War against Jehoshaphat

1  וַיְהִ֣י (And it came to pass) אַֽחֲרֵיכֵ֡ן (after this) בָּ֣אוּ (that came) בְנֵי־ (the sons) מוֹאָב֩ (of Moab) וּבְנֵ֨י (and the sons) עַמּ֜וֹן (of Ammon), וְעִמָּהֶ֧ם׀ (and with them) מֵֽהָעַמּוֹנִ֛ים (some besides the Ammonites), עַל־ (against) יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט (Jehoshaphat) לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ (to the battle). 2  וַיָּבֹ֗אוּ (And they came in) וַיַּגִּ֤ידוּ (and declared) לִֽיהוֹשָׁפָט֙ (to Jehoshaphat), לֵאמֹ֔ר (saying), בָּ֣א (Is coming) עָלֶ֜יךָ (against you) הָמ֥וֹן (a multitude) רָ֛ב (great) מֵעֵ֥בֶר (from beyond) לַיָּ֖ם (the sea), מֵאֲרָ֑ם (from Aram), וְהִנָּם֙ (and behold), בְּחַֽצְצ֣וֹן (they are in Hazazon-) תָּמָ֔ר (tamar)” הִ֖יא ( (that is), עֵ֥ין (En-) גֶּֽדִי׃ (gedi)).

3  וַיִּרָ֕א (And feared) וַיִּתֵּ֧ן (and set) יְהוֹשָׁפָ֛ט (Jehoshaphat) אֶת־ (-) פָּנָ֖יו (himself) לִדְר֣וֹשׁ (to seek) לַיהוָ֑ה (YHWH), וַיִּקְרָא־ (and he proclaimed) צ֖וֹם (a fast) עַל־ (throughout) כָּל־ (all) יְהוּדָֽה׃ (Judah). 4  וַיִּקָּבְצ֣וּ (And gathered together) יְהוּדָ֔ה (Judah) לְבַקֵּ֖שׁ (to inquire) מֵֽיְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH); גַּ֚ם (even) מִכָּל־ (from all) עָרֵ֣י (the cities) יְהוּדָ֔ה (of Judah) בָּ֖אוּ (they came) לְבַקֵּ֥שׁ (to seek) אֶת־ (-) יְהוָֽה׃ (YHWH).

Jehoshaphat’s Prayer

5  וַיַּעֲמֹ֣ד (And stood) יְהוֹשָׁפָ֗ט (Jehoshaphat) בִּקְהַ֧ל (in the assembly) יְהוּדָ֛ה (of Judah) וִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם (and Jerusalem), בְּבֵ֣ית (in the house) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH), לִפְנֵ֖י (before) הֶחָצֵ֥ר (the court) הַחֲדָשָֽׁה׃ (of the new), 6  וַיֹּאמַ֗ר (and he said), יְהוָ֞ה (O YHWH) אֱלֹהֵ֤י (God) אֲבֹתֵ֙ינוּ֙ (of our fathers), הֲלֹ֨א (are not) אַתָּֽה־ (You) ה֤וּא (He) אֱלֹהִים֙ (the God) בַּשָּׁמַ֔יִם (in the heavens)? וְאַתָּ֣ה (And You) מוֹשֵׁ֔ל (are ruling) בְּכֹ֖ל (over all) מַמְלְכ֣וֹת (the kingdoms) הַגּוֹיִ֑ם (of the nations)? וּבְיָדְךָ֙ (And in Your hand) כֹּ֣חַ (are power) וּגְבוּרָ֔ה (and might), וְאֵ֥ין (and there is no one) עִמְּךָ֖ (against You) לְהִתְיַצֵּֽב׃ (to stand).

