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood. They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood.
Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went awhoring with their own inventions. Thus they became unclean by their acts, and played the whore in their deeds. They defiled themselves by what they did; by their deeds they prostituted themselves.
Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance. Then the anger of the LORD was kindled against his people, and he abhorred his heritage; Therefore the LORD was angry with his people and abhorred his inheritance.
And he gave them into the hand of the Gentiles; and they that hated them ruled over them. he gave them into the hand of the nations, so that those who hated them ruled over them. He gave them into the hands of the nations, and their foes ruled over them.
Their enemies also subdued them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand. Their enemies oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their power. Their enemies oppressed them and subjected them to their power.
Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were humbled for their iniquity. Many times he delivered them, but they were rebellious in their purposes and were brought low through their iniquity. Many times he delivered them, but they were bent on rebellion and they wasted away in their sin.
Nevertheless he regarded their affliction and heard their prayer. Nevertheless, he looked upon their distress, when he heard their cry. Yet he took note of their distress when he heard their cry;
And he remembered his covenant, and pitied them, and led them according to the multitude of his mercies. For their sake he remembered his covenant, and relented according to the abundance of his steadfast love. for their sake he remembered his covenant and out of his great love he relented.
He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives. He caused them to be pitied by all those who held them captive. He caused all who held them captive to show them mercy.
Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and be glorified in thine inheritance. Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise. Save us, LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise.
Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting; and let all the people say, Amen and Amen. Praise the LORD. Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, “Amen!” Praise the LORD! Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, “Amen!” Praise the LORD.
