The river of God is filled with water, thou hast prepared their food: for so is its preparation. 10Fill up plentifully the streams thereof, multiply its fruits; it shall spring up and rejoice in its showers.11Thou shalt bless the crown of the year of thy goodness: and thy fields shall be filled with plenty.…
Nevertheless he left not himself without testimony, doing good from heaven, giving rains and fruitful Seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
And every plant of the field before it sprung up in the earth, and every herb of the ground before it grew: for the Lord God had not rained upon the earth; and there was not a man to till the earth.
He came near, and kissed him. And immediately as he smelled the fragrant smell of his garments, blessing him, he said: Behold, the smell of my son is as the smell of a plentiful field, which the Lord hath blessed.
Let my doctrine gather as the rain, let my speech distil as the dew, as a shower upon the herb, and as drops upon the grass.
He shall come down like rain upon the fleece; and as showers falling gently upon the earth.
