1 Very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb. They were carrying the spices that they had prepared. 49 |I'm sending you what my Father promised. Wait here in the city until you receive power from heaven.| And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
50 Then Jesus took them to a place near Bethany. There he raised his hands and blessed them. And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them.
