Solomon’s Palace Complex

1  וְאֶת־ (And) בֵּיתוֹ֙ (his own house) בָּנָ֣ה (built) שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה (Solomon) שְׁלֹ֥שׁ (three) עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה (and ten) שָׁנָ֑ה (years); וַיְכַ֖ל (and he finished) אֶת־ (-) כָּל־ (all) בֵּיתֽוֹ׃ (his house).

2  וַיִּ֜בֶן (And He built) אֶת־ (-) בֵּ֣ית׀ (the House) יַ֣עַר (of the Forest) הַלְּבָנ֗וֹן (of Lebanon), מֵאָ֨ה (a hundred) אַמָּ֤ה (cubits) אָרְכּוֹ֙ (its length was), וַחֲמִשִּׁ֤ים (and fifty) אַמָּה֙ (cubits) רָחְבּ֔וֹ (its width), וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים (and thirty) אַמָּ֖ה (cubits) קוֹמָת֑וֹ (its height), עַ֗ל (with) אַרְבָּעָה֙ (four) טוּרֵי֙ (rows) עַמּוּדֵ֣י (of pillars) אֲרָזִ֔ים (cedar) וּכְרֻת֥וֹת (and beams) אֲרָזִ֖ים (cedar) עַל־ (on) הָעַמּוּדִֽים׃ (the pillars).

3  וְסָפֻ֣ן (And it was covered) בָּאֶ֗רֶז (with cedar) מִמַּ֙עַל֙ (above) עַל־ (on) הַצְּלָעֹת֙ (the beams) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (that were) עַל־ (on) הָֽעַמּוּדִ֔ים (pillars), אַרְבָּעִ֖ים (forty) וַחֲמִשָּׁ֑ה (and five) חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה (five) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten) הַטּֽוּר׃ (in the row). 4  וּשְׁקֻפִ֖ים (And windows) שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה (were in three) טוּרִ֑ים (in rows), וּמֶחֱזָ֥ה (and window was) אֶל־ (opposite) מֶחֱזָ֖ה (window) שָׁלֹ֥שׁ (in three) פְּעָמִֽים׃ (tiers). 5  וְכָל־ (And all) הַפְּתָחִ֥ים (the doorways) וְהַמְּזוּז֖וֹת (and the doorposts) רְבֻעִ֣ים (were squared) שָׁ֑קֶף (framework), וּמ֧וּל (and) מֶחֱזָ֛ה (window was) אֶל־ (opposite) מֶחֱזָ֖ה (window) שָׁלֹ֥שׁ (in three) פְּעָמִֽים׃ (tiers).

6  וְאֵ֨ת (And also) אוּלָ֤ם (the Hall) הָֽעַמּוּדִים֙ (of Pillars) עָשָׂ֔ה (he made), חֲמִשִּׁ֤ים (fifty) אַמָּה֙ (cubits) אָרְכּ֔וֹ (its length) וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים (and thirty) אַמָּ֖ה (cubits) רָחְבּ֑וֹ (its width). וְאוּלָם֙ (And a portico was) עַל־ (before) פְּנֵיהֶ֔ם (their faces) וְעַמֻּדִ֥ים (and with pillars), וְעָ֖ב (and a canopy was) עַל־ (before) פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ (their faces).

7  וְאוּלָ֤ם (And a hall) הַכִּסֵּא֙ (for the throne) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (where) יִשְׁפָּט־ (he would judge) שָׁ֔ם (there), אֻלָ֥ם (the Hall) הַמִּשְׁפָּ֖ט (of Justice), עָשָׂ֑ה (he made) וְסָפ֣וּן (and it was covered) בָּאֶ֔רֶז (with the cedar) מֵהַקַּרְקַ֖ע (from the floor) עַד־ (up to) הַקַּרְקָֽע׃ (the floor).

