1 And the second lot came forth to Simeon, for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families; and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Judah. The second lot came out for Simeon, for the tribe of the people of Simeon, according to their clans, and their inheritance was in the midst of the inheritance of the people of Judah. The second lot came out for the tribe of Simeon according to its clans. Their inheritance lay within the territory of Judah.
2 And they had in their inheritance Beer-sheba, and Sheba, and Moladah, And they had for their inheritance Beersheba, Sheba, Moladah, It included: Beersheba (or Sheba), Moladah,
3 and Hazar-Shual, and Balah, and Ezem, Hazar-shual, Balah, Ezem, Hazar Shual, Balah, Ezem,
4 and Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah, Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah, Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
5 and Ziklag, and Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susah, Ziklag, Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susah, Ziklag, Beth Markaboth, Hazar Susah,
6 and Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen: thirteen cities and their hamlets; Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen—thirteen cities with their villages; Beth Lebaoth and Sharuhen—thirteen towns and their villages;
7 Ain, Rimmon, and Ether, and Ashan: four cities and their hamlets; Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan—four cities with their villages, Ain, Rimmon, Ether and Ashan—four towns and their villages—
8 and all the hamlets that are round these cities to Baalath-beer, [that is] Ramah of the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families. together with all the villages around these cities as far as Baalath-beer, Ramah of the Negeb. This was the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Simeon according to their clans. and all the villages around these towns as far as Baalath Beer (Ramah in the Negev). This was the inheritance of the tribe of the Simeonites, according to its clans.
9 Out of the lot of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon; for the portion of the children of Judah was too great for them, and the children of Simeon inherited within their inheritance. The inheritance of the people of Simeon formed part of the territory of the people of Judah. Because the portion of the people of Judah was too large for them, the people of Simeon obtained an inheritance in the midst of their inheritance. The inheritance of the Simeonites was taken from the share of Judah, because Judah’s portion was more than they needed. So the Simeonites received their inheritance within the territory of Judah.
10 And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families. And the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid; The third lot came up for the people of Zebulun, according to their clans. And the territory of their inheritance reached as far as Sarid. The third lot came up for Zebulun according to its clans: The boundary of their inheritance went as far as Sarid.
11 and their border went up westwards, and [to] Marealah, and reached to Dabbesheth, and reached to the torrent that is before Jokneam; Then their boundary goes up westward and on to Mareal and touches Dabbesheth, then the brook that is east of Jokneam. Going west it ran to Maralah, touched Dabbesheth, and extended to the ravine near Jokneam.
12 and turned from Sarid eastward, toward the sun-rising, to the border of Chisloth-Tabor, and went out to Dabrath, and went up to Japhia; From Sarid it goes in the other direction eastward toward the sunrise to the boundary of Chisloth-tabor. From there it goes to Daberath, then up to Japhia. It turned east from Sarid toward the sunrise to the territory of Kisloth Tabor and went on to Daberath and up to Japhia.
13 and from thence it passed eastward toward the sun-rising to Gath-Hepher, to Eth-kazin, and went out to Rimmon which reaches to Neah; From there it passes along on the east toward the sunrise to Gath-hepher, to Eth-kazin, and going on to Rimmon it bends toward Neah, Then it continued eastward to Gath Hepher and Eth Kazin; it came out at Rimmon and turned toward Neah.
14 and the border turned round it northwards to Hannathon: and ended in the valley of Jiphthah-el; ... then on the north the boundary turns about to Hannathon, and it ends at the Valley of Iphtahel; There the boundary went around on the north to Hannathon and ended at the Valley of Iphtah El.
15 and Kattath, and Nahalal, and Shimron, and Jidalah, and Beth-lehem: twelve cities and their hamlets. and Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem—twelve cities with their villages. Included were Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah and Bethlehem. There were twelve towns and their villages.
16 This was the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities and their hamlets. This is the inheritance of the people of Zebulun, according to their clans—these cities with their villages. These towns and their villages were the inheritance of Zebulun, according to its clans.
17 The fourth lot came forth to Issachar, for the children of Issachar according to their families. The fourth lot came out for Issachar, for the people of Issachar, according to their clans. The fourth lot came out for Issachar according to its clans.
18 And their territory was toward Jizreel, and Chesulloth, and Shunem, Their territory included Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem, Their territory included: Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,
19 and Hapharaim, and Shion, and Anaharath, Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath, Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,
20 and Rabbith, and Kishion, and Ebez, Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez, Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,

22 and the border reached to Tabor, and Shahazimah, and Beth-shemesh; and their border ended at the Jordan: sixteen cities and their hamlets. The boundary touched Tabor, Shahazumah and Beth Shemesh, and ended at the Jordan. There were sixteen towns and their villages.
23 This was the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their hamlets. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Issachar, according to their clans—the cities with their villages. These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Issachar, according to its clans.
24 And the fifth lot came forth for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families. The fifth lot came out for the tribe of the people of Asher according to their clans. The fifth lot came out for the tribe of Asher according to its clans.
25 And their territory was Helkath, and Hali, and Beten, and Acshaph, Their territory included Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph, Their territory included: Helkath, Hali, Beten, Akshaph,
26 and Allammelech, and Amead, and Mishal; and [the border] reached to Carmel westwards, and to Shihor-libnath, Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. On the west it touches Carmel and Shihor-libnath, Allammelek, Amad and Mishal. On the west the boundary touched Carmel and Shihor Libnath.
