1	Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the sons of Israel, to King Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of YHWH from the City of David, that is, Zion.	Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, before King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.	Then King Solomon summoned into his presence at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the LORD’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.
2	And all the men of Israel assembled with King Solomon at the feast in the month of Ethanim. It is the seventh month.	And all the men of Israel assembled to King Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.	All the Israelites came together to King Solomon at the time of the festival in the month of Ethanim, the seventh month.
3	And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.	And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.	When all the elders of Israel had arrived, the priests took up the ark,
4	And they brought up the ark of YHWH, and the Tent of Meeting, and all the holy furnishings that were in the tabernacle. And the priests and the Levites brought them up.	And they brought up the ark of the LORD, the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the tent; the priests and the Levites brought them up.	and they brought up the ark of the LORD and the tent of meeting and all the sacred furnishings in it. 5	And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel who were assembled with him were with him before the face of the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted or numbered for multitude.	And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who had assembled before him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.	and King Solomon and the entire assembly of Israel that had gathered about him were before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and cattle that they could not be recorded or counted.
6	And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of YHWH to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the Holy of Holies, to under the wings of the cherubim.	Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place in the inner sanctuary of the house, in the Most Holy Place, underneath the wings of the cherubim.	The priests then brought the ark of the LORD’s covenant to its place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, the Most Holy Place, and put it beneath the wings of the cherubim.
7	For the cherubim spread forth two wings toward the place of the ark, and the cherubim and they covered over the ark and its poles from above.	For the cherubim spread out their wings over the place of the ark, so that the cherubim overshadowed the ark and its poles.	The cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark and overshadowed the ark and its carrying poles.
8	And the poles extended so that could be seen the ends of the poles from the Holy Place upon the face of the inner sanctuary, and they could not be seen from outside; and they are there to this day.	And the poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the Holy Place before the inner sanctuary; but they could not be seen from outside. And they are there to this day.	These poles were so long that their ends could be seen from the Holy Place in front of the inner sanctuary, but not from outside the Holy Place; and they are still there today.
9	Nothing was in the ark except the two tablets of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb when YHWH cut with the sons of Israel when they came out of the land of Egypt.	There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets of stone that Moses put there at Horeb, where the LORD made a covenant with the people of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.	There was nothing in the ark except the two stone tablets that Moses had placed in it at Horeb, where the LORD made a covenant with the Israelites after they came out of Egypt.
10	And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the Holy Place, that the cloud filled the house of YHWH,	And when the priests came out of the Holy Place, a cloud filled the house of the LORD,	When the priests withdrew from the Holy Place, the cloud filled the temple of the LORD.
11	so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud; for the glory of YHWH filled the house of YHWH.	so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD.	And the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled his temple.
12	Then spoke Solomon: “YHWH has said He would dwell in the dark cloud.	Then Solomon said, “The LORD has said that he would dwell in thick darkness.	Then Solomon said, “The LORD has said that he would dwell in a dark cloud;
13	I have surely built an exalted house unto You, and a place for You to dwell forever.”	I have indeed built you an exalted house, a place for you to dwell in forever.”	I have indeed built a magnificent temple for you, a place for you to dwell forever.”
14	And the king turned around his face, and he blessed all the assembly of Israel, and all the assembly of Israel was standing.	Then the king turned around and blessed all the assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel stood.	While the whole assembly of Israel was standing there, the king turned around and blessed them.
15	And he said, “Blessed be YHWH, God of Israel, who spoke by his mouth to David my father, and by his hand He has fulfilled it, saying,	And he said, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who with his hand has fulfilled what he promised with his mouth to David my father, saying,	Then he said: “Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, who with his own hand has fulfilled what he promised with his own mouth to my father David. For he said,
16	‘Since the day that I brought My people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city from any tribe of Israel in which to build a house that My Name might be there. And I chose David to be over My people Israel.’	‘Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be there. But I chose David to be over my people Israel.’	Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel to have a temple built so that my Name might be there, but I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.’
17	And it was with the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of YHWH, God of Israel.	Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.	“My father David had it in his heart to build a temple for the Name of the LORD, the God of Israel.
