1 Then the LORD said to Moses, The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, The LORD said to Moses,
2 “Command the Israelites to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually. “Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil from beaten olives for the lamp, that a light may be kept burning regularly. Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually. “Command the sons of Israel that they bring to you clear oil from beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually. “Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning continually.
3 Outside the veil of the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, Aaron is to tend the lamps continually before the LORD from evening until morning. This is to be a permanent statute for the generations to come. Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, Aaron shall arrange it from evening to morning before the LORD regularly. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations. Without the vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the LORD continually: <i>it shall be</i> a statute for ever in your generations. Outside the veil of the testimony in the tent of meeting, Aaron shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the LORD continually; <i>it shall be</i> a permanent statute throughout your generations. Outside the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law in the tent of meeting, Aaron is to tend the lamps before the LORD from evening till morning, continually. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come.
4 He shall tend the lamps on the pure gold lampstand before the LORD continually. He shall arrange the lamps on the lampstand of pure gold before the LORD regularly. He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the LORD continually. He shall keep the lamps in order on the pure <i>gold</i> lampstand before the LORD continually. The lamps on the pure gold lampstand before the LORD must be tended continually.
5 You are also to take fine flour and bake twelve loaves, using two-tenths of an ephah for each loaf, “You shall take fine flour and bake twelve loaves from it; two tenths of an ephah shall be in each loaf. And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake. “Then you shall take fine flour and bake twelve cakes with it; two-tenths <i>of an ephah</i> shall be <i>in</i> each cake. “Take the finest flour and bake twelve loaves of bread, using two-tenths of an ephah for each loaf.
6 and set them in two rows— six per row— on the table of pure gold before the LORD. And you shall set them in two piles, six in a pile, on the table of pure gold before the LORD. And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before the LORD. And you shall set them <i>in</i> two rows, six <i>to</i> a row, on the pure <i>gold</i> table before the LORD. Arrange them in two stacks, six in each stack, on the table of pure gold before the LORD.
7 And you are to place pure frankincense near each row, so that it may serve as a memorial portion for the bread, an offering made by fire to the LORD. And you shall put pure frankincense on each pile, that it may go with the bread as a memorial portion as a food offering to the LORD. And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon <i>each</i> row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, <i>even</i> an offering made by fire unto the LORD. You shall put pure frankincense on each row so that it may be a memorial portion for the bread, an offering by fire to the LORD. By each stack put some pure incense as a memorial portion to represent the bread and to be a food offering presented to the LORD.
8 Every Sabbath day the bread is to be set out before the LORD on behalf of the Israelites as a permanent covenant. Every Sabbath day Aaron shall arrange it before the LORD regularly; it is from the people of Israel as a covenant forever. Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, <i>being taken</i> from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant. Every Sabbath day he shall set it in order before the LORD continually; it is an everlasting covenant for the sons of Israel. This bread is to be set out before the LORD regularly, Sabbath after Sabbath, on behalf of the Israelites, as a lasting covenant.
9 It belongs to Aaron and his sons, who are to eat it in a holy place; for it is to him a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD— his portion forever.” And it shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place, since it is for him a most holy portion out of the LORD’s food offerings, a perpetual due.” And it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it <i>is</i> most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute. And it shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy to him from the LORD’S offerings by fire, <i>his</i> portion forever.” It belongs to Aaron and his sons, who are to eat it in the sanctuary area, because it is a most holy part of their perpetual share of the food offerings presented to the LORD.”
10 Now the son of an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father went out among the Israelites, and a fight broke out in the camp between him and an Israelite. Now an Israelite woman’s son, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the people of Israel. And the Israelite woman’s son and a man of Israel fought in the camp, And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father <i>was</i> an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish <i>woman</i> and a man of Israel strove together in the camp; Now the son of an Israelite woman—his father was an Egyptian—went out among the sons of Israel; and the Israelite woman’s son and an Israelite man had a fight within the camp. Now the son of an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father went out among the Israelites, and a fight broke out in the camp between him and an Israelite.
