לְדָוִ֨ד ׀
בָּרֲכִ֣י
נַ֭פְשִׁי
אֶת־
יְהוָ֑ה
וְכָל־
קְ֝רָבַ֗י
אֶת־
שֵׁ֥ם
קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃
Of David.
Bless
the LORD,
O my soul;
all
that is within me,
bless His holy
name.
{{[A Psalm] of David.
}} Bless
the LORD,
O my soul:
and all that is within
me, [bless] his holy
name.
2
בָּרֲכִ֣י
נַ֭פְשִׁי
אֶת־
יְהוָ֑ה
וְאַל־
תִּ֝שְׁכְּחִ֗י
כָּל־
גְּמוּלָֽיו׃
Bless
the LORD,
O my soul,
and do not
forget
all
His kind deeds—
Bless
the LORD,
O my soul,
and forget
not all his benefits:
3
הַסֹּלֵ֥חַ
לְכָל־
עֲוֺנֵ֑כִי
הָ֝רֹפֵ֗א
לְכָל־
תַּחֲלֻאָֽיְכִי׃
He who forgives
all
your iniquities
and heals
all
your diseases,
Who forgiveth
all thine iniquities;
who healeth
all thy diseases;
4
הַגּוֹאֵ֣ל
מִשַּׁ֣חַת
חַיָּ֑יְכִי
הַֽ֝מְעַטְּרֵ֗כִי
חֶ֣סֶד
וְרַחֲמִֽים׃
who redeems
your life
from the Pit
and crowns
you with loving devotion
and compassion,
Who redeemeth
thy life
from destruction;
who crowneth
thee with lovingkindness
and tender mercies;
5
הַמַּשְׂבִּ֣יַע
בַּטּ֣וֹב
עֶדְיֵ֑ךְ
תִּתְחַדֵּ֖שׁ
כַּנֶּ֣שֶׁר
נְעוּרָֽיְכִי׃
who satisfies you
with good
things,
so that your youth
is renewed
like the eagle’s.
Who satisfieth
thy mouth
with good
[things; so that] thy youth
is renewed
like the eagle's.
6
עֹשֵׂ֣ה
צְדָק֣וֹת
יְהוָ֑ה
וּ֝מִשְׁפָּטִ֗ים
לְכָל־
עֲשׁוּקִֽים׃
The LORD
executes
righteousness
and justice
for all
the oppressed.
The LORD
executeth
righteousness
and judgment
for all that are oppressed.
7
יוֹדִ֣יעַ
דְּרָכָ֣יו
לְמֹשֶׁ֑ה
לִבְנֵ֥י
יִ֝שְׂרָאֵ֗ל
עֲלִילֽוֹתָיו׃
He made known
His ways
to Moses,
His deeds
to the people
of Israel.
He made known
his ways
unto Moses,
his acts
unto the children
of Israel.
8
רַח֣וּם
וְחַנּ֣וּן
יְהוָ֑ה
אֶ֖רֶךְ
אַפַּ֣יִם
וְרַב־
חָֽסֶד׃
The LORD
is compassionate
and gracious,
slow
to anger,
abounding
in loving devotion.
The LORD
[is] merciful
and gracious,
slow
to anger,
and plenteous
in mercy.
9
לֹֽא־
לָנֶ֥צַח
יָרִ֑יב
וְלֹ֖א
לְעוֹלָ֣ם
יִטּֽוֹר׃
He will not
always
accuse us,
nor
harbor His anger
forever.
He will not always
chide:
neither will he keep
[his anger] for ever.
10
לֹ֣א
כַ֭חֲטָאֵינוּ
עָ֣שָׂה
לָ֑נוּ
וְלֹ֥א
כַ֝עֲוֺנֹתֵ֗ינוּ
גָּמַ֥ל
עָלֵֽינוּ׃
He has not
dealt
with us
according to
our sins
or repaid us
according to
our iniquities.
He hath not dealt
with us after our sins;
nor rewarded
us according to our iniquities.
11
כִּ֤י
כִגְבֹ֣הַּ
שָׁ֭מַיִם
עַל־
הָאָ֑רֶץ
גָּבַ֥ר
חַ֝סְדּ֗וֹ
עַל־
יְרֵאָֽיו׃
For
as high
as the heavens
are above
the earth,
so great
is His loving devotion
for
those who fear Him.
For as the heaven
is high above
the earth,
[so] great
is his mercy
toward them that fear
him.
12
כִּרְחֹ֣ק
מִ֭זְרָח
מִֽמַּֽעֲרָ֑ב
הִֽרְחִ֥יק
מִ֝מֶּ֗נּוּ
אֶת־
פְּשָׁעֵֽינוּ׃
As far
as the east
is from
the west,
so far has He removed
our transgressions from us.