8  וּבֵיתוֹ֩ (And the house) אֲשֶׁר־ (where) יֵ֨שֶׁב (he dwelt) שָׁ֜ם (there) חָצֵ֣ר (had a court) הָאַחֶ֗רֶת (another) מִבֵּית֙ (inside) לָֽאוּלָ֔ם (the porch). כַּמַּֽעֲשֶׂ֥ה (Of like workmanship) הַזֶּ֖ה (as this) הָיָ֑ה (it was). וּבַ֜יִת (And a house) יַעֲשֶׂ֤ה (he made) לְבַת־ (for the daughter) פַּרְעֹה֙ (of Pharaoh)— אֲשֶׁ֣ר (whom) לָקַ֣ח (had taken) שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה (Solomon)— כָּאוּלָ֖ם (like the porch) הַזֶּֽה׃ (this).

9  כָּל־ (All) אֵ֜לֶּה (these were) אֲבָנִ֤ים (of stones) יְקָרֹת֙ (costly), כְּמִדֹּ֣ת (to size) גָּזִ֔ית (cut), מְגֹרָר֥וֹת (trimmed) בַּמְּגֵרָ֖ה (with the saw) מִבַּ֣יִת (from within) וּמִח֑וּץ (and from without), וּמִמַּסָּד֙ (and from the foundation) עַד־ (to) הַטְּפָח֔וֹת (the eaves) וּמִח֖וּץ (and from the outside) עַד־ (up to) הֶחָצֵ֥ר (the court) הַגְּדוֹלָֽה׃ (great). 10  וּמְיֻסָּ֕ד (And the foundation was) אֲבָנִ֥ים (of stones), יְקָר֖וֹת (costly) אֲבָנִ֣ים (stones), גְּדֹל֑וֹת (large) אַבְנֵי֙ (stones) עֶ֣שֶׂר (of ten) אַמּ֔וֹת (cubits) וְאַבְנֵ֖י (and stones) שְׁמֹנֶ֥ה (of eight) אַמּֽוֹת׃ (cubits). 11  וּמִלְמַ֗עְלָה (And above) אֲבָנִ֧ים (were stones) יְקָר֛וֹת (costly), כְּמִדּ֥וֹת (according to the measurement) גָּזִ֖ית (hewn), וָאָֽרֶז׃ (and cedar wood).

12  וְחָצֵ֨ר (And court) הַגְּדוֹלָ֜ה (the great) סָבִ֗יב (round about) שְׁלֹשָׁה֙ (was three) טוּרִ֣ים (rows) גָּזִ֔ית (of hewn stones) וְט֖וּר (and a row) כְּרֻתֹ֣ת (of beams) אֲרָזִ֑ים (cedar). וְלַחֲצַ֧ר (Court) בֵּית־ (of the house) יְהוָ֛ה (of YHWH) הַפְּנִימִ֖ית (even for the inner) וּלְאֻלָ֥ם (and the porch) הַבָּֽיִת׃פ (of the house).

The Pillars and Capitals
(2 Chronicles 3:14–17)

13  וַיִּשְׁלַח֙ (And sent) הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ (King) שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה (Solomon) וַיִּקַּ֥ח (and brought) אֶת־ (-) חִירָ֖ם (Hiram) מִצֹּֽר׃ (from Tyre). 14  בֶּן־ (The son) אִשָּׁה֩ (of a woman), אַלְמָנָ֨ה (a widow), ה֜וּא (he was), מִמַּטֵּ֣ה (from the tribe) נַפְתָּלִ֗י (of Naphtali), וְאָבִ֣יו (and his father was) אִישׁ־ (a man) צֹרִי֮ (Tyrian), חֹרֵ֣שׁ (a worker) נְחֹשֶׁת֒ (in bronze). וַ֠יִּמָּלֵא (And he was filled) אֶת־ (with) הַחָכְמָ֤ה (wisdom) וְאֶת־ (and) הַתְּבוּנָה֙ (understanding) וְאֶת־ (and) הַדַּ֔עַת (skill) לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת (in working with) כָּל־ (all kinds) מְלָאכָ֖ה (of work) בַּנְּחֹ֑שֶׁת (in bronze). וַיָּבוֹא֙ (And he came) אֶל־ (to) הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ (King) שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה (Solomon) וַיַּ֖עַשׂ (and did) אֶת־ (-) כָּל־ (all) מְלַאכְתּֽוֹ׃ (his work).

