1	Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen, a close friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 11	Now, look, the Lord’s hand is against you. You are going to be blind, and will not see the sun for a time.” Immediately a mist and darkness fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.	And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and unable to see the sun for a time.” Immediately mist and darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking people to lead him by the hand.	Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.” Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand.
12	Then, when he saw what happened, the proconsul believed, because he was astonished at the teaching of the Lord. 24	Before his coming to public attention, John had previously proclaimed a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. 26	“Brothers and sisters, children of Abraham’s race, and those among you who fear God, it is to us that the word of this salvation has been sent.	“Brothers, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to us has been sent the message of this salvation.	“Fellow children of Abraham and you God-fearing Gentiles, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.
27	Since the residents of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize him or the sayings of the prophets that are read every Sabbath, they have fulfilled their words by condemning him.	For those who live in Jerusalem and their rulers, because they did not recognize him nor understand the utterances of the prophets, which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him.	The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath.

Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
40	So beware that what is said in the prophets does not happen to you:	Beware, therefore, lest what is said in the Prophets should come about:	Take care that what the prophets have said does not happen to you:
41	Look, you scoffers, marvel and vanish away, because I am doing a work in your days, a work that you will never believe, even if someone were to explain it to you. ”	“‘Look, you scoffers, be astounded and perish; for I am doing a work in your days, a work that you will not believe, even if one tells it to you.’”	“’Look, you scoffers, wonder and perish, for I am going to do something in your days that you would never believe, even if someone told you.’”
42	As they were leaving, the people urged them to speak about these matters the following Sabbath.	As they went out, the people begged that these things might be told them the next Sabbath.	As Paul and Barnabas were leaving the synagogue, the people invited them to speak further about these things on the next Sabbath.
43	After the synagogue had been dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who were speaking with them and urging them to continue in the grace of God.	And after the meeting of the synagogue broke up, many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who, as they spoke with them, urged them to continue in the grace of God. 47	For this is what the Lord has commanded us: I have made you a light for the Gentiles to bring salvation to the ends of the earth. ”	For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, “‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”	For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “’I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
48	When the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced and honored the word of the Lord, and all who had been appointed to eternal life believed.	And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.	When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.
