Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. | |
| 13 | διὰ τοῦτο ἐν παραβολαῖς αὐτοῖς λαλῶ Ὅτι βλέποντες οὐ βλέπουσιν Καὶ ἀκούοντες οὐκ ἀκούουσιν οὐδὲ συνίουσιν | This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. | This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. | |
| 14 | Καὶ ἀναπληροῦται αὐτοῖς ἡ προφητεία Ἠσαΐου ἡ λέγουσα Ἀκοῇ ἀκούσετε καὶ οὐ μὴ συνῆτε Καὶ βλέποντες βλέψετε καὶ οὐ μὴ ἴδητε | Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: “‘“You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive.” | In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: “’You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. | |
