וְאֶל־
מֹשֶׁ֨ה
אָמַ֜ר
עֲלֵ֣ה
אֶל־
יְהוָ֗ה
אַתָּה֙
וְאַהֲרֹן֙
נָדָ֣ב
וַאֲבִיה֔וּא
וְשִׁבְעִ֖ים
מִזִּקְנֵ֣י
יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל
וְהִשְׁתַּחֲוִיתֶ֖ם
מֵרָחֹֽק׃
Then the LORD said
to
Moses,
“Come up
to
the LORD—
you
and Aaron,
Nadab
and Abihu,
and seventy
of Israel’s
elders—
and you are to worship
at a distance.
And he said
unto Moses,
Come up
unto the LORD,
thou, and Aaron,
Nadab,
and Abihu,
and seventy
of the elders
of Israel;
and worship
ye afar off.
2
וְנִגַּ֨שׁ
מֹשֶׁ֤ה
לְבַדּוֹ֙
אֶל־
יְהוָ֔ה
וְהֵ֖ם
לֹ֣א
יִגָּ֑שׁוּ
וְהָעָ֕ם
לֹ֥א
יַעֲל֖וּ
עִמּֽוֹ׃
Moses
alone
shall approach
the LORD,
but the others
must not
come near.
And the people
may not
go up
with him.”
And Moses
alone shall come near
the LORD:
but they shall not come nigh;
neither shall the people
go up
with him.
3
וַיָּבֹ֣א
מֹשֶׁ֗ה
וַיְסַפֵּ֤ר
לָעָם֙
אֵ֚ת
כָּל־
דִּבְרֵ֣י
יְהוָ֔ה
וְאֵ֖ת
כָּל־
הַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֑ים
וַיַּ֨עַן
כָּל־
הָעָ֜ם
ק֤וֹל
אֶחָד֙
וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ
כָּל־
הַדְּבָרִ֛ים
אֲשֶׁר־
דִּבֶּ֥ר
יְהוָ֖ה
נַעֲשֶֽׂה׃
When Moses
came
and told
the people
all
the words
and
ordinances
of the LORD,
they
all
responded
with one
voice:
“All
the words
that
the LORD
has spoken,
we will do.”
And Moses
came
and told
the people
all the words
of the LORD,
and all the judgments:
and all the people
answered
with one
voice,
and said,
All the words
which the LORD
hath said
will we do.
4
וַיִּכְתֹּ֣ב
מֹשֶׁ֗ה
אֵ֚ת
כָּל־
דִּבְרֵ֣י
יְהוָ֔ה
וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֣ם
בַּבֹּ֔קֶר
וַיִּ֥בֶן
מִזְבֵּ֖חַ
תַּ֣חַת
הָהָ֑ר
וּשְׁתֵּ֤ים
עֶשְׂרֵה֙
מַצֵּבָ֔ה
לִשְׁנֵ֥ים
עָשָׂ֖ר
שִׁבְטֵ֥י
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
And Moses
wrote down
all
the words
of the LORD.
Early the next morning
he got up
and built
an altar
at the base of
the mountain,
along with twelve
pillars
for the twelve
tribes
of Israel.
And Moses
wrote
all the words
of the LORD,
and rose up early
in the morning,
and builded
an altar
under the hill,
and twelve pillars,
according to the twelve
tribes
of Israel.
5
וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח
אֶֽת־
נַעֲרֵי֙
בְּנֵ֣י
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל
וַיַּֽעֲל֖וּ
עֹלֹ֑ת
וַֽיִּזְבְּח֞וּ
זְבָחִ֧ים
שְׁלָמִ֛ים
לַיהוָ֖ה
פָּרִֽים׃
Then he sent out
some young men
of Israel,
and they offered
burnt offerings
and sacrificed
young bulls
as peace
offerings
to the LORD.
And he sent
young men
of the children
of Israel,
which offered
burnt offerings,
and sacrificed
peace
offerings
of oxen
unto the LORD.
6
וַיִּקַּ֤ח
מֹשֶׁה֙
חֲצִ֣י
הַדָּ֔ם
וַיָּ֖שֶׂם
בָּאַגָּנֹ֑ת
וַחֲצִ֣י
הַדָּ֔ם
זָרַ֖ק
עַל־
הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃
Moses
took
half
of the blood
and put it
in bowls,
and the other half
he sprinkled
on
the altar.
And Moses
took
half
of the blood,
and put
[it] in basons;
and half
of the blood
he sprinkled
on the altar.
7
וַיִּקַּח֙
סֵ֣פֶר
הַבְּרִ֔ית
וַיִּקְרָ֖א
בְּאָזְנֵ֣י
הָעָ֑ם
וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ
כֹּ֛ל
אֲשֶׁר־
דִּבֶּ֥ר
יְהוָ֖ה
נַעֲשֶׂ֥ה
וְנִשְׁמָֽע׃
Then he took
the Book
of the Covenant
and read it
to the people,
who replied,
“All
that
the LORD
has spoken
we will do,
and we will be obedient.”
And he took
the book
of the covenant,
and read
in the audience
of the people:
and they said,
All that the LORD
hath said
will we do,
and be obedient.
8
וַיִּקַּ֤ח
מֹשֶׁה֙
אֶת־
הַדָּ֔ם
וַיִּזְרֹ֖ק
עַל־
הָעָ֑ם
וַיֹּ֗אמֶר
הִנֵּ֤ה
דַֽם־