7  הֲלֹ֣א׀ (Are not) אַתָּ֣ה (You) אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ (our God), הוֹרַ֙שְׁתָּ֙ (who drove out) אֶת־ (-) יֹשְׁבֵי֙ (the dwellers) הָאָ֣רֶץ (of the land) הַזֹּ֔את (this) מִלִּפְנֵ֖י (before) עַמְּךָ֣ (Your people) יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל (Israel), וַֽתִּתְּנָ֗הּ (and gave it) לְזֶ֛רַע (to the seed) אַבְרָהָ֥ם (of Abraham) אֹֽהַבְךָ֖ (Your friend) לְעוֹלָֽם׃ (forever)? 8  וַיֵּשְׁב֖וּ־ (And they dwell) בָ֑הּ (in it) וַיִּבְנ֨וּ (and have built) לְךָ֧׀ (You) בָּ֛הּ (in it) מִקְדָּ֖שׁ (a sanctuary) לְשִׁמְךָ֥ (for Your name), לֵאמֹֽר׃ (saying), 9  אִם־ (If) תָּב֨וֹא (comes) עָלֵ֜ינוּ (upon us) רָעָ֗ה (disaster), חֶרֶב֮ (sword), שְׁפוֹט֮ (judgment), וְדֶ֣בֶר (and pr pestilence), וְרָעָב֒ (or famine), נַֽעַמְדָ֞ה (we will stand) לִפְנֵ֨י (before) הַבַּ֤יִת (the house) הַזֶּה֙ (this) וּלְפָנֶ֔יךָ (and before you)— כִּ֥י (for) שִׁמְךָ֖ (Your Name is) בַּבַּ֣יִת (in the house) הַזֶּ֑ה (this)— וְנִזְעַ֥ק (and we will cry out) אֵלֶ֛יךָ (to You) מִצָּרָתֵ֖נוּ (in our distress), וְתִשְׁמַ֥ע (and You will hear) וְתוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃ (and save).

10  וְעַתָּ֡ה (And) הִנֵּה֩ (behold), בְנֵֽי־ (the sons) עַמּ֨וֹן (of Ammon) וּמוֹאָ֜ב (and Moab) וְהַר־ (and Mount) שֵׂעִ֗יר (Seir), אֲ֠שֶׁר (whom) לֹֽא־ (not) נָתַ֤תָּה (You would give) לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ (to Israel) לָב֣וֹא (to enter) בָהֶ֔ם (against them), בְּבֹאָ֖ם (when they came) מֵאֶ֣רֶץ (out of the land) מִצְרָ֑יִם (of Egypt), כִּ֛י (but) סָ֥רוּ (they turned) מֵעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם (from them) וְלֹ֥א (and not) הִשְׁמִידֽוּם׃ (did destroy them). 11  וְהִ֨נֵּה־ (And behold), הֵ֔ם (they) גֹּמְלִ֖ים (are recompensing) עָלֵ֑ינוּ (to us) לָבוֹא֙ (by coming) לְגָ֣רְשֵׁ֔נוּ (to throw us out) מִיְּרֻשָּׁתְךָ֖ (of Your possession), אֲשֶׁ֥ר (which) הֽוֹרַשְׁתָּֽנוּ׃ (You have given us to inherit).

12  אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ (Our God), הֲלֹ֣א (will not) תִשְׁפָּט־ (You bring judgment) בָּ֔ם (against them), כִּ֣י (for) אֵ֥ין (there is not) בָּ֙נוּ֙ (in us) כֹּ֔חַ (power) לִ֠פְנֵי (before the face) הֶהָמ֥וֹן (of the multitude) הָרָ֛ב (great) הַזֶּ֖ה (this) הַבָּ֣א (that is coming) עָלֵ֑ינוּ (against us), וַאֲנַ֗חְנוּ (and we) לֹ֤א (not) נֵדַע֙ (do know) מַֽה־ (what) נַּעֲשֶׂ֔ה (to do), כִּ֥י (but) עָלֶ֖יךָ (upon You) עֵינֵֽינוּ׃ (our eyes are).

13  וְכָ֨ל־ (And all) יְהוּדָ֔ה (Judah) עֹמְדִ֖ים (stood) לִפְנֵ֣י (before) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH) גַּם־ (with) טַפָּ֖ם (their little ones), נְשֵׁיהֶ֥ם (their wives), וּבְנֵיהֶֽם׃פ (and their sons).

