The Waters of Marah

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
22Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water.22Then Moses made Israel set out from the Red Sea, and they went into the wilderness of Shur. They went three days in the wilderness and found no water.22Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.22So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.22Then Moses led Israel on from the Red Sea, and they went out to the Wilderness of Shur. They journeyed for three days in the wilderness without finding water.
23When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.)23When they came to Marah, they could not drink the water of Marah because it was bitter; therefore it was named Marah.23When they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter; therefore it was named Marah.23And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.23They came to Marah, but they could not drink the water at Marah because it was bitter--that is why it was named Marah.
24So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, "What are we to drink?"24And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”24So the people grumbled at Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?"24And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?24The people grumbled to Moses, "What are we going to drink?"
25Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. There the LORD issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.25And he cried to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a log, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the LORD made for them a statute and a rule, and there he tested them,25Then he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree; and he threw it into the waters, and the waters became sweet. There He made for them a statute and regulation, and there He tested them.25And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,25So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he threw it into the water, the water became drinkable. He made a statute and ordinance for them at Marah and He tested them there.

26He said, "If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."26saying, “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, your healer.”26And He said, "If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the LORD your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the LORD, am your healer."26And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.26He said, "If you will carefully obey the LORD your God, do what is right in His eyes, pay attention to His commands, and keep all His statutes, I will not inflict any illnesses on you that I inflicted on the Egyptians. For I am Yahweh who heals you."
27Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water.27Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they encamped there by the water.27Then they came to Elim where there were twelve springs of water and seventy date palms, and they camped there beside the waters.27And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.27Then they came to Elim, where there were 12 springs of water and 70 date palms, and they camped there by the waters.