15  וַיָּ֛צַר (And he cast) אֶת־ (-) שְׁנֵ֥י (two) הָעַמּוּדִ֖ים (pillars) נְחֹ֑שֶׁת (of bronze), שְׁמֹנֶ֨ה (eight) עֶשְׂרֵ֜ה (and ten) אַמָּ֗ה (cubits) קוֹמַת֙ (was the height) הָעַמּ֣וּד (of the pillar) הָאֶחָ֔ד (one), וְחוּט֙ (and a line) שְׁתֵּים־ (of two) עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה (and ten) אַמָּ֔ה (cubits) יָסֹ֖ב (compassed) אֶת־ (-) הָעַמּ֥וּד (the pillar) הַשֵּׁנִֽי׃ (the second). 16  וּשְׁתֵּ֨י (And two) כֹתָרֹ֜ת (capitals) עָשָׂ֗ה (he made) לָתֵ֛ת (to set) עַל־ (on) רָאשֵׁ֥י (the tops) הָֽעַמּוּדִ֖ים (of the pillars), מֻצַ֣ק (cast) נְחֹ֑שֶׁת (bronze), חָמֵ֣שׁ (five) אַמּ֗וֹת (cubits) קוֹמַת֙ (the height) הַכֹּתֶ֣רֶת (of the capital) הָאֶחָ֔ת (one), וְחָמֵ֣שׁ (and five) אַמּ֔וֹת (cubits) קוֹמַ֖ת (the height) הַכֹּתֶ֥רֶת (of the capital) הַשֵּׁנִֽית׃ (second). 17  שְׂבָכִ֞ים (A network) מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה (he made) שְׂבָכָ֗ה (of lattice) גְּדִלִים֙ (with wreaths) מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה (of) שַׁרְשְׁר֔וֹת (chainwork) לַכֹּ֣תָרֹ֔ת (for the capitals) אֲשֶׁ֖ר (that were) עַל־ (on) רֹ֣אשׁ (top) הָעַמּוּדִ֑ים (of the pillars), שִׁבְעָה֙ (seven) לַכֹּתֶ֣רֶת (for the capital) הָאֶחָ֔ת (one) וְשִׁבְעָ֖ה (and seven) לַכֹּתֶ֥רֶת (for the capital) הַשֵּׁנִֽית׃ (second).

18  וַיַּ֖עַשׂ (And he made) אֶת־ (-) הָעַמּוּדִ֑ים (the pillars), וּשְׁנֵי֩ (and two) טוּרִ֨ים (rows) סָבִ֜יב (all around) עַל־ (above) הַשְּׂבָכָ֣ה (the network), הָאֶחָ֗ת (one) לְכַסּ֤וֹת (to cover) אֶת־ (-) הַכֹּֽתָרֹת֙ (the capitals) אֲשֶׁר֙ (that were) עַל־ (on) רֹ֣אשׁ (top) הָֽרִמֹּנִ֔ים (of the pomegranates); וְכֵ֣ן (and so) עָשָׂ֔ה (he did) לַכֹּתֶ֖רֶת (for the capital) הַשֵּׁנִֽית׃ (of the second). 19  וְכֹֽתָרֹ֗ת (And the capitals) אֲשֶׁר֙ (that were) עַל־ (on) רֹ֣אשׁ (top) הָעַמּוּדִ֔ים (of the pillars) מַעֲשֵׂ֖ה (were in the shape) שׁוּשַׁ֣ן (of lilies) בָּֽאוּלָ֑ם (in the hall), אַרְבַּ֖ע (four) אַמּֽוֹת׃ (cubits). 20  וְכֹתָרֹ֗ת (And the capitals) עַל־ (on) שְׁנֵי֙ (the two) הָֽעַמּוּדִ֔ים (the pillars) גַּם־ (also) מִמַּ֙עַל֙ (above), מִלְּעֻמַּ֣ת (from near) הַבֶּ֔טֶן (the belly) אֲשֶׁ֖ר (that was) לְעֵ֣בֶר (next to) שְׂבָכָה (the network). וְהָרִמּוֹנִ֤ים (And there were pomegranates) מָאתַ֙יִם֙ (two hundred) טֻרִ֣ים (in rows) סָבִ֔יב (all around) עַ֖ל (on) הַכֹּתֶ֥רֶת (the capital) הַשֵּׁנִֽית׃ (second).