The Prophecy of Jahaziel

14  וְיַחֲזִיאֵ֡ל (And Jahaziel) בֶּן־ (son) זְכַרְיָ֡הוּ (of Zechariah), בֶּן־ (son) בְּ֠נָיָה (of Benaiah), בֶּן־ (son) יְעִיאֵ֧ל (of Jeiel), בֶּן־ (son) מַתַּנְיָ֛ה (of Mattaniah), הַלֵּוִ֖י (a Levite) מִן־ (of) בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) אָסָ֑ף (of Asaph), הָיְתָ֤ה (came) עָלָיו֙ (upon) ר֣וּחַ (the Spirit) יְהוָ֔ה (of YHWH) בְּת֖וֹךְ (in the midst) הַקָּהָֽל׃ (of the assembly), 15  וַיֹּ֗אמֶר (and he said), הַקְשִׁ֤יבוּ (Listen) כָל־ (all) יְהוּדָה֙ (of Judah), וְיֹשְׁבֵ֣י (and dwellers) יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם (of Jerusalem), וְהַמֶּ֖לֶךְ (and King) יְהוֹשָׁפָ֑ט (Jehoshaphat)! כֹּֽה־ (Thus) אָמַ֨ר (says) יְהוָ֜ה (YHWH) לָכֶ֗ם (to you⁺) אַ֠תֶּם (You⁺): אַל־ (Not) תִּֽירְא֤וּ (do be afraid) וְאַל־ (and not) תֵּחַ֙תּוּ֙ (dismayed) מִפְּנֵ֨י (before) הֶהָמ֤וֹן (the multitude) הָרָב֙ (great) הַזֶּ֔ה (this), כִּ֣י (for) לֹ֥א (not) לָכֶ֛ם (unto you⁺) הַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה (the battle is), כִּ֥י (but) לֵאלֹהִֽים׃ (unto God). 16  מָחָר֙ (Tomorrow) רְד֣וּ (go down) עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם (against them). הִנָּ֥ם (Surely) עֹלִ֖ים (they will come up) בְּמַעֲלֵ֣ה (by Ascent) הַצִּ֑יץ (of the Ziz), וּמְצָאתֶ֤ם (and you⁺ will find) אֹתָם֙ (them) בְּס֣וֹף (at the end) הַנַּ֔חַל (of the valley), פְּנֵ֖י (before the face of) מִדְבַּ֥ר (the Wilderness) יְרוּאֵֽל׃ (of Jeruel). 17  לֹ֥א (It is not) לָכֶ֖ם (for you⁺) לְהִלָּחֵ֣ם (to fight) בָּזֹ֑את (in this). הִתְיַצְּב֣וּ (Station yourselves), עִמְד֡וּ (stand firm), וּרְא֣וּ (and see) אֶת־ (-) יְשׁוּעַת֩ (the salvation) יְהוָ֨ה (of YHWH) עִמָּכֶ֜ם (who is with you⁺), יְהוּדָ֣ה (O Judah) וִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֗ם (and Jerusalem). אַל־ (Not) תִּֽירְאוּ֙ (do fear) וְאַל־ (and not) תֵּחַ֔תּוּ (be dismayed). מָחָר֙ (Tomorrow) צְא֣וּ (go out) לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם (against them), וַיהוָ֖ה (and for YHWH is) עִמָּכֶֽם׃ (with you⁺).

18  וַיִּקֹּ֧ד (And bowed down) יְהוֹשָׁפָ֛ט (Jehoshaphat) אַפַּ֖יִם (with his face) אָ֑רְצָה (to the earth), וְכָל־ (and all) יְהוּדָ֞ה (Judah) וְיֹשְׁבֵ֣י (and the dwellers) יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם (of Jerusalem) נָֽפְלוּ֙ (fell down) לִפְנֵ֣י (before the face of) יְהוָ֔ה (YHWH), לְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֖ת (to bow down) לַיהוָֽה׃ (to YHWH). 19  וַיָּקֻ֧מוּ (And rose) הַלְוִיִּ֛ם (the Levites) מִן־ (from) בְּנֵ֥י (the sons) הַקְּהָתִ֖ים (of the Kohathites), וּמִן־ (and from) בְּנֵ֣י (of the sons) הַקָּרְחִ֑ים (of the Korahites), לְהַלֵּ֗ל (to praise) לַיהוָה֙ (YHWH) אֱלֹהֵ֣י (God) יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל (of Israel) בְּק֥וֹל (with a voice) גָּד֖וֹל (loud) לְמָֽעְלָה׃ (on high).