18	And YHWH said to David my father, ‘Because that it was in your heart to build a house for My name, you did well that it was in your heart.	But the LORD said to David my father, ‘Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart.	But the LORD said to my father David, ‘You did well to have it in your heart to build a temple for my Name.
19	Nevertheless, you shall not build the house, but rather your son who will come from your loins, he shall build the house for My Name.’	Nevertheless, you shall not build the house, but your son who shall be born to you shall build the house for my name.’	Nevertheless, you are not the one to build the temple, but your son, your own flesh and blood—he is the one who will build the temple for my Name.’
20	And YHWH has fulfilled His word that He spoke, and I have risen up in the place of David my father and sit on the throne of Israel, as YHWH spoke. And I have built the house for the name of YHWH, God of Israel.	Now the LORD has fulfilled his promise that he made. For I have risen in the place of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and I have built the house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.	“The LORD has kept the promise he made: I have succeeded David my father and now I sit on the throne of Israel, just as the LORD promised, and I have built the temple for the Name of the LORD, the God of Israel.
21	And I have made a place there for the ark, in which there is the covenant of YHWH that He made with our fathers when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.”	And there I have provided a place for the ark, in which is the covenant of the LORD that he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.”	I have provided a place there for the ark, in which is the covenant of the LORD that he made with our ancestors when he brought them out of Egypt.”
22	And Solomon stood before the face of the altar of YHWH in front of all the assembly of Israel, and he spread out his hands toward the heavens.	Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward heaven,	Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the whole assembly of Israel, spread out his hands toward heaven
23	And he said, “O YHWH, God of Israel, there is not a God like You in the heavens above or on earth below, keeping Your covenant and loving devotion with Your servants, those walking before You with all their heart,	and said, “O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above or on earth beneath, keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to your servants who walk before you with all their heart;	and said: “LORD, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below—you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way.
24	who have kept for Your servant David my father what You spoke to him, and You have spoken with Your mouth, and with Your hand You have fulfilled it, as this day.	you have kept with your servant David my father what you declared to him. You spoke with your mouth, and with your hand have fulfilled it this day.	You have kept your promise to your servant David my father; with your mouth you have promised and with your hand you have fulfilled it—as it is today.
25	And now, O YHWH, God of Israel, keep for Your servant David my father what You promised to him, saying, ‘You shall not fail to have a man before My face sitting on the throne of Israel—only if your sons take heed to their way, that they walk before Me as you have walked before Me.’	Now therefore, O LORD, God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father what you have promised him, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your sons pay close attention to their way, to walk before me as you have walked before me.’	“Now LORD, the God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father the promises you made to him when you said, ‘You shall never fail to have a successor to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your descendants are careful in all they do to walk before me faithfully as you have done.’
26	And now, O God of Israel, let be proven faithful, please, Your word, which You have spoken to Your servant David my father.	Now therefore, O God of Israel, let your word be confirmed, which you have spoken to your servant David my father.	And now, God of Israel, let your word that you promised your servant David my father come true.
27	But will indeed God dwell on the earth? Behold, the heavens and the heavens of the heavens cannot contain You. How much less this house that I have built?	“But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built!	“But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!
28	And You have turned to the prayer of Your servant, and his supplication, O YHWH my God, to listen to the cry and the prayer that Your servant is praying before Your face today:	Yet have regard to the prayer of your servant and to his plea, O LORD my God, listening to the cry and to the prayer that your servant prays before you this day,	Yet give attention to your servant’s prayer and his plea for mercy, LORD my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day.
29	That Your eyes may be open toward this house night and day, toward the place of which You said, ‘My name shall be there,’ that You may listen to the prayer that Your servant prays toward this place.	that your eyes may be open night and day toward this house, the place of which you have said, ‘My name shall be there,’ that you may listen to the prayer that your servant offers toward this place.	May your eyes be open toward this temple night and day, this place of which you said, ‘My Name shall be there,’ so that you will hear the prayer your servant prays toward this place.
