| 10and said, "You who are full of all deceit and fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to make crooked the straight ways of the Lord? | 10"You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord? |
| 11"Now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and not see the sun for a time." And immediately a mist and a darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking those who would lead him by the hand. | 11Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun." Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand. |

| 18"For a period of about forty years He put up with them in the wilderness. | 18for about forty years he endured their conduct in the wilderness; |
| 19"When He had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, He distributed their land as an inheritance-- all of which took about four hundred and fifty years. | 19and he overthrew seven nations in Canaan, giving their land to his people as their inheritance. |

| 21"Then they asked for a king, and God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years. | 21Then the people asked for a king, and he gave them Saul son of Kish, of the tribe of Benjamin, who ruled forty years. |
| 22"After He had removed him, He raised up David to be their king, concerning whom He also testified and said, 'I HAVE FOUND DAVID the son of Jesse, A MAN AFTER MY HEART, who will do all My will.' | 22After removing Saul, he made David their king. God testified concerning him: 'I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.' |

| 26"Brethren, sons of Abraham's family, and those among you who fear God, to us the message of this salvation has been sent. | 26"Fellow children of Abraham and you God-fearing Gentiles, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent. |
| 27"For those who live in Jerusalem, and their rulers, recognizing neither Him nor the utterances of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled these by condemning Him. | 27The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath. |
| 28"And though they found no ground for putting Him to death, they asked Pilate that He be executed. | 28Though they found no proper ground for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him executed. |

| 34"As for the fact that He raised Him up from the dead, no longer to return to decay, He has spoken in this way: 'I WILL GIVE YOU THE HOLY and SURE blessings OF DAVID.' | 34God raised him from the dead so that he will never be subject to decay. As God has said, "'I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.' |
| 35"Therefore He also says in another Psalm, 'YOU WILL NOT ALLOW YOUR HOLY ONE TO UNDERGO DECAY.' | 35So it is also stated elsewhere: "'You will not let your holy one see decay.' |
| 36"For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep, and was laid among his fathers and underwent decay; | 36"Now when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed. |
| 37but He whom God raised did not undergo decay. | 37But the one whom God raised from the dead did not see decay. |
| 38"Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, | 38"Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. |
| 39and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses. | 39Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses. |
| 40"Therefore take heed, so that the thing spoken of in the Prophets may not come upon you: | 40Take care that what the prophets have said does not happen to you: |
| 41'BEHOLD, YOU SCOFFERS, AND MARVEL, AND PERISH; FOR I AM ACCOMPLISHING A WORK IN YOUR DAYS, A WORK WHICH YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE, THOUGH SOMEONE SHOULD DESCRIBE IT TO YOU.'" | 41"'Look, you scoffers, wonder and perish, for I am going to do something in your days that you would never believe, even if someone told you.'" |
| 42As Paul and Barnabas were going out, the people kept begging that these things might be spoken to them the next Sabbath. | 42As Paul and Barnabas were leaving the synagogue, the people invited them to speak further about these things on the next Sabbath. |
| 43Now when the meeting of the synagogue had broken up, many of the Jews and of the God-fearing proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, were urging them to continue in the grace of God. | 43When the congregation was dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who talked with them and urged them to continue in the grace of God. |
| 44The next Sabbath nearly the whole city assembled to hear the word of the Lord. | 44On the next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. |

Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles. |
| 47"For so the Lord has commanded us, 'I HAVE PLACED YOU AS A LIGHT FOR THE GENTILES, THAT YOU MAY BRING SALVATION TO THE END OF THE EARTH.'" | 47For this is what the Lord has commanded us: "'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'" |
| 48When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed. | 48When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed. |

| 51But they shook off the dust of their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium. | 51So they shook the dust off their feet as a warning to them and went to Iconium. |