The Enemies Destroy Themselves

20  וַיַּשְׁכִּ֣ימוּ (And they rose early) בַבֹּ֔קֶר (in the morning), וַיֵּצְא֖וּ (and they went out) לְמִדְבַּ֣ר (into the Wilderness) תְּק֑וֹעַ (of Tekoa). וּבְצֵאתָ֞ם (And as they went out), עָמַ֣ד (stood) יְהוֹשָׁפָ֗ט (Jehoshaphat) וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ (and said), שְׁמָע֗וּנִי (Hear me), יְהוּדָה֙ (O Judah), וְיֹשְׁבֵ֣י (and you dwellers) יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם (of Jerusalem). הַאֲמִ֜ינוּ (Believe) בַּיהוָ֤ה (in YHWH) אֱלֹהֵיכֶם֙ (your⁺ God) וְתֵ֣אָמֵ֔נוּ (and be steadfast); הַאֲמִ֥ינוּ (remain steadfast) בִנְבִיאָ֖יו (in His prophets), וְהַצְלִֽיחוּ׃ (and you shall prosper).

21  וַיִּוָּעַץ֙ (And he took counsel) אֶל־ (with) הָעָ֔ם (the people) וַיַּעֲמֵ֤ד (and appointed) מְשֹֽׁרֲרִים֙ (singers) לַיהוָ֔ה (to YHWH), וּֽמְהַֽלְלִ֖ים (and those giving praise) לְהַדְרַת־ (to the splendor) קֹ֑דֶשׁ (of holiness), בְּצֵאת֙ (in the going out) לִפְנֵ֣י (before) הֶֽחָל֔וּץ (the army) וְאֹֽמְרִים֙ (and they were saying):

הוֹד֣וּ (Give thanks) לַיהוָ֔ה (to YHWH),

כִּ֥י (for) לְעוֹלָ֖ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).

22  וּבְעֵת֩ (And) הֵחֵ֨לּוּ (as they began) בְרִנָּ֜ה (to sing) וּתְהִלָּ֗ה (and to praise), נָתַ֣ן (set) יְהוָ֣ה׀ (YHWH) מְ֠אָֽרְבִים (ambushes) עַל־ (against) בְּנֵ֨י (the sons) עַמּ֜וֹן (of Ammon), מוֹאָ֧ב (Moab), וְהַר־ (and Mount) שֵׂעִ֛יר (Seir) הַבָּאִ֥ים (who had come) לִֽיהוּדָ֖ה (against Judah), וַיִּנָּגֵֽפוּ׃ (and they were struck down). 23  וַ֠יַּֽעַמְדוּ (And stood up) בְּנֵ֨י (the sons) עַמּ֧וֹן (of Ammon) וּמוֹאָ֛ב (and Moab) עַל־ (against) יֹשְׁבֵ֥י (the dwellers) הַר־ (of Mount) שֵׂעִ֖יר (Seir), לְהַחֲרִ֣ים (to devote to destruction) וּלְהַשְׁמִ֑יד (and to destroy), וּכְכַלּוֹתָם֙ (and at their finishing) בְּיוֹשְׁבֵ֣י (with the inhabitants) שֵׂעִ֔יר (of Seir), עָזְר֥וּ (they helped) אִישׁ־ (a man) בְּרֵעֵ֖הוּ (against his neighbor) לְמַשְׁחִֽית׃ (for destruction).

