| 1And the second lot came forth to Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families: and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Judah. | 1Then the second lot fell to Simeon, to the tribe of the sons of Simeon according to their families, and their inheritance was in the midst of the inheritance of the sons of Judah. |

| 6And Bethlebaoth, and Sharuhen; thirteen cities and their villages: | 6and Beth-lebaoth and Sharuhen; thirteen cities with their villages; |
| 7Ain, Remmon, and Ether, and Ashan; four cities and their villages: | 7Ain, Rimmon and Ether and Ashan; four cities with their villages; |
| 8And all the villages that were round about these cities to Baalathbeer, Ramath of the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families. | 8and all the villages which were around these cities as far as Baalath-beer, Ramah of the Negev. This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Simeon according to their families. |
| 9Out of the portion of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon: for the part of the children of Judah was too much for them: therefore the children of Simeon had their inheritance within the inheritance of them. | 9The inheritance of the sons of Simeon was taken from the portion of the sons of Judah, for the share of the sons of Judah was too large for them; so the sons of Simeon received an inheritance in the midst of Judah's inheritance. |
| 10And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families: and the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid: | 10Now the third lot came up for the sons of Zebulun according to their families. And the territory of their inheritance was as far as Sarid. |
| 11And their border went up toward the sea, and Maralah, and reached to Dabbasheth, and reached to the river that is before Jokneam; | 11Then their border went up to the west and to Maralah, it then touched Dabbesheth and reached to the brook that is before Jokneam. |
| 12And turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chislothtabor, and then goeth out to Daberath, and goeth up to Japhia, | 12Then it turned from Sarid to the east toward the sunrise as far as the border of Chisloth-tabor, and it proceeded to Daberath and up to Japhia. |
| 13And from thence passeth on along on the east to Gittahhepher, to Ittahkazin, and goeth out to Remmonmethoar to Neah; | 13From there it continued eastward toward the sunrise to Gath-hepher, to Eth-kazin, and it proceeded to Rimmon which stretches to Neah. |
| 14And the border compasseth it on the north side to Hannathon: and the outgoings thereof are in the valley of Jiphthahel: | 14The border circled around it on the north to Hannathon, and it ended at the valley of Iphtahel. |
| 15And Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages. | 15Included also were Kattah and Nahalal and Shimron and Idalah and Bethlehem; twelve cities with their villages. |
| 16This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages. | 16This was the inheritance of the sons of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages. |
| 17And the fourth lot came out to Issachar, for the children of Issachar according to their families. | 17The fourth lot fell to Issachar, to the sons of Issachar according to their families. |
| 18And their border was toward Jezreel, and Chesulloth, and Shunem, | 18Their territory was to Jezreel and included Chesulloth and Shunem, |
| 19And Hapharaim, and Shion, and Anaharath, | 19and Hapharaim and Shion and Anaharath, |
| 20And Rabbith, and Kishion, and Abez, | 20and Rabbith and Kishion and Ebez, |
| 21And Remeth, and Engannim, and Enhaddah, and Bethpazzez; | 21and Remeth and En-gannim and En-haddah and Beth-pazzez. |
| 22And the coast reacheth to Tabor, and Shahazimah, and Bethshemesh; and the outgoings of their border were at Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages. | 22The border reached to Tabor and Shahazumah and Beth-shemesh, and their border ended at the Jordan; sixteen cities with their villages. |
| 23This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages. | 23This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Issachar according to their families, the cities with their villages. |
| 24And the fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families. | 24Now the fifth lot fell to the tribe of the sons of Asher according to their families. |
| 25And their border was Helkath, and Hali, and Beten, and Achshaph, | 25Their territory was Helkath and Hali and Beten and Achshaph, |
| 26And Alammelech, and Amad, and Misheal; and reacheth to Carmel westward, and to Shihorlibnath; | 26and Allammelech and Amad and Mishal; and it reached to Carmel on the west and to Shihor-libnath. |
| 27And turneth toward the sunrising to Bethdagon, and reacheth to Zebulun, and to the valley of Jiphthahel toward the north side of Bethemek, and Neiel, and goeth out to Cabul on the left hand, | 27It turned toward the east to Beth-dagon and reached to Zebulun, and to the valley of Iphtahel northward to Beth-emek and Neiel; then it proceeded on north to Cabul, |
| 28And Hebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, even unto great Zidon; | 28and Ebron and Rehob and Hammon and Kanah, as far as Great Sidon. |
| 29And then the coast turneth to Ramah, and to the strong city Tyre; and the coast turneth to Hosah; and the outgoings thereof are at the sea from the coast to Achzib: | 29The border turned to Ramah and to the fortified city of Tyre; then the border turned to Hosah, and it ended at the sea by the region of Achzib. |
| 30Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty and two cities with their villages. | 30Included also were Ummah, and Aphek and Rehob; twenty-two cities with their villages. |
| 31This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages. | 31This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages. |
| 32The sixth lot came out to the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families. | 32The sixth lot fell to the sons of Naphtali; to the sons of Naphtali according to their families. |
| 33And their coast was from Heleph, from Allon to Zaanannim, and Adami, Nekeb, and Jabneel, unto Lakum; and the outgoings thereof were at Jordan: | 33Their border was from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim and Adami-nekeb and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum, and it ended at the Jordan. |
| 34And then the coast turneth westward to Aznothtabor, and goeth out from thence to Hukkok, and reacheth to Zebulun on the south side, and reacheth to Asher on the west side, and to Judah upon Jordan toward the sunrising. | 34Then the border turned westward to Aznoth-tabor and proceeded from there to Hukkok; and it reached to Zebulun on the south and touched Asher on the west, and to Judah at the Jordan toward the east. |
| 35And the fenced cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth, | 35The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer and Hammath, Rakkath and Chinnereth, |
| 36And Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor, | 36and Adamah and Ramah and Hazor, |
| 37And Kedesh, and Edrei, and Enhazor, | 37and Kedesh and Edrei and En-hazor, |
| 38And Iron, and Migdalel, Horem, and Bethanath, and Bethshemesh; nineteen cities with their villages. | 38and Yiron and Migdal-el, Horem and Beth-anath and Beth-shemesh; nineteen cities with their villages. |
| 39This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and their villages. | 39This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali according to their families, the cities with their villages. |
| 40And the seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families. | 40The seventh lot fell to the tribe of the sons of Dan according to their families. |

| 42And Shaalabbin, and Ajalon, and Jethlah, | 42and Shaalabbin and Aijalon and Ithlah, |

| 46And Mejarkon, and Rakkon, with the border before Japho. | 46and Me-jarkon and Rakkon, with the territory over against Joppa. |
| 47And the coast of the children of Dan went out too little for them: therefore the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father. | 47The territory of the sons of Dan proceeded beyond them; for the sons of Dan went up and fought with Leshem and captured it. Then they struck it with the edge of the sword and possessed it and settled in it; and they called Leshem Dan after the name of Dan their father. |

| 49When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them: | 49When they finished apportioning the land for inheritance by its borders, the sons of Israel gave an inheritance in their midst to Joshua the son of Nun. |
| 50According to the word of the LORD they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in mount Ephraim: and he built the city, and dwelt therein. | 50In accordance with the command of the LORD they gave him the city for which he asked, Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim. So he built the city and settled in it. |
| 51These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country. | 51These are the inheritances which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the households of the tribes of the sons of Israel distributed by lot in Shiloh before the LORD at the doorway of the tent of meeting. So they finished dividing the land. |
