1	Jesus had left the Temple and was going on His way, when His disciples came and called His attention to the Temple buildings.	Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple.	Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings.
2	"You see all these?" He replied; "in solemn truth I tell you that there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be pulled down."	But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”	“Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
3	Afterwards He was on the Mount of Olives and was seated there when the disciples came to Him, apart from the others, and said, "Tell us when this will be; and what will be the sign of your Coming and of the Close of the Age?"	As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”	As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
4	"Take care that no one misleads you," answered Jesus;	And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray.	Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.
5	"for many will come assuming my name and saying 'I am the Christ;' and they will mislead many.	For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.	For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.
6	And before long you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. Do not be alarmed, for such things must be; but the End is not yet.	And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.	You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
7	For nation will rise in arms against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places;	For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.	Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
8	but all these miseries are but like the early pains of childbirth.	All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.	All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9	"At that time they will deliver you up to punishment and will put you to death; and you will be objects of hatred to all the nations because you are called by my name.	“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.	“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.
10	Then will many stumble and fall, and they will betray one another and hate one another.	And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.	At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,
11	Many false prophets will rise up and lead multitudes astray;	And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.	and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
12	and because of the prevalent disregard of God's law the love of the great majority will grow cold;	And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.	Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,
13	but those who stand firm to the End shall be saved.	But the one who endures to the end will be saved.	but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
14	And this Good News of the Kingdom shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world to set the evidence before all the Gentiles; and then the End will come.	And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.	And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
15	"When you have seen (to use the language of the Prophet Daniel)	“So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),	“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—
16	"then let those who are in Judaea escape to the hills;	then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.	then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
17	let him who is on the roof not go down to fetch what is in his house;	Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house,	Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house.
18	nor let him who is outside the city stay to pick up his outer garment.	and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak.	Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak.
19	And alas for the women who at that time are with child or have infants!	And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!	How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!
20	"But pray that your flight may not be in winter, nor on the Sabbath;	Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.	Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.
21	for it will be a time of great suffering, such as never has been from the beginning of the world till now, and assuredly never will be again.	For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.	For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.
22	And if those days had not been cut short, no one would escape; but for the sake of God's own People those days will be cut short.	And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.	“If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
23	"If at that time any one should say to you, 'See, here is the Christ!' or 'Here!' give no credence to it.	Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.	At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.
24	For there will rise up false Christs and false prophets, displaying wonderful signs and prodigies, so as to deceive, were it possible, even God's own People.	For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.	For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
25	Remember, I have forewarned you.	See, I have told you beforehand.	See, I have told you ahead of time.
26	If therefore they should say to you, 'See, He is in the Desert!' do not go out there: or 'See, He is indoors in the room!' do not believe it.	So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.	“So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.
27	For just as the lightning flashes in the east and is seen to the very west, so will be the Coming of the Son of Man.	For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.	For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
28	Wherever the dead body is, there will the vultures flock together.	Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.	Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.
29	"But immediately after those times of distress the sun will be darkened, the moon will not shed her light, the stars will fall from the firmament, and the forces which control the heavens will be disordered and disturbed.	“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.	“Immediately after the distress of those days “’the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’
30	Then will appear the Sign of the Son of Man in the sky; and then will all the nations of the earth lament, when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with great power and glory.	Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.	“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
31	And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet-blast, and they will bring together His own People to Him from north, south, east and west--from one extremity of the world to the other.	And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. 32	"Now learn from the fig-tree the lesson it teaches. As soon as its branches have now become soft and it is bursting into leaf, you all know that summer is near.	“From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.	“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.
33	So you also, when you see all these signs, may be sure that He is near--at your very door.	So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.	Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.
34	I tell you in solemn truth that the present generation will certainly not pass away without all these things having first taken place.	Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.	Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
35	Earth and sky will pass away, but it is certain that my words will not pass away.	Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.	Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
36	"But as to that day and the exact time no one knows--not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.	“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.	“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
37	For as it was in the time of Noah, so it will be at the Coming of the Son of Man.	For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.	As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
38	At that time, before the Deluge, men were busy eating and drinking, taking wives or giving them, up to the very day when Noah entered the Ark,	For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark,	For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;
39	nor did they realise any danger till the Deluge came and swept them all away; so will it be at the Coming of the Son of Man.	and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.	and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
40	Then will two men be in the open country: one will be taken away, and one left behind.	Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left.	Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.
41	Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken away, and one left behind.	Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left.	Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42	Be on the alert therefore, for you do not know the day on which your Lord is coming.	Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.	“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
43	But of this be assured, that if the master of the house had known the hour at which the robber was coming, he would have kept awake, and not have allowed his house to be broken into.	But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.	But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.
44	Therefore you also must be ready; for it is at a time when you do not expect Him that the Son of Man will come.	Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.	So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
45	"Who therefore is the loyal and intelligent servant to whom his master has entrusted the control of his household to give them their rations at the appointed time?	“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?	“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?
46	Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes shall find so doing!	Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.	It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.
47	In solemn truth I tell you that he will give him the management of all his wealth.	Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.	Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.
48	But if the man, being a bad servant, should say in his heart, 'My master is a long time in coming,'	But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed,’	But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’
49	and should begin to beat his fellow servants, while he eats and drinks with drunkards;	and begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards,	and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.
50	the master of that servant will arrive on a day when he is not expecting him and at an hour of which he has not been informed;	the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know	The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of.
51	he will treat him with the utmost severity and assign him a place among the hypocrites: there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.	and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.	He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