24  וִֽיהוּדָ֛ה (And Judah) בָּ֥א (came) עַל־ (to) הַמִּצְפֶּ֖ה (the watchtower), לַמִּדְבָּ֑ר (in the wilderness), וַיִּפְנוּ֙ (and they looked) אֶל־ (toward) הֶ֣הָמ֔וֹן (the multitude), וְהִנָּ֧ם (and behold, their) פְּגָרִ֛ים (corpses were) נֹפְלִ֥ים (fallen) אַ֖רְצָה (on the earth), וְאֵ֥ין (and no one) פְּלֵיטָֽה׃ (had escaped). 25  וַיָּבֹ֨א (And came) יְהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט (Jehoshaphat) וְעַמּוֹ֮ (and his people) לָבֹ֣ז (to take away) אֶת־ (-) שְׁלָלָם֒ (the spoils), וַיִּמְצְאוּ֩ (and they found) בָהֶ֨ם (among them) לָרֹ֜ב (an abundance) וּרְכ֤וּשׁ (and of goods), וּפְגָרִים֙ (and corpses), וּכְלֵ֣י (and articles) חֲמֻד֔וֹת (precious), וַיְנַצְּל֥וּ (and they took) לָהֶ֖ם (for themselves) לְאֵ֣ין (more than) מַשָּׂ֑א (they could carry away). וַיִּֽהְי֞וּ (And they were) יָמִ֧ים (days) שְׁלוֹשָׁ֛ה (three) בֹּזְזִ֥ים (gathering) אֶת־ (-) הַשָּׁלָ֖ל (the spoil), כִּ֥י (because) רַב־ (so much) הֽוּא׃ (it was).

The Joyful Return

26  וּבַיּ֣וֹם (And on the day) הָרְבִעִ֗י (fourth) נִקְהֲלוּ֙ (they assembled) לְעֵ֣מֶק (in the Valley) בְּרָכָ֔ה (of Beracah), כִּי־ (for) שָׁ֖ם (there) בֵּרֲכ֣וּ (they blessed) אֶת־ (-) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH). עַל־ (Upon) כֵּ֡ן (thus) קָֽרְא֞וּ (was called) אֶת־ (-) שֵׁ֨ם (the name) הַמָּק֥וֹם (of the place) הַה֛וּא (that) עֵ֥מֶק (the Valley) בְּרָכָ֖ה (of Berachah), עַד־ (to) הַיּֽוֹם׃ (this day).

27  וַ֠יָּשֻׁבוּ (And they returned), כָּל־ (every) אִ֨ישׁ (man) יְהוּדָ֤ה (of Judah) וִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ (and Jerusalem), וִֽיהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט (and with Jehoshaphat) בְּרֹאשָׁ֔ם (at their head), לָשׁ֥וּב (to go back) אֶל־ (to) יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם (Jerusalem) בְּשִׂמְחָ֑ה (with joy), כִּֽי־ (for) שִׂמְּחָ֥ם (had made them rejoice) יְהוָ֖ה (YHWH) מֵֽאוֹיְבֵיהֶֽם׃ (over their enemies). 28  וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ (And they came) יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם (to Jerusalem) בִּנְבָלִ֥ים (with harps) וּבְכִנֹּר֖וֹת (and lyres) וּבַחֲצֹצְר֑וֹת (and trumpets) אֶל־ (to) בֵּ֖ית (the house) יְהוָֽה׃ (of YHWH).

29  וַיְהִי֙ (And was) פַּ֣חַד (the fear) אֱלֹהִ֔ים (of God) עַ֖ל (on) כָּל־ (all) מַמְלְכ֣וֹת (the kingdoms) הָאֲרָצ֑וֹת (of the lands) בְּשָׁמְעָ֕ם (in their hearing) כִּ֚י (that) נִלְחַ֣ם (had fought) יְהוָ֔ה (YHWH) עִ֖ם (against) אוֹיְבֵ֥י (the enemies) יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ (of Israel). 30  וַתִּשְׁקֹ֖ט (And was quiet) מַלְכ֣וּת (the kingdom) יְהוֹשָׁפָ֑ט (of Jehoshaphat), וַיָּ֧נַֽח (and for gave rest) ל֦וֹ (to him) אֱלֹהָ֖יו (his God) מִסָּבִֽיב׃פ (all around).