אֲשֶׁ֨ר
כָּרַ֤ת
יְהוָה֙
עִמָּכֶ֔ם
עַ֥ל
כָּל־
הַדְּבָרִ֖ים
הָאֵֽלֶּה׃
So Moses
took
the blood,
sprinkled
it on
the people,
and said,
“This
is the blood
of the covenant
that
the LORD
has made
with you
in accordance with
all
these
words.”
And Moses
took
the blood,
and sprinkled
[it] on the people,
and said,
Behold the blood
of the covenant,
which the LORD
hath made
with you concerning all these words.
9
וַיַּ֥עַל
מֹשֶׁ֖ה
וְאַהֲרֹ֑ן
נָדָב֙
וַאֲבִיה֔וּא
וְשִׁבְעִ֖ים
מִזִּקְנֵ֥י
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Then Moses
went up
with Aaron,
Nadab
and Abihu,
and seventy
of the elders
of Israel,
Then went up
Moses,
and Aaron,
Nadab,
and Abihu,
and seventy
of the elders
of Israel:
10
וַיִּרְא֕וּ
אֵ֖ת
אֱלֹהֵ֣י

הַסַּפִּ֔יר
וּכְעֶ֥צֶם
הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם
לָטֹֽהַר׃
and they saw
the God
of Israel.
Under
His feet
was a work
like a pavement
made of sapphire,
as clear
as the sky itself.
And they saw
the God
of Israel:
and [there was] under his feet
as it were a paved
work
of a sapphire stone,
and as it were the body
of heaven
in [his] clearness.
11
וְאֶל־

ס
But
God
did not
lay
His hand
on the nobles
of Israel;
they saw
Him,
and they ate
and drank.
And upon the nobles
of the children
of Israel
he laid
not his hand:
also they saw
God,
and did eat
and drink.
12
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר
יְהוָ֜ה

וְהַתּוֹרָה֙
וְהַמִּצְוָ֔ה
אֲשֶׁ֥ר

לְהוֹרֹתָֽם׃
Then the LORD
said
to
Moses,
“Come up
to Me
on the mountain
and stay
here,
so that I may give
you
the tablets
of stone,
with the law
and commandments
I have written
for their instruction.”
And the LORD
said
unto Moses,
Come up
to me into the mount,
and be there: and I will give
thee tables
of stone,
and a law,
and commandments
which I have written;
that thou mayest teach
them.
13
וַיָּ֣קָם

וִיהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ
מְשָׁרְת֑וֹ
וַיַּ֥עַל
מֹשֶׁ֖ה
אֶל־

הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃
So Moses
set out
with Joshua
his attendant
and went up
on
the mountain
of God.
And Moses
rose up,
and his minister
Joshua:
and Moses
went up
into the mount
of God.

And
he said
to the elders,
“Wait

Aaron
and Hur
are here
with you.
Whoever
has a dispute
can go
to them.”
And he said
unto the elders,
Tarry

unto you: and, behold, Aaron
and Hur
[are] with you: if any
man

to do,
let him come
unto them.
