6 She does not consider the path of life; she does not know that her ways are unstable. she does not ponder the path of life; her ways wander, and she does not know it. 9 lest you concede your vigor to others, and your years to one who is cruel; lest you give your honor to others and your years to the merciless, Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel: Otherwise you will give your vigor to others, And your years to the cruel one; lest you lose your honor to others and your dignity to one who is cruel,
10 lest strangers feast on your wealth, and your labors enrich the house of a foreigner. lest strangers take their fill of your strength, and your labors go to the house of a foreigner, Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours <i>be</i> in the house of a stranger; And strangers will be filled with your strength, And your hard-earned possessions <i>will go</i> to the house of a foreigner; lest strangers feast on your wealth and your toil enrich the house of another.
11 At the end of your life you will groan when your flesh and your body are spent, and at the end of your life you groan, when your flesh and body are consumed, And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed, And you will groan in the end, When your flesh and your body are consumed; At the end of your life you will groan, when your flesh and body are spent.

20 Why be captivated, my son, by an adulteress, or embrace the bosom of a stranger? Why should you be intoxicated, my son, with a forbidden woman and embrace the bosom of an adulteress? And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger? For why should you, my son, be exhilarated with an adulteress, And embrace the breasts of a foreigner? Why, my son, be intoxicated with another man’s wife? Why embrace the bosom of a wayward woman?
21 For a man’s ways are before the eyes of the LORD, and the LORD examines all his paths. For a man’s ways are before the eyes of the LORD, and he ponders all his paths. For the ways of man <i>are</i> before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings. For the ways of everyone are before the eyes of the LORD, And He observes all his paths. For your ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all your paths.
22 The iniquities of a wicked man entrap him; the cords of his sin entangle him. The iniquities of the wicked ensnare him, and he is held fast in the cords of his sin. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. His own wrongdoings will trap the wicked, And he will be held by the ropes of his sin. The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast.
23 He dies for lack of discipline, led astray by his own great folly. He dies for lack of discipline, and because of his great folly he is led astray. He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray. He will die for lack of instruction, And in the greatness of his foolishness he will go astray. For lack of discipline they will die, led astray by their own great folly.
