“And Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whom the LORD has put wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, shall do according to all that the LORD has commanded.”1Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded.
Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, everyone whose heart was stirred, to come and do the work.2And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:
And they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning.3And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.
Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from the work he was doing,4And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made;
and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded us to do.”5And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make.
So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.” And the people were restrained from bringing,6And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.
for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done—indeed too much.7For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.
Then all the gifted artisans among them who worked on the tabernacle made ten curtains woven of fine linen, and of blue, purple, and scarlet thread; with artistic designs of cherubim they made them.8And every wise hearted man among them that wrought the work of the tabernacle made ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work made he them.
The length of each curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; the curtains were all the same size.9The length of one curtain was twenty and eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: the curtains were all of one size.
And he coupled five curtains to one another, and the other five curtains he coupled to one another.10And he coupled the five curtains one unto another: and the other five curtains he coupled one unto another.
He made loops of blue yarn on the edge of the curtain on the selvedge of one set; likewise he did on the outer edge of the other curtain of the second set.11And he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling: likewise he made in the uttermost side of another curtain, in the coupling of the second.
Fifty loops he made on one curtain, and fifty loops he made on the edge of the curtain on the end of the second set; the loops held one curtain to another.12Fifty loops made he in one curtain, and fifty loops made he in the edge of the curtain which was in the coupling of the second: the loops held one curtain to another.
And he made fifty clasps of gold, and coupled the curtains to one another with the clasps, that it might be one tabernacle.13And he made fifty taches of gold, and coupled the curtains one unto another with the taches: so it became one tabernacle.
He made curtains of goats’ hair for the tent over the tabernacle; he made eleven curtains.14And he made curtains of goats' hair for the tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains he made them.
The length of each curtain was thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; the eleven curtains were the same size.15The length of one curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits was the breadth of one curtain: the eleven curtains were of one size.
He coupled five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves.16And he coupled five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves.
And he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in one set, and fifty loops he made on the edge of the curtain of the second set.17And he made fifty loops upon the uttermost edge of the curtain in the coupling, and fifty loops made he upon the edge of the curtain which coupleth the second.
He also made fifty bronze clasps to couple the tent together, that it might be one.18And he made fifty taches of brass to couple the tent together, that it might be one.
Then he made a covering for the tent of ram skins dyed red, and a covering of badger skins above that.19And he made a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red, and a covering of badgers' skins above that.
For the tabernacle he made boards of acacia wood, standing upright.20And he made boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood, standing up.
The length of each board was ten cubits, and the width of each board a cubit and a half.21The length of a board was ten cubits, and the breadth of a board one cubit and a half.
Each board had two tenons for binding one to another. Thus he made for all the boards of the tabernacle.22One board had two tenons, equally distant one from another: thus did he make for all the boards of the tabernacle.
And he made boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards for the south side.23And he made boards for the tabernacle; twenty boards for the south side southward:
Forty sockets of silver he made to go under the twenty boards: two sockets under each of the boards for its two tenons.24And forty sockets of silver he made under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons.
And for the other side of the tabernacle, the north side, he made twenty boards25And for the other side of the tabernacle, which is toward the north corner, he made twenty boards,
and their forty sockets of silver: two sockets under each of the boards.26And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
For the west side of the tabernacle he made six boards.27And for the sides of the tabernacle westward he made six boards.
He also made two boards for the two back corners of the tabernacle.28And two boards made he for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides.
And they were coupled at the bottom and coupled together at the top by one ring. Thus he made both of them for the two corners.29And they were coupled beneath, and coupled together at the head thereof, to one ring: thus he did to both of them in both the corners.
So there were eight boards and their sockets—sixteen sockets of silver—two sockets under each of the boards.30And there were eight boards; and their sockets were sixteen sockets of silver, under every board two sockets.
And he made bars of acacia wood: five for the boards on one side of the tabernacle,31And he made bars of shittim wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
five bars for the boards on the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle on the far side westward.32And five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the sides westward.
And he made the middle bar to pass through the boards from one end to the other.33And he made the middle bar to shoot through the boards from the one end to the other.
He overlaid the boards with gold, made their rings of gold to be holders for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.34And he overlaid the boards with gold, and made their rings of gold to be places for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.
And he made a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen; it was worked with an artistic design of cherubim.35And he made a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen: with cherubims made he it of cunning work.
He made for it four pillars of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold, with their hooks of gold; and he cast four sockets of silver for them.36And he made thereunto four pillars of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold: their hooks were of gold; and he cast for them four sockets of silver.
He also made a screen for the tabernacle door, of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, made by a weaver,37And he made an hanging for the tabernacle door of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, of needlework;
and its five pillars with their hooks. And he overlaid their capitals and their rings with gold, but their five sockets were bronze.38And the five pillars of it with their hooks: and he overlaid their chapiters and their fillets with gold: but their five sockets were of brass.