21  וַיָּ֙קֶם֙ (And he set up) אֶת־ (-) הָֽעַמֻּדִ֔ים (the pillars) לְאֻלָ֖ם (for the porch) הַֽהֵיכָ֑ל (of the house). וַיָּ֜קֶם (And he set up) אֶת־ (-) הָעַמּ֣וּד (the pillar) הַיְמָנִ֗י (on the right) וַיִּקְרָ֤א (and called) אֶת־ (-) שְׁמוֹ֙ (its name) יָכִ֔ין (Jachin), וַיָּ֙קֶם֙ (and he set up) אֶת־ (-) הָעַמּ֣וּד (the pillar) הַשְּׂמָאלִ֔י (on the left) וַיִּקְרָ֥א (and called) אֶת־ (-) שְׁמ֖וֹ (its name) בֹּֽעַז׃ (Boa z). 22  וְעַ֛ל (And) רֹ֥אשׁ (the tops) הָעַמּוּדִ֖ים (of the pillars) מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה (were the work) שׁוֹשָׁ֑ן (of lilies). וַתִּתֹּ֖ם (And was finished) מְלֶ֥אכֶת (the work) הָעַמּוּדִֽים׃ (of the pillars).

The Molten Sea
(2 Chronicles 4:1–5)

23  וַיַּ֥עַשׂ (And he made) אֶת־ (-) הַיָּ֖ם (the Sea) מוּצָ֑ק (of cast bronze) עֶ֣שֶׂר (ten) בָּ֠אַמָּה (by the cubit) מִשְּׂפָת֨וֹ (from one brim) עַד־ (to) שְׂפָת֜וֹ (the other). עָגֹ֣ל׀ (It was round) סָבִ֗יב (perfectly), וְחָמֵ֤שׁ (and five) בָּֽאַמָּה֙ (by the cubit) קוֹמָת֔וֹ (was its height), וּקְוֵה (and a line) שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים (of thirty) בָּֽאַמָּ֔ה (by the cubit) יָסֹ֥ב (surrounded) אֹת֖וֹ (it) סָבִֽיב׃ (all around). 24  וּפְקָעִים֩ (And were ornamental buds) מִתַּ֨חַת (beneath) לִשְׂפָת֤וֹ׀ (its brim) סָבִיב֙ (round about) סֹבְבִ֣ים (surrounding) אֹת֔וֹ (it) עֶ֚שֶׂר (ten) בָּֽאַמָּ֔ה (by the cubit) מַקִּפִ֥ים (all the way) אֶת־ (-) הַיָּ֖ם (the Sea) סָבִ֑יב (around). שְׁנֵ֤י (Two) טוּרִים֙ (in rows) הַפְּקָעִ֔ים (the ornamental buds) יְצֻקִ֖ים (were cast) בִּיצֻקָתֽוֹ׃ (when it was cast).

25  עֹמֵ֞ד (It stood) עַל־ (on) שְׁנֵ֧י (two) עָשָׂ֣ר (and ten) בָּקָ֗ר (oxen), שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה (three) פֹנִ֣ים׀ (facing) צָפ֡וֹנָה (toward the north), וּשְׁלֹשָׁה֩ (and three) פֹנִ֨ים׀ (facing) יָ֜מָּה (toward the west), וּשְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה׀ (and three) פֹּנִ֣ים (facing) נֶ֗גְבָּה (toward the south), וּשְׁלֹשָׁה֙ (and three) פֹּנִ֣ים (facing) מִזְרָ֔חָה (toward the east); וְהַיָּ֥ם (and the Sea) עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם (was over them) מִלְמָ֑עְלָה (-) וְכָל־ (and all) אֲחֹֽרֵיהֶ֖ם (their hindquarters) בָּֽיְתָה׃ (were inward). 26  וְעָבְי֣וֹ (And it was thick) טֶ֔פַח (a handbreadth), וּשְׂפָת֛וֹ (and its brim) כְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה (as the work) שְׂפַת־ (of the brim) כּ֖וֹס (of a cup), פֶּ֣רַח (a blossom) שׁוֹשָׁ֑ן (lily). אַלְפַּ֥יִם (Two thousand) בַּ֖ת (baths) יָכִֽיל׃פ (it contained).