31  וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ (And was king) יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט (Jehoshaphat) עַל־ (over) יְהוּדָ֑ה (Judah), בֶּן־ (a son) שְׁלֹשִׁים֩ (of thirty) וְחָמֵ֨שׁ (and five) שָׁנָ֜ה (years), בְּמָלְכ֗וֹ (in his reigning). וְעֶשְׂרִ֨ים (And twenty) וְחָמֵ֤שׁ (and five) שָׁנָה֙ (years) מָלַ֣ךְ (he reigned) בִּֽירוּשָׁלִַ֔ם (in Jerusalem). וְשֵׁ֣ם (And the name) אִמּ֔וֹ (of His mother) עֲזוּבָ֖ה (was Azubah) בַּת־ (the daughter) שִׁלְחִֽי׃ (of Shilhi).

32  וַיֵּ֗לֶךְ (And he walked) בְּדֶ֛רֶךְ (in the way) אָבִ֥יו (of his father) אָסָ֖א (Asa) וְלֹא־ (and not) סָ֣ר (did turn aside) מִמֶּ֑נָּה (from it), לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת (doing) הַיָּשָׁ֖ר (what was right) בְּעֵינֵ֥י (in the eyes) יְהוָֽה׃ (of YHWH).

33  אַ֥ךְ (Nevertheless) הַבָּמ֖וֹת (the high places) לֹא־ (not) סָ֑רוּ (were taken away), וְע֤וֹד (and still) הָעָם֙ (the people) לֹא־ (not) הֵכִ֣ינוּ (did establish) לְבָבָ֔ם (their hearts) לֵאלֹהֵ֖י (to the God) אֲבֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ (of their fathers).

34  וְיֶ֙תֶר֙ (And the rest) דִּבְרֵ֣י (of the acts) יְהוֹשָׁפָ֔ט (of Jehoshaphat), הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים (the first) וְהָאַחֲרֹנִ֑ים (and the last), הִנָּ֣ם (indeed) כְּתוּבִ֗ים (they are written) בְּדִבְרֵי֙ (in the records) יֵה֣וּא (of Jehu) בֶן־ (son) חֲנָ֔נִי (of Hanani), אֲשֶׁ֣ר (which) הֹֽעֲלָ֔ה (is taken up) עַל־ (in) סֵ֖פֶר (the Book) מַלְכֵ֥י (of the Kings) יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ (of Israel).

Jehoshaphat’s Fleet Is Wrecked

35  וְאַחֲרֵיכֵ֗ן (And after this) אֶתְחַבַּר֙ (joined) יְהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט (Jehoshaphat) מֶֽלֶךְ־ (king) יְהוּדָ֔ה (of Judah) עִ֖ם (with) אֲחַזְיָ֣ה (Ahaziah) מֶֽלֶךְ־ (king) יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל (of Israel); ה֖וּא (he) הִרְשִׁ֥יעַ (acted wickedly) לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ (in so doing). 36  וַיְחַבְּרֵ֣הוּ (And he allied himself) עִמּ֔וֹ (with him) לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת (to make) אֳנִיּ֖וֹת (ships) לָלֶ֣כֶת (to go to) תַּרְשִׁ֑ישׁ (Tarshish), וַיַּעֲשׂ֥וּ (and they made) אֳנִיּ֖וֹת (the ships) בְּעֶצְי֥וֹן (in Ezion-) גָּֽבֶר׃ (geber).

37  וַיִּתְנַבֵּ֞א (And prophesied) אֱלִיעֶ֤זֶר (Eliezer) בֶּן־ (son) דֹּדָוָ֙הוּ֙ (of Dodavah) מִמָּ֣רֵשָׁ֔ה (of Mareshah) עַל־ (against) יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט (Jehoshaphat), לֵאמֹ֑ר (saying), כְּהִֽתְחַבֶּרְךָ֣ (For your joining yourself) עִם־ (with) אֲחַזְיָ֗הוּ (Ahaziah), פָּרַ֤ץ (has destroyed) יְהוָה֙ (YHWH) אֶֽת־ (-) מַעֲשֶׂ֔יךָ (your works).

וַיִּשָּׁבְר֣וּ (And were wrecked) אֳנִיּ֔וֹת (the ships), וְלֹ֥א (and not) עָצְר֖וּ (they were able) לָלֶ֥כֶת (to go) אֶל־ (to) תַּרְשִֽׁישׁ׃ (Tarshish).
