Feasts and Sabbaths 1And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 2“Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘The feasts of YHWH that you⁺ shall proclaim to be holy convocations—these are My feasts. 3Six days work shall be done, and the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You⁺ shall not do any work; it is the Sabbath of YHWH in all your⁺ dwellings. Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread 4These are the feasts of YHWH, holy convocations, which you⁺ shall proclaim at their appointed times. 5In the first month, on the fourteenth of the month, between the evenings,† is the passover to YHWH. 6And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast of the Unleavened† to YHWH. Seven days you⁺ must eat unleavened bread. 7On the first day you⁺ shall have a holy convocation. You⁺ shall not do any customary work. 8And you⁺ shall offer a fire offering to YHWH for seven days. The seventh day is a holy convocation; you⁺ shall not do any customary work.’” The Feast of Firstfruits 9And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 10“Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you⁺ come into the land that I am giving to you⁺ and you⁺ reap its harvest, then you⁺ shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your⁺ harvest to the priest. 11And he shall wave the sheaf before the face of YHWH to be accepted on your⁺ behalf. On the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12And you⁺ shall offer on that day when you⁺ wave the sheaf a male lamb, unblemished, a son of a year, as a burnt offering to YHWH. 13And its grain offering is two tenths of an ephah of fine flour† mixed with the oil, a fire offering to YHWH, a pleasing aroma. And its drink offering is of wine, a fourth of a hin.† 14and you⁺ shall not eat bread, nor parched grain, nor fresh grain, until this same day that you⁺ have brought an offering to your⁺ God; it shall be an everlasting statute throughout your⁺ generations in all your⁺ dwellings. The Feast of Weeks 15And you⁺ shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you⁺ brought the sheaf of the wave offering—they are seven completed Sabbaths— 16until the day after the seventh Sabbath. You⁺ shall number fifty days, and you⁺ shall offer a new grain offering to YHWH. 17From your⁺ dwellings you⁺ shall bring bread of a wave offering, two loaves, of two tenths of an ephah of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven, the firstfruits to YHWH. 18And you⁺ shall offer with the bread seven lambs unblemished, sons of a year, and one bull, a son of the herd, and two rams; they shall be a burnt offering to YHWH, and with their grain offerings and their drink offerings, a fire offering for a pleasing aroma to YHWH. 19And you⁺ shall sacrifice one kid of the goats as a sin offering, and two male lambs, sons of a year, as a sacrifice of peace offerings. 20And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits as a wave offering before the face of YHWH, besides the two lambs; they shall be holy to YHWH for the priest. 21And you⁺ shall proclaim on this same day that it is a holy convocation to you⁺. You⁺ shall not do any customary work; it shall be an everlasting statute in all your⁺ dwellings throughout your⁺ generations. 22And in your⁺ reaping the harvest of your⁺ land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field in your reaping, and you shall not gather the gleaning of your harvest; you shall leave them to the poor and to the sojourner. I am YHWH your⁺ God.’” The Feast of Trumpets 23And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 24“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first of the month, it shall be to you⁺ a complete rest, a memorial of shouting, a holy convocation.† 25You⁺ shall not do any customary work, and you⁺ shall offer a fire offering to YHWH.’” The Day of Atonement 26And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 27“Indeed on the tenth of this seventh month, it is the Day of Atonement. It shall be for you⁺ a holy convocation, and you⁺ shall afflict your⁺ souls† and offer a fire offering to YHWH. 28And you⁺ shall not do any work on this same day. For it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement upon you⁺ before the face of YHWH your⁺ God. 29For any person who is not afflicted on this very day shall even be cut off from his people. 30And any person who does any work on this very day, I will even destroy that person from among his people. 31You⁺ shall not do any work; it is an everlasting statute throughout your⁺ generations in all your⁺ dwellings. 32It is to you⁺ a Sabbath of complete rest, and you⁺ shall afflict your⁺ souls. On the ninth of the month at the evening, from evening to evening you⁺ shall celebrate your⁺ sabbath.” The Feast of Tabernacles 33And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 34“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths† for seven days to YHWH. 35On the first day is a holy convocation; you⁺ shall not do any customary work. 36For seven days you⁺ shall offer a fire offering to YHWH. On the eighth day you⁺ shall have a holy convocation, and you⁺ shall offer a fire offering to YHWH. It is a sacred assembly; you⁺ shall not do any customary work. 37These are the feasts of YHWH that you⁺ shall proclaim as holy convocations, to offer a fire offering to YHWH, a burnt offering, and a grain offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings—everything on its proper day— 38besides the Sabbaths of YHWH, and besides your⁺ gifts, and besides all your⁺ vows, and besides all your⁺ freewill offerings that you⁺ give to YHWH. 39Indeed on the five and tenth day of the seventh month, when you⁺ have gathered in the produce of the land, you⁺ shall keep the feast of YHWH for seven days. On the first day is a complete rest, and on the eighth day a complete rest. 40And you⁺ shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palms, and the boughs of leafy trees, and willows† of the brook. And you⁺ shall rejoice before the face of YHWH your⁺ God for seven days. 41And you⁺ shall keep it as a feast to YHWH for seven days in the year, an everlasting statute in your⁺ generations. In the seventh month you⁺ shall celebrate it. 42You⁺ shall dwell in booths† for seven days; all who are native of Israel shall dwell in booths, 43that your⁺ generations may know that I made the sons of Israel to dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am YHWH your⁺ God.’” 44And Moses declared the feasts of YHWH to the sons of Israel.