The Ten Bronze Stands

27  וַיַּ֧עַשׂ (And He made) אֶת־ (-) הַמְּכֹנ֛וֹת (carts) עֶ֖שֶׂר (ten) נְחֹ֑שֶׁת (of bronze), אַרְבַּ֣ע (four) בָּאַמָּ֗ה (by the cubit) אֹ֚רֶךְ (the length) הַמְּכוֹנָ֣ה (of the cart) הָֽאֶחָ֔ת (one), וְאַרְבַּ֤ע (and four) בָּֽאַמָּה֙ (by the cubit) רָחְבָּ֔הּ (its width), וְשָׁלֹ֥שׁ (and three) בָּאַמָּ֖ה (by the cubit) קוֹמָתָֽהּ׃ (its height).

28  וְזֶ֛ה (And this was) מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה (the design) הַמְּכוֹנָ֖ה (of the carts): מִסְגְּרֹ֣ת (Panels) לָהֶ֑ם (were unto them), וּמִסְגְּרֹ֖ת (and the panels) בֵּ֥ין (between) הַשְׁלַבִּֽים׃ (frames). 29  וְעַֽל־ (And on) הַמִּסְגְּר֞וֹת (the panels) אֲשֶׁ֣ר׀ (that were) בֵּ֣ין (between) הַשְׁלַבִּ֗ים (the frames) אֲרָי֤וֹת׀ (were lions), בָּקָר֙ (oxen), וּכְרוּבִ֔ים (and cherubim); וְעַל־ (and on) הַשְׁלַבִּ֖ים (the frames was) כֵּ֣ן (a pedestal) מִמָּ֑עַל (on top); וּמִתַּ֙חַת֙ (and beneath) לַאֲרָי֣וֹת (the lions) וְלַבָּקָ֔ר (and the oxen were) לֹי֖וֹת (wreaths) מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה (of work) מוֹרָֽד׃ (plaited).

30  וְאַרְבָּעָה֩ (And four) אוֹפַנֵּ֨י (wheels) נְחֹ֜שֶׁת (bronze) לַמְּכוֹנָ֤ה (were unto the cart) הָֽאַחַת֙ (one), וְסַרְנֵ֣י (and axles) נְחֹ֔שֶׁת (of bronze), וְאַרְבָּעָ֥ה (and four) פַעֲמֹתָ֖יו (its feet) כְּתֵפֹ֣ת (were supports) לָהֶ֑ם (to them) מִתַּ֤חַת (under) לַכִּיֹּר֙ (the basin were) הַכְּתֵפֹ֣ת (supports) יְצֻק֔וֹת (of cast bronze) מֵעֵ֥בֶר (beside) אִ֖ישׁ (each) לֹיֽוֹת׃ (of the wreaths). 31  וּ֠פִיהוּ (And its opening) מִבֵּ֨ית (inside) לַכֹּתֶ֤רֶת (the crown) וָמַ֙עְלָה֙ (and at the top) בָּֽאַמָּ֔ה (was a cubit), וּפִ֙יהָ֙ (and the opening was) עָגֹ֣ל (round) מַעֲשֵׂה־ (shaped) כֵ֔ן (a pedestal), אַמָּ֖ה (one) וַחֲצִ֣י (and a half) הָֽאַמָּ֑ה (of the cubit), וְגַם־ (and also) עַל־ (on) פִּ֙יהָ֙ (the opening were) מִקְלָע֔וֹת (engravings), וּמִסְגְּרֹתֵיהֶ֥ם (and the panels were) מְרֻבָּע֖וֹת (square) לֹ֥א (not) עֲגֻלּֽוֹת׃ (round).