11 The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name with a curse. So they brought him to Moses. (His mother’s name was Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.) and the Israelite woman’s son blasphemed the Name, and cursed. Then they brought him to Moses. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan. And the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the name <i>of the LORD</i>, and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother's name <i>was</i> Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:) And the son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name and cursed. So they brought him to Moses. (Now his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.) The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name with a curse; so they brought him to Moses. (His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri the Danite.)
12 They placed him in custody until the will of the LORD should be made clear to them. And they put him in custody, till the will of the LORD should be clear to them. And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them. Then they put him in custody, <i>waiting for Moses</i> to give them a clear decision in accordance with the command of the LORD. They put him in custody until the will of the LORD should be made clear to them.
13 Then the LORD said to Moses, Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, Then the LORD said to Moses:
14 “Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and have all who heard him lay their hands on his head; then have the whole assembly stone him. “Bring out of the camp the one who cursed, and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him. Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard <i>him</i> lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him. “Bring the one who has cursed outside the camp, and have all who heard him lay their hands on his head; then have all the congregation stone him. “Take the blasphemer outside the camp. All those who heard him are to lay their hands on his head, and the entire assembly is to stone him.
15 And you are to tell the Israelites, ‘If anyone curses his God, he shall bear the consequences of his sin. And speak to the people of Israel, saying, Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin. And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin. You shall also speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘If anyone curses his God, then he will bear <i>the responsibility for</i> his sin. Say to the Israelites: ‘Anyone who curses their God will be held responsible;
16 Whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD must surely be put to death; the whole assembly must surely stone him, whether he is a foreign resident or native; if he blasphemes the Name, he must be put to death. Whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him. The sojourner as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death. And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, <i>and</i> all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name <i>of the LORD</i>, shall be put to death. Moreover, the one who blasphemes the name of the LORD must be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him. The stranger as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death. anyone who blasphemes the name of the LORD is to be put to death. The entire assembly must stone them. Whether foreigner or native-born, when they blaspheme the Name they are to be put to death.
17 And if a man takes the life of anyone else, he must surely be put to death. “Whoever takes a human life shall surely be put to death. And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death. ‘Now if someone takes any human life, he must be put to death. “’Anyone who takes the life of a human being is to be put to death.
18 Whoever kills an animal must make restitution— life for life. Whoever takes an animal’s life shall make it good, life for life. And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast for beast. But the one who takes the life of an animal shall make restitution, life for life. Anyone who takes the life of someone’s animal must make restitution—life for life.
19 If anyone injures his neighbor, whatever he has done must be done to him: If anyone injures his neighbor, as he has done it shall be done to him, And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him; If someone injures his neighbor, just as he has done, so shall it be done to him: Anyone who injures their neighbor is to be injured in the same manner:
20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. Just as he injured the other person, the same must be inflicted on him. fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; whatever injury he has given a person shall be given to him. Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him <i>again</i>. fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; just as he has injured a person, so shall it be inflicted on him. fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. The one who has inflicted the injury must suffer the same injury.
21 Whoever kills an animal must make restitution, but whoever kills a man must be put to death. Whoever kills an animal shall make it good, and whoever kills a person shall be put to death. And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death. So the one who kills an animal shall make restitution, but the one who kills a person shall be put to death. Whoever kills an animal must make restitution, but whoever kills a human being is to be put to death.
22 You are to have the same standard of law for the foreign resident and the native; for I am the LORD your God.’ ” You shall have the same rule for the sojourner and for the native, for I am the LORD your God.” Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I <i>am</i> the LORD your God. There shall be <i>only</i> one standard for you; it shall be for the stranger as well as the native, for I am the LORD your God.’” You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native-born. I am the LORD your God.’”
23 Then Moses spoke to the Israelites, and they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him. So the Israelites did as the LORD had commanded Moses. So Moses spoke to the people of Israel, and they brought out of the camp the one who had cursed and stoned him with stones. Thus the people of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses. And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses. Then Moses spoke to the sons of Israel, and they brought the one who had cursed outside the camp, and stoned him with stones. So the sons of Israel did just as the LORD had commanded Moses. Then Moses spoke to the Israelites, and they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him. The Israelites did as the LORD commanded Moses.