30	And may You listen to the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel when they pray toward this place. And may You listen in the place of Your dwelling, in the heavens—and You have listened and have forgiven.	And listen to the plea of your servant and of your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. And listen in heaven your dwelling place, and when you hear, forgive.	Hear the supplication of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and when you hear, forgive.
31	When a man sins against his neighbor, and is forced in it to take an oath, and comes and takes an oath before the face of Your altar in this house,	“If a man sins against his neighbor and is made to take an oath and comes and swears his oath before your altar in this house,	“When anyone wrongs their neighbor and is required to take an oath and they come and swear the oath before your altar in this temple,
32	then may You hear in the heavens and act and judge Your servants, condemning the wicked, bringing his way on his head, and justifying the righteous by giving to him according to his righteousness.	then hear in heaven and act and judge your servants, condemning the guilty by bringing his conduct on his own head, and vindicating the righteous by rewarding him according to his righteousness.	then hear from heaven and act. Judge between your servants, condemning the guilty by bringing down on their heads what they have done, and vindicating the innocent by treating them in accordance with their innocence.
33	When Your people Israel are defeated before the face of an enemy because they have sinned against You, and they turn back to You and confess Your name, and they pray and make supplication to You in this house,	“When your people Israel are defeated before the enemy because they have sinned against you, and if they turn again to you and acknowledge your name and pray and plead with you in this house,	“When your people Israel have been defeated by an enemy because they have sinned against you, and when they turn back to you and give praise to your name, praying and making supplication to you in this temple,
34	then may You hear in the heavens and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land that You gave to their fathers.	then hear in heaven and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them again to the land that you gave to their fathers.	then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them back to the land you gave to their ancestors.
35	When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against You, and they pray toward this place and confess Your name, and from their sin they turn back because You afflict them,	“When heaven is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against you, if they pray toward this place and acknowledge your name and turn from their sin, when you afflict them,	“When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because your people have sinned against you, and when they pray toward this place and give praise to your name and turn from their sin because you have afflicted them,
36	then may You hear in the heavens and forgive the sin of Your servants and of Your people Israel, that You may teach them the good way in which they should walk, and May you send rain on Your land that You have given to Your people as an inheritance.	then hear in heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk, and grant rain upon your land, which you have given to your people as an inheritance.	then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel. Teach them the right way to live, and send rain on the land you gave your people for an inheritance.
37	When famine is in the land, if there is pestilence, blight, mildew, locust, or if there is grasshopper; when their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities—whatever plague or whatever sickness—	“If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence or blight or mildew or locust or caterpillar, if their enemy besieges them in the land at their gates, whatever plague, whatever sickness there is,	“When famine or plague comes to the land, or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers, or when an enemy besieges them in any of their cities, whatever disaster or disease may come,
38	whatever prayer, any supplication, whatever is made by any man or by all Your people Israel when knows each one the plague of his own heart and spreads out his hands toward this house,	whatever prayer, whatever plea is made by any man or by all your people Israel, each knowing the affliction of his own heart and stretching out his hands toward this house,	and when a prayer or plea is made by anyone among your people Israel—being aware of the afflictions of their own hearts, and spreading out their hands toward this temple—
39	then may You hear in the heavens, the fixed place of Your dwelling, and forgive and act and give to each man according to all his ways, of whom You know the heart. For You alone know the hearts of all the sons of man,	then hear in heaven your dwelling place and forgive and act and render to each whose heart you know, according to all his ways (for you, you only, know the hearts of all the children of mankind),	then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Forgive and act; deal with everyone according to all they do, since you know their hearts (for you alone know every human heart),
40	that they may fear You all the days that they live on the face of the land that You gave to our fathers.	that they may fear you all the days that they live in the land that you gave to our fathers.	so that they will fear you all the time they live in the land you gave our ancestors.