32  וְאַרְבַּ֣עַת (And the four) הָאֽוֹפַנִּ֗ים (wheels) לְמִתַּ֙חַת֙ (were under) לַֽמִּסְגְּר֔וֹת (the panels), וִיד֥וֹת (and the axles) הָאֽוֹפַנִּ֖ים (of the wheels were) בַּמְּכוֹנָ֑ה (to the cart). וְקוֹמַת֙ (And the height) הָאוֹפַ֣ן (of wheel) הָאֶחָ֔ד (one) אַמָּ֖ה (was a cubit) וַחֲצִ֥י (and a half) הָאַמָּֽה׃ (a cubit). 33  וּמַֽעֲשֵׂה֙ (And the workmanship) הָא֣וֹפַנִּ֔ים (of the wheels) כְּמַעֲשֵׂ֖ה (was like the workmanship) אוֹפַ֣ן (of a wheel) הַמֶּרְכָּבָ֑ה (of a chariot). יְדוֹתָ֣ם (Their axles), וְגַבֵּיהֶ֗ם (and their rims), וְחִשֻּׁקֵיהֶ֛ם (and their spokes), וְחִשֻּׁרֵיהֶ֖ם (and their hubs were) הַכֹּ֥ל (all) מוּצָֽק׃ (of cast metal).

34  וְאַרְבַּ֣ע (And were four) כְּתֵפ֔וֹת (supports) אֶ֚ל (at) אַרְבַּ֣ע (the four) פִּנּ֔וֹת (corners) הַמְּכֹנָ֖ה (of the cart), הָֽאֶחָ֑ת (one) מִן־ (were of) הַמְּכֹנָ֖ה (the cart itself) כְּתֵפֶֽיהָ׃ (its supports). 35  וּבְרֹ֣אשׁ (And on the top) הַמְּכוֹנָ֗ה (of the cart) חֲצִ֧י (half) הָאַמָּ֛ה (a cubit) קוֹמָ֖ה (at the height) עָגֹ֣ל׀ (circular) סָבִ֑יב (all around), וְעַ֨ל (and on) רֹ֤אשׁ (the top) הַמְּכֹנָה֙ (of the cart) יְדֹתֶ֔יהָ (were its hands) וּמִסְגְּרֹתֶ֖יהָ (and its rims) מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ (of the same casting).

36  וַיְפַתַּ֤ח (And he engraved) עַל־ (on) הַלֻּחֹת֙ (the plates) יְדֹתֶ֔יהָ (of its hands) וְעַל֙ (and on) וּמִסְגְּרֹתֶיהָ (its rims) כְּרוּבִ֖ים (cherubim), אֲרָי֣וֹת (lions), וְתִמֹרֹ֑ת (and palm trees), כְּמַֽעַר־ (according to the void space) אִ֥ישׁ (of each), וְלֹי֖וֹת (and with wreaths) סָבִֽיב׃ (all around). 37  כָּזֹ֣את (Thus) עָשָׂ֔ה (he made) אֵ֖ת (-) עֶ֣שֶׂר (the ten) הַמְּכֹנ֑וֹת (carts), מוּצָ֨ק (a casting) אֶחָ֜ד (one), מִדָּ֥ה (a measure) אַחַ֛ת (one) קֶ֥צֶב (a shape) אֶחָ֖ד (one) לְכֻלָּֽהְנָה׃ס (all of them were).

The Ten Bronze Basins
(2 Chronicles 4:6–8)

38  וַיַּ֛עַשׂ (And he made) עֲשָׂרָ֥ה (ten) כִיֹּר֖וֹת (basins) נְחֹ֑שֶׁת (of bronze). אַרְבָּעִ֨ים (Forty) בַּ֜ת (baths) יָכִ֣יל׀ (contained) הַכִּיּ֣וֹר (basin) הָאֶחָ֗ד (one); אַרְבַּ֤ע (four) בָּֽאַמָּה֙ (by the cubit) הַכִּיּ֣וֹר (basin) הָאֶחָ֔ד (one was). כִּיּ֤וֹר (Basin) אֶחָד֙ (one) עַל־ (on) הַמְּכוֹנָ֣ה (cart) הָאַחַ֔ת (one) לְעֶ֖שֶׂר (was to the ten) הַמְּכֹנֽוֹת׃ (carts).