As far as
the east
is from the west,
[so] far hath he removed
our transgressions
from us.
13
כְּרַחֵ֣ם
אָ֭ב
עַל־
בָּנִ֑ים
רִחַ֥ם
יְ֝הוָ֗ה
עַל־
יְרֵאָֽיו׃
As a father
has compassion
on
his children,
so the LORD
has compassion
on
those who fear Him.
Like as a father
pitieth
[his] children,
[so] the LORD
pitieth
them that fear
him.
14
כִּי־
ה֖וּא
יָדַ֣ע
יִצְרֵ֑נוּ
זָ֝כ֗וּר
כִּי־
עָפָ֥ר
אֲנָֽחְנוּ׃
For
He
knows
our frame;
He is mindful
that
we
are dust.
For he knoweth
our frame;
he remembereth
that we [are] dust.
15
אֱ֭נוֹשׁ
כֶּחָצִ֣יר
יָמָ֑יו
כְּצִ֥יץ
הַ֝שָּׂדֶ֗ה
כֵּ֣ן
יָצִֽיץ׃
As for man,
his days
are like grass—
he blooms
like a flower
of the field;
[As for] man,
his days
[are] as grass:
as a flower
of the field,
so he flourisheth.
16
כִּ֤י
ר֣וּחַ
עָֽבְרָה־
בּ֣וֹ
וְאֵינֶ֑נּוּ
וְלֹא־
יַכִּירֶ֖נּוּ
ע֣וֹד
מְקוֹמֽוֹ׃
when
the wind
passes
over,
it vanishes,
and its place
remembers it
no
more.
For the wind
passeth over
it, and it is gone; and the place
thereof shall know
it no more.
17
וְחֶ֤סֶד
יְהוָ֨ה ׀
מֵעוֹלָ֣ם
וְעַד־
ע֭וֹלָם
עַל־
יְרֵאָ֑יו
וְ֝צִדְקָת֗וֹ
לִבְנֵ֥י
בָנִֽים׃
But from everlasting
to
everlasting
the loving devotion
of the LORD
extends to
those who fear Him,
and His righteousness
to their children’s
children—
But the mercy
of the LORD
[is] from everlasting
to
everlasting
upon them that fear
him, and his righteousness
unto children's
children;
18
לְשֹׁמְרֵ֥י
בְרִית֑וֹ
וּלְזֹכְרֵ֥י
פִ֝קֻּדָ֗יו
לַעֲשׂוֹתָֽם׃
to those who keep
His covenant
and remember
to obey
His precepts.
To such as keep
his covenant,
and to those that remember
his commandments
to do
them.
19
יְֽהוָ֗ה
בַּ֭שָּׁמַיִם
הֵכִ֣ין
כִּסְא֑וֹ
וּ֝מַלְכוּת֗וֹ
בַּכֹּ֥ל
מָשָֽׁלָה׃
The LORD
has established
His throne
in heaven,
and His kingdom
rules
over all.
The LORD
hath prepared
his throne
in the heavens;
and his kingdom
ruleth
over all.
20
בָּרֲכ֥וּ
יְהוָ֗ה
מַלְאָ֫כָ֥יו
גִּבֹּ֣רֵי
כֹ֭חַ
עֹשֵׂ֣י
דְבָר֑וֹ
לִ֝שְׁמֹ֗עַ
בְּק֣וֹל
דְּבָרֽוֹ׃
Bless
the LORD,
all His angels
mighty
in strength
who carry out
His word,
who hearken
to the voice
of His command.
Bless
the LORD,
ye his angels,
that excel
in strength,
that do
his commandments,
hearkening
unto the voice
of his word.
21
בָּרֲכ֣וּ
יְ֭הוָה
כָּל־
צְבָאָ֑יו
מְ֝שָׁרְתָ֗יו
עֹשֵׂ֥י
רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃
Bless
the LORD,
all
His hosts,
you servants
who do
His will.
Bless
ye the LORD,
all [ye] his hosts;
[ye] ministers
of his, that do
his pleasure.
22
בָּרֲכ֤וּ
יְהוָ֨ה ׀
כָּֽל־
מַעֲשָׂ֗יו
בְּכָל־
מְקֹמ֥וֹת
מֶמְשַׁלְתּ֑וֹ
בָּרֲכִ֥י
נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י
אֶת־
יְהוָֽה׃
Bless
the LORD,
all
His works
in all
places
of His dominion.
Bless
the LORD,
O my soul!
Bless
the LORD,
all his works
in all places
of his dominion:
bless
the LORD,
O my soul.