27 and turned towards the sun-rising to Beth-Dagon, and reached to Zebulun, and to the valley of Jiphthah-el northward [to] Beth-emek and Neiel, and went out to Cabul on the left, then it turns eastward, it goes to Beth-dagon, and touches Zebulun and the Valley of Iphtahel northward to Beth-emek and Neiel. Then it continues in the north to Cabul, It then turned east toward Beth Dagon, touched Zebulun and the Valley of Iphtah El, and went north to Beth Emek and Neiel, passing Kabul on the left.
28 and Ebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, as far as great Zidon; Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, Kanah, as far as Sidon the Great. It went to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon and Kanah, as far as Greater Sidon.
29 and the border turned to Ramah, and as far as the fortified city of Tyre; and the border turned to Hosah; and ended at the sea by the tract of country of Achzib; Then the boundary turns to Ramah, reaching to the fortified city of Tyre. Then the boundary turns to Hosah, and it ends at the sea; Mahalab, Achzib, The boundary then turned back toward Ramah and went to the fortified city of Tyre, turned toward Hosah and came out at the Mediterranean Sea in the region of Akzib,
30 and Ummah, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty-two cities and their hamlets. Ummah, Aphek and Rehob—twenty-two cities with their villages. Ummah, Aphek and Rehob. There were twenty-two towns and their villages.
31 This was the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities and their hamlets. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Asher according to their clans—these cities with their villages. These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Asher, according to its clans.
32 The sixth lot came forth to the children of Naphtali, for the children of Naphtali according to their families. The sixth lot came out for the people of Naphtali, for the people of Naphtali, according to their clans. The sixth lot came out for Naphtali according to its clans:
33 And their border was from Heleph, from the oak of Zaanannim; and Adami-nekeb and Jabneel to Lakkum; and ended at the Jordan; And their boundary ran from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim, and Adami-nekeb, and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum, and it ended at the Jordan. Their boundary went from Heleph and the large tree in Zaanannim, passing Adami Nekeb and Jabneel to Lakkum and ending at the Jordan.
34 and the border turned westwards to Aznoth-Tabor, and went out from thence to Hukkok, and reached to Zebulun on the south, and reached to Asher on the west, and to Judah upon Jordan towards the sun-rising. Then the boundary turns westward to Aznoth-tabor and goes from there to Hukkok, touching Zebulun at the south and Asher on the west and Judah on the east at the Jordan. The boundary ran west through Aznoth Tabor and came out at Hukkok. It touched Zebulun on the south, Asher on the west and the Jordan on the east.
35 And the fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth, The fortified cities are Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth, The fortified towns were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,
36 and Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor, Adamah, Ramah, Hazor, Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,
37 and Kedesh, and Edrei, and En-Hazor, Kedesh, Edrei, En-hazor, Kedesh, Edrei, En Hazor,
38 and Jiron, and Migdal-el, Horem, and Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh: nineteen cities and their hamlets. Yiron, Migdal-el, Horem, Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh—nineteen cities with their villages. Iron, Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath and Beth Shemesh. There were nineteen towns and their villages.
39 This was the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and their hamlets. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Naphtali according to their clans—the cities with their villages. These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Naphtali, according to its clans.
40 The seventh lot came forth for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families. The seventh lot came out for the tribe of the people of Dan, according to their clans. The seventh lot came out for the tribe of Dan according to its clans.
41 And the territory of their inheritance was Zoreah, and Eshtaol, and Ir-shemesh, And the territory of its inheritance included Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-shemesh, The territory of their inheritance included: Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir Shemesh,
42 and Shaalabbin, and Ajalon, and Jithlah, Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah, Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,
43 and Elon, and Timnathah, and Ekron, Elon, Timnah, Ekron, Elon, Timnah, Ekron,
44 and El-tekeh, and Gibbethon, and Baalath, Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath, Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,

47 And the border of the children of Dan ended with these; and the children of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and took possession of it, and dwelt in it, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father. When the territory of the people of Dan was lost to them, the people of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and after capturing it and striking it with the sword they took possession of it and settled in it, calling Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their ancestor. (When the territory of the Danites was lost to them, they went up and attacked Leshem, took it, put it to the sword and occupied it. They settled in Leshem and named it Dan after their ancestor.)
48 This was the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities and their hamlets. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Dan, according to their clans—these cities with their villages. These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Dan, according to its clans.
49 And they ended dividing the land for inheritance according to its borders. And the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them. When they had finished distributing the several territories of the land as inheritances, the people of Israel gave an inheritance among them to Joshua the son of Nun. When they had finished dividing the land into its allotted portions, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun an inheritance among them,
50 According to the word of Jehovah they gave him the city that he asked, Timnath-serah in the hill-country of Ephraim; and he built the city, and dwelt in it. By command of the LORD they gave him the city that he asked, Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim. And he rebuilt the city and settled in it. as the LORD had commanded. They gave him the town he asked for—Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim. And he built up the town and settled there.
51 These were the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed by lot in Shiloh before Jehovah, at the entrance of the tent of meeting. And they ended dividing the land. These are the inheritances that Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the people of Israel distributed by lot at Shiloh before the LORD, at the entrance of the tent of meeting. So they finished dividing the land. These are the territories that Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun and the heads of the tribal clans of Israel assigned by lot at Shiloh in the presence of the LORD at the entrance to the tent of meeting. And so they finished dividing the land.