39  וַיִּתֵּן֙ (And he put) אֶת־ (-) הַמְּכֹנ֔וֹת (carts) חָמֵ֞שׁ (five) עַל־ (on) כֶּ֤תֶף (side) הַבַּ֙יִת֙ (of the house) מִיָּמִ֔ין (the right), וְחָמֵ֛שׁ (and five) עַל־ (on) כֶּ֥תֶף (side) הַבַּ֖יִת (of the house) מִשְּׂמֹאל֑וֹ (the left), וְאֶת־ (and) הַיָּ֗ם (the Sea) נָתַ֞ן (he set) מִכֶּ֨תֶף (on side) הַבַּ֧יִת (of the house) הַיְמָנִ֛ית (the right) קֵ֖דְמָה (eastward) מִמּ֥וּל (toward) נֶֽגֶב׃ס (the south).

(2 Chronicles 4:11–18)

40  וַיַּ֣עַשׂ (And made) חִיר֔וֹם (Huram) אֶת־ (-) הַ֨כִּיֹּר֔וֹת (the basins), וְאֶת־ (and) הַיָּעִ֖ים (the shovels), וְאֶת־ (and) הַמִּזְרָק֑וֹת (and the sprinkling bowls).

וַיְכַ֣ל (And finished) חִירָ֗ם (Huram) לַֽעֲשׂוֹת֙ (doing) אֶת־ (-) כָּל־ (all) הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה (the work) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that) עָשָׂ֛ה (he was to do) לַמֶּ֥לֶךְ (for King) שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה (Solomon) בֵּ֥ית (for the house) יְהוָֽה׃ (of YHWH):

41  עַמֻּדִ֣ים (The pillars) שְׁנַ֔יִם (two);

וְגֻלֹּ֧ת (and bowl-shaped) הַכֹּתָרֹ֛ת (the capitals) אֲשֶׁר־ (that were) עַל־ (on) רֹ֥אשׁ (top) הָֽעַמֻּדִ֖ים (of the pillars) שְׁתָּ֑יִם (two);

וְהַשְּׂבָכ֣וֹת (and the networks) שְׁתַּ֔יִם (two) לְכַסּ֗וֹת (covering) אֶת־ (-) שְׁתֵּי֙ (two) גֻּלֹּ֣ת (bowl-shaped) הַכֹּֽתָרֹ֔ת (the capitals) אֲשֶׁ֖ר (that were) עַל־ (on) רֹ֥אשׁ (top) הָעַמּוּדִֽים׃ (of the pillars);

42  וְאֶת־ (and) הָרִמֹּנִ֛ים (pomegranates) אַרְבַּ֥ע (four) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) לִשְׁתֵּ֣י (for the two) הַשְּׂבָכ֑וֹת (networks), שְׁנֵֽי־ (two) טוּרִ֤ים (rows) רִמֹּנִים֙ (of pomegranates) לַשְּׂבָכָ֣ה (for network) הָֽאֶחָ֔ת (one), לְכַסּ֗וֹת (to cover) אֶת־ (-) שְׁתֵּי֙ (the two) גֻּלֹּ֣ת (bowl-shaped) הַכֹּֽתָרֹ֔ת (capitals) אֲשֶׁ֖ר (that were) עַל־ (on) פְּנֵ֥י (top) הָעַמּוּדִֽים׃ (of the pillars);

43  וְאֶת־ (and) הַמְּכֹנ֖וֹת (the carts) עָ֑שֶׂר (ten);

וְאֶת־ (and) הַכִּיֹּרֹ֥ת (the basins) עֲשָׂרָ֖ה (ten) עַל־ (on) הַמְּכֹנֽוֹת׃ (the carts);

44  וְאֶת־ (and) הַיָּ֖ם (the Sea) הָאֶחָ֑ד (one);

וְאֶת־ (and) הַבָּקָ֥ר (oxen) שְׁנֵים־ (two) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten) תַּ֥חַת (under) הַיָּֽם׃ (the Sea);

45  וְאֶת־ (and) הַסִּיר֨וֹת (the pots), וְאֶת־ (and) הַיָּעִ֜ים (the shovels), וְאֶת־ (and) הַמִּזְרָק֗וֹת (the bowls);

