| 2He said: "The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; | 2He said, “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, |
| 3my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. | 29You, LORD, are my lamp; the LORD turns my darkness into light. | 29For you are my lamp, O LORD, and my God lightens my darkness. |

| 31"As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD's word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. | 31This God—his way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. |
