1The one who lives in the shelter of the Most High, who rests in the shadow of the Almighty,1יֹ֭שֵׁב בְּסֵ֣תֶר עֶלְי֑וֹן בְּצֵ֥ל שַׁ֝דַּ֗י יִתְלוֹנָֽן׃
2will say to the LORD, "You are my refuge, my fortress, and my God in whom I trust!"2אֹמַ֗ר לַֽ֭יהוָה מַחְסִ֣י וּמְצוּדָתִ֑י אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י אֶבְטַח־ בּֽוֹ׃
3He will surely deliver you from the hunter's snare and from the destructive plague.3כִּ֤י ה֣וּא יַ֭צִּֽילְךָ מִפַּ֥ח יָק֗וּשׁ מִדֶּ֥בֶר הַוּֽוֹת׃
4With his feathers he will cover you, under his wings you will find safety. His truth is your shield and armor.4בְּאֶבְרָת֨וֹ ׀ יָ֣סֶךְ לָ֭ךְ וְתַֽחַת־ כְּנָפָ֣יו תֶּחְסֶ֑ה צִנָּ֖ה וְֽסֹחֵרָ֣ה אֲמִתּֽוֹ׃
5You need not fear terror that stalks in the night, the arrow that flies in the day,5לֹא־ תִ֭ירָא מִפַּ֣חַד לָ֑יְלָה מֵ֝חֵ֗ץ יָע֥וּף יוֹמָֽם׃
6plague that strikes in the darkness, or calamity that destroys at noon.6מִ֭דֶּבֶר בָּאֹ֣פֶל יַהֲלֹ֑ךְ מִ֝קֶּ֗טֶב יָשׁ֥וּד צָהֳרָֽיִם׃
7If a thousand fall at your side or ten thousand at your right hand, it will not overcome you.7יִפֹּ֤ל מִצִּדְּךָ֨ ׀ אֶ֗לֶף וּרְבָבָ֥ה מִימִינֶ֑ךָ אֵ֝לֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א יִגָּֽשׁ׃
8Only observe it with your eyes, and you will see how the wicked are paid back.8רַ֭ק בְּעֵינֶ֣יךָ תַבִּ֑יט וְשִׁלֻּמַ֖ת רְשָׁעִ֣ים תִּרְאֶֽה׃
9"LORD, you are my refuge!" Because you chose the Most High as your dwelling place,9כִּֽי־ אַתָּ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה מַחְסִ֑י עֶ֝לְי֗וֹן שַׂ֣מְתָּ מְעוֹנֶֽךָ׃
10no evil will fall upon you, and no affliction will approach your tent,10לֹֽא־ תְאֻנֶּ֣ה אֵלֶ֣יךָ רָעָ֑ה וְ֝נֶ֗גַע לֹא־ יִקְרַ֥ב בְּאָהֳלֶֽךָ׃
11for he will command his angels to protect you in all your ways.11כִּ֣י מַ֭לְאָכָיו יְצַוֶּה־ לָּ֑ךְ לִ֝שְׁמָרְךָ֗ בְּכָל־ דְּרָכֶֽיךָ׃
12With their hands they will lift you up so you will not trip over a stone.12עַל־ כַּפַּ֥יִם יִשָּׂא֑וּנְךָ פֶּן־ תִּגֹּ֖ף בָּאֶ֣בֶן רַגְלֶֽךָ׃
13You will stomp on lions and snakes; you will trample young lions and serpents.13עַל־ שַׁ֣חַל וָפֶ֣תֶן תִּדְרֹ֑ךְ תִּרְמֹ֖ס כְּפִ֣יר וְתַנִּֽין׃
14Because he has focused his love on me, I will deliver him. I will protect him because he knows my name.14כִּ֤י בִ֣י חָ֭שַׁק וַאֲפַלְּטֵ֑הוּ אֲ֝שַׂגְּבֵ֗הוּ כִּֽי־ יָדַ֥ע שְׁמִֽי׃
15When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him in his distress. I will deliver him, and I will honor him.15יִקְרָאֵ֨נִי ׀ וְֽאֶעֱנֵ֗הוּ עִמּֽוֹ־ אָנֹכִ֥י בְצָרָ֑ה אֲ֝חַלְּצֵ֗הוּ וַֽאֲכַבְּדֵֽהוּ׃
16I will satisfy him with long life; I will show him my deliverance.16אֹ֣רֶךְ יָ֭מִים אַשְׂבִּיעֵ֑הוּ וְ֝אַרְאֵ֗הוּ בִּֽישׁוּעָתִֽי׃
