New American Standard Bible 1995English Standard Version
Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,1The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
"Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'When you enter the land where you are to live, which I am giving you,2“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land you are to inhabit, which I am giving you,
then make an offering by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering or a sacrifice to fulfill a special vow, or as a freewill offering or in your appointed times, to make a soothing aroma to the LORD, from the herd or from the flock.3and you offer to the LORD from the herd or from the flock a food offering or a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering or at your appointed feasts, to make a pleasing aroma to the LORD,
The one who presents his offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of oil,4then he who brings his offering shall offer to the LORD a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour, mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil;
and you shall prepare wine for the drink offering, one-fourth of a hin, with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.5and you shall offer with the burnt offering, or for the sacrifice, a quarter of a hin of wine for the drink offering for each lamb.
Or for a ram you shall prepare as a grain offering two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-third of a hin of oil;6Or for a ram, you shall offer for a grain offering two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil.
and for the drink offering you shall offer one-third of a hin of wine as a soothing aroma to the LORD.7And for the drink offering you shall offer a third of a hin of wine, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
'When you prepare a bull as a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a special vow, or for peace offerings to the LORD,8And when you offer a bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, to fulfill a vow or for peace offerings to the LORD,
then you shall offer with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-half a hin of oil;9then one shall offer with the bull a grain offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour, mixed with half a hin of oil.
and you shall offer as the drink offering one-half a hin of wine as an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the LORD.10And you shall offer for the drink offering half a hin of wine, as a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
'Thus it shall be done for each ox, or for each ram, or for each of the male lambs, or of the goats.11“Thus it shall be done for each bull or ram, or for each lamb or young goat.
'According to the number that you prepare, so you shall do for everyone according to their number.12As many as you offer, so shall you do with each one, as many as there are.
'All who are native shall do these things in this manner, in presenting an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the LORD.13Every native Israelite shall do these things in this way, in offering a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
If an alien sojourns with you, or one who may be among you throughout your generations, and he wishes to make an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the LORD, just as you do so he shall do.14And if a stranger is sojourning with you, or anyone is living permanently among you, and he wishes to offer a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the LORD, he shall do as you do.
As for the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the alien who sojourns with you, a perpetual statute throughout your generations; as you are, so shall the alien be before the LORD.15For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you, a statute forever throughout your generations. You and the sojourner shall be alike before the LORD.
'There is to be one law and one ordinance for you and for the alien who sojourns with you.'"16One law and one rule shall be for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.”
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,17The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
"Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'When you enter the land where I bring you,18“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land to which I bring you
then it shall be, that when you eat of the food of the land, you shall lift up an offering to the LORD.19and when you eat of the bread of the land, you shall present a contribution to the LORD.
'Of the first of your dough you shall lift up a cake as an offering; as the offering of the threshing floor, so you shall lift it up.20Of the first of your dough you shall present a loaf as a contribution; like a contribution from the threshing floor, so shall you present it.
'From the first of your dough you shall give to the LORD an offering throughout your generations.21Some of the first of your dough you shall give to the LORD as a contribution throughout your generations.
'But when you unwittingly fail and do not observe all these commandments, which the LORD has spoken to Moses,22“But if you sin unintentionally, and do not observe all these commandments that the LORD has spoken to Moses,
even all that the LORD has commanded you through Moses, from the day when the LORD gave commandment and onward throughout your generations,23all that the LORD has commanded you by Moses, from the day that the LORD gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations,
then it shall be, if it is done unintentionally, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one bull for a burnt offering, as a soothing aroma to the LORD, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one male goat for a sin offering.24then if it was done unintentionally without the knowledge of the congregation, all the congregation shall offer one bull from the herd for a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the rule, and one male goat for a sin offering.
'Then the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and they will be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their offering, an offering by fire to the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their error.25And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the people of Israel, and they shall be forgiven, because it was a mistake, and they have brought their offering, a food offering to the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD for their mistake.
So all the congregation of the sons of Israel will be forgiven, with the alien who sojourns among them, for it happened to all the people through error.26And all the congregation of the people of Israel shall be forgiven, and the stranger who sojourns among them, because the whole population was involved in the mistake.
'Also if one person sins unintentionally, then he shall offer a one year old female goat for a sin offering.27“If one person sins unintentionally, he shall offer a female goat a year old for a sin offering.
'The priest shall make atonement before the LORD for the person who goes astray when he sins unintentionally, making atonement for him that he may be forgiven.28And the priest shall make atonement before the LORD for the person who makes a mistake, when he sins unintentionally, to make atonement for him, and he shall be forgiven.
You shall have one law for him who does anything unintentionally, for him who is native among the sons of Israel and for the alien who sojourns among them.29You shall have one law for him who does anything unintentionally, for him who is native among the people of Israel and for the stranger who sojourns among them.
But the person who does anything defiantly, whether he is native or an alien, that one is blaspheming the LORD; and that person shall be cut off from among his people.30But the person who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native or a sojourner, reviles the LORD, and that person shall be cut off from among his people.
Because he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his guilt will be on him.'"31Because he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken his commandment, that person shall be utterly cut off; his iniquity shall be on him.”
Now while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the sabbath day.32While the people of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day.
Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation;33And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation.
and they put him in custody because it had not been declared what should be done to him.34They put him in custody, because it had not been made clear what should be done to him.
Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp."35And the LORD said to Moses, “The man shall be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.”
So all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.36And all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, as the LORD commanded Moses.
The LORD also spoke to Moses, saying,37The LORD said to Moses,
"Speak to the sons of Israel, and tell them that they shall make for themselves tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they shall put on the tassel of each corner a cord of blue.38“Speak to the people of Israel, and tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a cord of blue on the tassel of each corner.
"It shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the LORD, so as to do them and not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you played the harlot,39And it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the LORD, to do them, not to follow after your own heart and your own eyes, which you are inclined to whore after.
so that you may remember to do all My commandments and be holy to your God.40So you shall remember and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God.
"I am the LORD your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the LORD your God."41I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God: I am the LORD your God.”