41	And also concerning a foreigner who is not of Your people Israel, and he has come from a far country for the sake of Your name—	“Likewise, when a foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, comes from a far country for your name’s sake	“As for the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of your name—
42	for they will hear of Your great name and Your mighty hand and Your outstretched arm—and he comes and prays toward this house,	(for they shall hear of your great name and your mighty hand, and of your outstretched arm), when he comes and prays toward this house,	for they will hear of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm—when they come and pray toward this temple,
43	then may You hear in the heavens, the fixed place of Your dwelling, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to You, that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name and fear You as do Your people Israel, that they may know that Your name is called by this house that I have built,	hear in heaven your dwelling place and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to you, in order that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your people Israel, and that they may know that this house that I have built is called by your name.	then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Do whatever the foreigner asks of you, so that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel, and may know that this house I have built bears your Name.
44	when Your people go out to battle against their enemy in the way that You send them, and they pray to YHWH in the way of the city that You have chosen, and the house that I have built for Your name,	“If your people go out to battle against their enemy, by whatever way you shall send them, and they pray to the LORD toward the city that you have chosen and the house that I have built for your name,	“When your people go to war against their enemies, wherever you send them, and when they pray to the LORD toward the city you have chosen and the temple I have built for your Name,
45	then may You hear in the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.	then hear in heaven their prayer and their plea, and maintain their cause.	then hear from heaven their prayer and their plea, and uphold their cause.
46	When they sin against You (for there is no one who does not sin) and You become angry with them and deliver them before the face of the enemy, and they have taken captive their captivity to the land of the enemy far or near,	“If they sin against you—for there is no one who does not sin—and you are angry with them and give them to an enemy, so that they are carried away captive to the land of the enemy, far off or near,	“When they sin against you—for there is no one who does not sin—and you become angry with them and give them over to their enemies, who take them captive to their own lands, far away or near;
47	and they have turned it back to their heart in the land where they were carried captive there, and they turn back and make supplication to You in the land of those who took them captive, saying, ‘We have sinned and done wrong; we have acted wickedly,’	yet if they turn their heart in the land to which they have been carried captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captors, saying, ‘We have sinned and have acted perversely and wickedly,’	and if they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captors and say, ‘We have sinned, we have done wrong, we have acted wickedly’;
48	and they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who led them away captive, and they pray to You toward their land that You gave to their fathers, the city that You have chosen, and the house that I have built for Your name,	if they repent with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies, who carried them captive, and pray to you toward their land, which you gave to their fathers, the city that you have chosen, and the house that I have built for your name,	and if they turn back to you with all their heart and soul in the land of their enemies who took them captive, and pray to you toward the land you gave their ancestors, toward the city you have chosen and the temple I have built for your Name;
49	then may You hear in the heavens, the fixed place of Your dwelling, their prayer and their supplication, and may You do their justice	then hear in heaven your dwelling place their prayer and their plea, and maintain their cause	then from heaven, your dwelling place, hear their prayer and their plea, and uphold their cause.
50	and forgive Your people who have sinned against You, and all their transgressions that they have transgressed against You, and may You grant them compassion before the face of those who took them captive, that they may have compassion on them.	and forgive your people who have sinned against you, and all their transgressions that they have committed against you, and grant them compassion in the sight of those who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them	And forgive your people, who have sinned against you; forgive all the offenses they have committed against you, and cause their captors to show them mercy;
51	For they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out of Egypt, out of the midst of the furnace of iron,	(for they are your people, and your heritage, which you brought out of Egypt, from the midst of the iron furnace).	for they are your people and your inheritance, whom you brought out of Egypt, out of that iron-smelting furnace.
52	that Your eyes may be open to the supplication of Your servant and the supplication of Your people Israel, to listen to them whenever they call to You.	Let your eyes be open to the plea of your servant and to the plea of your people Israel, giving ear to them whenever they call to you.	“May your eyes be open to your servant’s plea and to the plea of your people Israel, and may you listen to them whenever they cry out to you.
53	For You have set them apart to Yourself as an inheritance from among all the peoples of the earth, as You spoke by Moses Your servant when You brought our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord YHWH.”	For you separated them from among all the peoples of the earth to be your heritage, as you declared through Moses your servant, when you brought our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.”	For you singled them out from all the nations of the world to be your own inheritance, just as you declared through your servant Moses when you, Sovereign LORD, brought our ancestors out of Egypt.”
