And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.1Now as Jesus was going out of the temple courts and walking away, his disciples came to show him the temple buildings.
And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.2And he said to them, "Do you see all these things? I tell you the truth, not one stone will be left on another. All will be torn down!"
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?3As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately and said, "Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.4Jesus answered them, "Watch out that no one misleads you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.5For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will mislead many.
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Make sure that you are not alarmed, for this must happen, but the end is still to come.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.7For nation will rise up in arms against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.8All these things are the beginning of birth pains.
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.9"Then they will hand you over to be persecuted and will kill you. You will be hated by all the nations because of my name.
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.10Then many will be led into sin, and they will betray one another and hate one another.
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.11And many false prophets will appear and deceive many,
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.12and because lawlessness will increase so much, the love of many will grow cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.13But the person who endures to the end will be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)15"So when you see the abomination of desolation--spoken about by Daniel the prophet--standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),
Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:16then those in Judea must flee to the mountains.
Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:17The one on the roof must not come down to take anything out of his house,
Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.18and the one in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.
And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!19Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing their babies in those days!
But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:20Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.21For then there will be great suffering unlike anything that has happened from the beginning of the world until now, or ever will happen.
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.22And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.
Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.23Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There he is!' do not believe him.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.24For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Behold, I have told you before.25Remember, I have told you ahead of time.
Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.26So then, if someone says to you, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out, or 'Look, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe him.
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.27For just like the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.
For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.28Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:29"Immediately after the suffering of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven will be shaken.
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.30Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man arriving on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.31And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:32"Learn this parable from the fig tree: Whenever its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.33So also you, when you see all these things, know that he is near, right at the door.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.34I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.35Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.36"But as for that day and hour no one knows it--not even the angels in heaven--except the Father alone.
But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.37For just like the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,38For in those days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark.
And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.39And they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away. It will be the same at the coming of the Son of Man.
Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.40Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one left.
Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.41There will be two women grinding grain with a mill; one will be taken and one left.
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.42"Therefore stay alert, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have been alert and would not have let his house be broken into.
Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.44Therefore you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?45"Who then is the faithful and wise slave, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the other slaves their food at the proper time?
Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.46Blessed is that slave whom the master finds at work when he comes.
Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.47I tell you the truth, the master will put him in charge of all his possessions.
But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;48But if that evil slave should say to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,'
And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;49and he begins to beat his fellow slaves and to eat and drink with drunkards,
The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,50then the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not foresee,
And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.51and will cut him in two, and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