וְאֵת֙ (and) כָּל־ (all) הַכֵּלִ֣ים (vessels) הָאֹהֶל (these) אֲשֶׁ֨ר (that) עָשָׂ֥ה (made) חִירָ֛ם (Huram) לַמֶּ֥לֶךְ (for King) שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה (Solomon) בֵּ֣ית (for the house) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH) נְחֹ֖שֶׁת (were of bronze) מְמֹרָֽט׃ (polished). 46  בְּכִכַּ֤ר (In the plain) הַיַּרְדֵּן֙ (of the Jordan) יְצָקָ֣ם (had cast them) הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ (the king) בְּמַעֲבֵ֖ה (in clay) הָאֲדָמָ֑ה (molds) בֵּ֥ין (between) סֻכּ֖וֹת (Succoth) וּבֵ֥ין (and between) צָרְתָֽן׃ (Zarethan). 47  וַיַּנַּ֤ח (And did not weigh) שְׁלֹמֹה֙ (Solomon) אֶת־ (-) כָּל־ (all) הַכֵּלִ֔ים (the articles), מֵרֹ֖ב (because of the abundance) מְאֹ֣ד (exceedingly) מְאֹ֑ד (great) לֹ֥א (not) נֶחְקַ֖ר (was determined) מִשְׁקַ֥ל (the weight) הַנְּחֹֽשֶׁת׃ (of the bronze).

מִזְבַּ֣ח (The altar) הַזָּהָ֔ב (of gold);

וְאֶת־ (and) הַשֻּׁלְחָ֗ן (the table) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that) עָלָ֛יו (on it was) לֶ֥חֶם (the bread) הַפָּנִ֖ים (of the Presence) זָהָֽב׃ (golden);

49  וְאֶת־ (and) הַ֠מְּנֹרוֹת (the lampstands) חָמֵ֨שׁ (five) מִיָּמִ֜ין (on the right) וְחָמֵ֧שׁ (and five) מִשְּׂמֹ֛אול (on the left), לִפְנֵ֥י (in front) הַדְּבִ֖יר (of the inner sanctuary), זָהָ֣ב (of gold) סָג֑וּר (pure);

וְהַפֶּ֧רַח (and the flowers), וְהַנֵּרֹ֛ת (and the lamps), וְהַמֶּלְקַחַ֖יִם (and the wick trimmers) זָהָֽב׃ (gold);

50  וְ֠הַסִּפּוֹת (and the basins), וְהַֽמְזַמְּר֧וֹת (and the trimmers), וְהַמִּזְרָק֛וֹת (and the bowls), וְהַכַּפּ֥וֹת (and the ladles), וְהַמַּחְתּ֖וֹת (and the firepans) זָהָ֣ב (of gold) סָג֑וּר (pure);

וְהַפֹּת֡וֹת (and the hinges) לְדַלְתוֹת֩ (for the doors) הַבַּ֨יִת (of the houe) הַפְּנִימִ֜י (inner) לְקֹ֣דֶשׁ (for the Holy) הַקֳּדָשִׁ֗ים (of Holies) לְדַלְתֵ֥י (and for the doors) הַבַּ֛יִת (of the main hall) לַהֵיכָ֖ל (of the house), זָהָֽב׃פ (of gold).

51  וַתִּשְׁלַם֙ (And was finished) כָּל־ (all) הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה (the work) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that) עָשָׂ֛ה (had done) הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ (King) שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה (Solomon) בֵּ֣ית (for the house) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH).

וַיָּבֵ֨א (And brought in) שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה (Solomon) אֶת־ (-) קָדְשֵׁ֣י׀ (the holy things) דָּוִ֣ד (of David) אָבִ֗יו (his father)— אֶת־ (-) הַכֶּ֤סֶף (the silver), וְאֶת־ (and) הַזָּהָב֙ (the gold), וְאֶת־ (and) הַכֵּלִ֔ים (the furnishings). נָתַ֕ן (He put them) בְּאֹצְר֖וֹת (in the treasuries) בֵּ֥ית (of the house) יְהוָֽה׃פ (of YHWH).