54	And so it was, when Solomon had finished praying to YHWH all this prayer and supplication, that he arose from before the altar of YHWH, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to the heavens,	Now as Solomon finished offering all this prayer and plea to the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, where he had knelt with hands outstretched toward heaven.	When Solomon had finished all these prayers and supplications to the LORD, he rose from before the altar of the LORD, where he had been kneeling with his hands spread out toward heaven.
55	and he stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel in a loud voice, saying:	And he stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying,	He stood and blessed the whole assembly of Israel in a loud voice, saying:
56	“Blessed be YHWH, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised; not one word has fallen of all His good promise that He promised by the hand of Moses His servant.	“Blessed be the LORD who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant.	“Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.
57	May YHWH our God be with us as He was with our fathers; may He not leave us and not forsake us,	The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us,	May the LORD our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us nor forsake us.
58	that He may incline our hearts to Himself to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His ordinances that He commanded our fathers.	that he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his rules, which he commanded our fathers.	May he turn our hearts to him, to walk in obedience to him and keep the commands, decrees and laws he gave our ancestors.
59	And may these my words with which I have made supplication before the face of YHWH, be near unto YHWH our God day and night, that He may maintain the cause of His servant and the cause of His people Israel, the word of a day in its day,	Let these words of mine, with which I have pleaded before the LORD, be near to the LORD our God day and night, and may he maintain the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel, as each day requires,	And may these words of mine, which I have prayed before the LORD, be near to the LORD our God day and night, that he may uphold the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel according to each day’s need,
60	that all the peoples of the earth may know that YHWH is God; there is no other.	that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no other.	so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God and that there is no other.
61	And let your⁺ heart be complete to YHWH our God, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day.”	Let your heart therefore be wholly true to the LORD our God, walking in his statutes and keeping his commandments, as at this day.”	And may your hearts be fully committed to the LORD our God, to live by his decrees and obey his commands, as at this time.”
62	And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifices before the face of YHWH.	Then the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before the LORD.	Then the king and all Israel with him offered sacrifices before the LORD.
63	And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings that he offered to YHWH, twenty-two thousand bulls, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. And the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the house of YHWH.	Solomon offered as peace offerings to the LORD 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep. So the king and all the people of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.	Solomon offered a sacrifice of fellowship offerings to the LORD: twenty-two thousand cattle and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep and goats. So the king and all the Israelites dedicated the temple of the LORD.
64	On that day the king consecrated the middle of the court that was in front of the house of YHWH, for he offered there the burnt offerings and the grain offerings and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar that was before YHWH was too small to receive the burnt offerings and the grain offerings and the fat of the peace offerings.	The same day the king consecrated the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD, for there he offered the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat pieces of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar that was before the LORD was too small to receive the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat pieces of the peace offerings.	On that same day the king consecrated the middle part of the courtyard in front of the temple of the LORD, and there he offered burnt offerings, grain offerings and the fat of the fellowship offerings, because the bronze altar that stood before the LORD was too small to hold the burnt offerings, the grain offerings and the fat of the fellowship offerings.
65	And Solomon made at that time a feast, and all Israel with him—a great assembly—from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt, before the face of YHWH our God, seven days and seven days—fourteen days.	So Solomon held the feast at that time, and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from Lebo-hamath to the Brook of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days.	So Solomon observed the festival at that time, and all Israel with him—a vast assembly, people from Lebo Hamath to the Wadi of Egypt. They celebrated it before the LORD our God for seven days and seven days more, fourteen days in all.
66	On the fifteenth day he sent away the people, and they blessed the king and went to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for all the good that YHWH had done for David His servant and for Israel His people.	On the eighth day he sent the people away, and they blessed the king and went to their homes joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had shown to David his servant and to Israel his people.	On the following day he sent the people away. They blessed the king and then went home, joyful and glad in heart for all the good things the LORD had done for his servant David and his people Israel.
